I went to Stan's because my boyfriend had gone there a few months prior and he had great service. Upon arriving Stan was extremely nice. He let me sit in the office with him while I waited and they got to my car right away. The guys were quick! It was lovely to get to know Stan and talk with him a bit. I got my new tires and started driving, unfortunately there was something that went wrong with one of my tires and kept loosing air. When I called Stan and let him know the next morning he was very apologetic, he said to bring it right in and we will see what is going on. Just terrible! Don't waste your time! I called and told my tire size and Stan quoted an installed-price for the tires I needed and I was told I could just come on in and buy them. So I drove over there and Stan was not there and the employee told me they do not have the size tires I need and tried to sell me tires that are not the original equipment size for my car! read more

The day started w/ a flat tire and I was pretty bummed. My mechanic recommended I check out Stan's. Unfortunately, I was met with more bad news...there were no used tire available for my oversized jeep wheels. I got an estimate from Stan that seemed fair. I called up a few places and confirmed I was definitely getting the better deal. But just I was ready to pay for the new tire, the guy offered to try to repair my flat. Stan is the definition of professional and service. I called this morning and Stan himself answered. I had a nail in my tire and he quoted me $15 to remove the tire, patch it up and put it back on... I don't think you can find professionalism and pricing all in one location but I sure dude. I was so happy when I came in with how fast they got that tire on and off that I settled for an alignment which wasn't costly either. Do not confuse with other tire shops around the same block, come to Stan. He guarantees his work and is a overall family man from what I see. Very hands on in his business. Stan is a nice guy. His prices are nice. But his guys do shoddy work. I bought four new tires and here's my experience. #1. The guy taking the tires off was neglectful about locating the jack. Completely ignored the jacking point, instead went for a spot that could damage the underbody. Had to intervene to get it done properly. #2. Neglectful use of the air wrench. There is no way to know the torque setting, and they did not finish up with a manual torque wrench to properly set the lug bolts. Are they at 25 ft-lb? 250 ft-lb? Who knows? #3. Neglectful about your rims. They went for the hammer-on balance weights on the pretty side of the rims, instead of using the hidden stick-on weights which are the proper choice to keep the rims looking nice. Again I had to intervene to get the job done properly. #4. Neglectful about neatness. My tires acquired some shop dirt during mounting. They didn't bother wipe it off even after I mentioned that it would be nice for new tires to look new. Didn't care. #5. Neglectful about air pressures. I forgot to bring my pressure gauge, and they never asked me what pressures I wanted, so I figured I'd just check it when I got home. At home I found they were (psi): 45, 46, 41, and 37. In Valley-speak, "I was all, like, 'Really?'" And yet prominently displayed in the shop are two signs reading "Tips welcomed." They did nothing tip-worthy in my opinion - they didn't even do the job they're paid for. There was nothing to indicate that they cared about my car, or my preferences, or about the proper mechanical methods. The job done for me was only done halfway correctly because I carefully supervised it. What about the poor customer who trusts that they're going to do the job like professionals and just waits inside until it's time to pay the bill? Too big a risk, in my opinion. read more

This shop was horrible. I really do not know where to start. First of all, let's talk about the staff, regardless of the fact that it was Sunday morning, the staff was half asleep, except the owner. So their alignment machine is not even a lift based system, it is the type that you roll on to where it only allows front wheel moments, thus they will have to Jack up the rear end, which is not a problem. So the gentlemen that attempted my alignment didn't speak English, which made it difficult. He even had to look on the hawk eye alignment system to see how he even adjust my toe. At the end I believe he only adjusted my passenger side area, I can't say much for my driver rear because he never raised up that corner. As for the front he says he couldn't adjustment because he claimed the bolts to be seized. Now commonly if the bolts are seized you would make an attempt to lube them so they can come undone, but nope! The owner wanted to get my car up on the racks to break them loose which made no sense. During my alignment the gentlemen that was actually making the adjustment would constantly have to ask for assistance from the other members, who were trying to change tires for other customers and what baffled me was that one employee was asking the other if he knew how to balance a tire, really you are in the tire business and your staff is asking each other this question. So instead getting a 4 wheel alignment I got one wheel aligned and where the owner tried to get me to come back another day, where I already lost faith in his work and then he tried to charge me the full quoted price. Maybe he is not used to having customers that actually know what's wrong with their cars and they are asking exactly what they want and the fact that I was watching over the alignment guy was something he didn't enjoy, but hey I know how mechanics are and how they say they did the work... Now the worst part is the pods that they mounted on my wheels ripped some paint off of my rear left wheel and left smudges on the other 3... Thank you for the great service... If you are incompetent then go here, but if you know exactly what you want and know how an alignment works then find another shop! read more

Do not come here in this place. Poor customer service. Arrogant and rude people. I spoke with Stan 15 minutes ago to see if I can have wheel alignment and was told yes. When I got there, this guy Jose asked me what I want and I said I want wheel alignment and told me right away I should return some other day. I looked for Stan to talk to him since I just spoke with him and this Jose just went and walked passed by me and was about to drive the car without saying anything. Then asked me do you want your car to be aligned? In a very rude manner. At this time, I was so mad because I was not sure if they really want to work or what. Spoke with Stan to tell him regarding the incident and he told me that they have been working all day and they are tired. What the hell is that? They can be rude because they are tired? I left.
