Today was a complete waste of time. Very disappointed with service and process. I contacted this location to make an appointment to have my brakes examined and repaired. After 5 hours they had determined what needed to be repaired, but informed me they had not done and could not do any repairs today. They repeatedly told me that they only had one Master Mechanic on duty, and this person was working on those repairs. Despite making an appointment because this was my only day available and wanted to get this done before going out of town. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with the way they handled my repair needs. read more

I used to go here for tires, oil changes, brake jobs, etc. I haven't had any major problems in the past. Today I went in and got an oil change and a tire rotation. They left the oil cap off my car. Initially all I noticed was the weird smell of exhaust while driving. Once I popped the hood the mistake was obvious. The lack of a cap was glaringly obvious and my (formerly) pristine engine was (is!) fully coated in oil. I called them because I was a bit irritated about the mistake as well as worried I had destroyed my engine while driving, effectively, without oil. The blase and brazen attitude I was confronted with on the phone ensures I'll never get work at this location (or chain for that matter) again. They didn't care and were more concerned with closing up shop. Do yourself a favor and find some place that cares about its customers, does a good job and actually bothers to ensure they're not ruining your car. read more

I toke my car in for a brake job. Needed the rotors cut, had never been done before. Had no sounds or issues with braking. They told me that they needed to replace my rear rotors which was not as effected as my front rotors by the pads on my front. They complete the job and told me they tested the braking. I started my trip home and notice the brakes were knocking and squealing very high. I stopped and looked at the left rear rotor and saw a crack on the edge which had to be the reason for the knocking. I know they brought me the right side to show me the back of the rotor to show me the wear. I can only assume why they did not show me where cutting the lift side nipped the rotor. So now I had to pay for the rear rotors. I later realized they are linked by the same parent company as Firestone, a company that loosened the nut on my control arm after I took my car back in for a corrected alignment because my front wheels had gone bad after one week. After they corrected the alignment, They returned the car to and as I drove out of their lot my car was going 45 degrees to the left as Was holding my car steering wheel straight. I was more concerned taking my car back after knowing this is how tire plus had my name in their system with me having never used them before. read more

Took my car in for a regular tire rotation as a part of the tire package I purchase with a new set of tires. The shop documented that the tires were rotated, however after we took the car home, upon a closer inspection, it was clear that they did not rotate the tires. read more

Arrived with a beater daily driver to get cheap tires I saw on special on their website, buy 3 get 1 free. Made an appointment on the website. Went in 30-min. prior. They started working on my car smack on my appointment time. Tires were finished in the usual time such a thing takes. Drove home and noticed that the wheels/tires were nicely balanced, which is not something I have great luck with for some reason. This particular car will be being shredded to make Chinese trinkets before I need new tires again, so I'm glad they didn't spend any time offering me this or that service! I have been going to this Tires Plus location for years. I believe they have always been honest and fair, and even recently went WAY ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY when I went in for a flat tire. They fixed my bumper too!! The mechanic noticed that it was a little detached from the back of my car and gave it a good hammer back in! No one else had been able to do so, and it looks 100% better for no extra charge. These guys are the best. They also got me out in decent time. This is a review of the Piedmont location specifically. My wife got her tire replaced here and had an awful experience. We were told to pick up the car at the end of business. When we got there - and all the mechanics were gone - we found that they had thrown away her spare tire! It had plenty of tread on it, so we - with little to no help from the attendant - had to go into the dumpster and remove all the trashed tires before we finally found her spare. Then, when we got home we discovered that the installers had stripped one of her lug nuts by obviously setting the gun too high. Not coming back here again. Other TP locations like Cascade are fine, but this location needs to get its act together. read more

If I could give this Tires Plus location a HUGE NEGATIVE rating, I would. Brought my car in for oil change. Called me and told me my front tires had 1-2mm, rear tires 4-5mm. Needed to be replaced. Said front end was out of alignment, needed to be aligned. Front brake rotors needed resurfacing. Also needed new engine air filter and cabin air filter. I asked them to do all but tires. Picked car up later that afternoon. Immediately, front end of car started to make loud 'clanking' noise when hitting a pothole or going over a speed bump. It wasn't making any front end noise when I had taken it in that morning. Took car back in, they said their master mechanic could not determine where the sound was coming from. I asked them to have another mechanic take a look. They came back and said front ball joint leaking, needed replaced - $965 and that they could not have caused the problem with the front end. We agreed to disagree (really?) and I took it to the dealer (one of most reputable dealers in the Southeast). Their master mechanic immediately diagnosed problem as bad aftermarket break pad that's likely had been damaged or moved during the rotor removal and replacement. Front tires, they said, had FIVE mm, not 1-2 and tires did NOT need to be replaced. Nothing wrong with ball joint - almost never have ball joint problems before 100,000 miles, my car only has 50,000 miles. Cost me ~$600 to put OEM break pads back on and fix what these morons at Tires Plus did to my car. They are FRAUDULENT and LIERS. DO NOT take your car to this place. They should NOT be in business. I need to 5 star yelp this store again for its people and service-Clayton and staff. Several years ago I had a bad experience at this store with my old Volvo where I'd bought tires, and stopped going for years. Clayton obviously has changed staff and they're all excellent. It can't be easy running a neighborhood store for years and hiring staff to consistently meet their standards. Fall 2013, my daughter had an accident and Classic Collision across the street recommended them for the chassis check, saying "We use them for everything." For nearly a year, I"ve become a regular for servicing my car. Now my daughter has her own car. On Friday while there I asked if we could bring it by before she takes her first road trip, to check fluids and tires. She'd just gotten the car from her grandmother and everything should be fine. Clayton and Barry said, "Of course!" When we arrived, I introduced my daughter to Uncle Clayton and Uncle Barry and explained they'll be taking care of her car. Will not be going back - Staff was friendly and shop was clean. However, had 4 new tires put on, was told I needed an alignment, oil change, fluids check etc. Drove out of the shop, TPMS was disabled on my 2014 Terrain. I thought, well thats ok, probably takes it a few miles to recalibrate. That was Thursday, today is Tuesday, doesn't work. This is a paid service mind you. Also on the way back went to spray my windshield, reservoir was bone dry. So 2 verifiable things within 5 minutes that weren't done, over looked. SO now I dont know if my oil was ever actually changed that I paid for, I have no idea if any of the fluid levels were checked, never saw a diagnostic that showed my car out of alignment (I hadnt noticed it was pulling one way or the other). I can say that 4 new tires were put on and they seem to be balanced. Thats all I can guarantee was done. Called corporate about my issues and was assured an area manager would call me. Again, this was Thursday, today is Tuesday. I called in with my case number and found out it was "resolved". Amazing. Will be cancelling my Tires Plus account ASAP. read more

Having lived in Atlanta for over five years now, I have had to search high and low for an honest mechanic. After many failed and costly attempts, including paying for an oil change at ntb only to find out two weeks later they used dirty oil, I had given up hope. A coworker told me she takes her car to Tires Plus on Piedmont Road in Buckhead so I figured I would give it a shot. I am so happy with Clayton and his team that I will not only ONLY take my car to this location, but I recommend them to all of my friends. They are honest and always send out loyalty coupons if you sign up for them. I highly recommend calling ahead of time and making an appointment as giving them a heads up will cut down the wait time. Another plus is that the staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. I have been a long time customer of Tires Plus Tires Plus in Powder Springs Ga . I took my vehicle to tires plus to have it looked it due to way vehicle was driving and needing a press in bearing . They indicated bearing could not be removed so they put new axle on 4/7/16 at the Piedmont Store less then 100 miles later the axle started leaking from rear end I took it to the Powder Spring location where I was near and they indicated it needs a new rear in which was on 4/22/16 less then 200 miles later when I call corporate to ask why I wasn't informed that vs the previous work they said it needed corporate indicated I would be receiving a refund almost a week later still being passed around no solid answer I would not do business with this company lost a valuable customer ! read more

First of all, Tires Plus Buckhead is conveniently walking distance from my office. I had my car broken into and a window shattered one weekend; I was able to drop my car off before work and pick it up same day with a new window. They are efficient, responsive, and extremely helpful. My knowledge of vehicle maintenance is limited and I have been taken advantage by other places. The worst customer service!...I went there to install a tire that I had bought somewhere else, and when I asked them to call the insurance company for the road hazard insurance approval, they told me they don't deal with insurance companies. They told me they make money selling tires, not installing tires, so they did not want to help me with the approval of my tire's road hazard insurance. Finally they called, but the experience was so damaged already that I would not recommend anyone to bring a tire for installation. If you want good customer service, you will have to buy tires from them. Otherwise, stay away! read more

I have been following the manager of this store for 10 years from 4 differrent stores because of his honesty. I always receive great service and very good prices on my 3 cars that I have. I call other places just to make sure he is taking care of me and the prices I pay are always less.I recommend taking your car to the same place for everyrthing and that way when you need something done you are assured of great service. There was only I time the car wasn't fixed as requested and here is what happened. My transmission wasn't working correctly and I dropped the car off on a Sunday when Clayton was off. Was told the car was fixed and picked it up and after 20 minutes driving it the same problem occured. Called Clayton on Monday and he gave me a refund. You wonder why mechanics and tire places have a bad reputation, this establishment is the reason. I bought a set of new tires and within three weeks, one had blown out on the side. I brought it back to them and they wouldn't replace it although it was clearly defective. They claimed I hit something. If you hit something, like a nail, the puncture is on the bottom of the tire, not on the side. I would avoid this place at all costs read more

I would avoid this business at all costs! I took in a car that had never had any problems starting for a diagnostic and was called by the staff at tires plus and told that they were having trouble starting my car. When I went in they told me that I needed a new battery immediately. Sure enough, when I tried to start my car the battery would not turn over... A funny coincidence since this car had never had any problems starting until this very day! When I refused to buy a battery from tires plus that day they offered to recharge the battery for me... They charged it in about 30 seconds and I drove away and had no problems restarting it again. Basically, they will just drain your battery so that you think that you can't leave unless you buy a new one. On a separate day, they sold me two new tires but did not fill them completely with air so one of them was nearly flat by the next day. When I came in to ask them about this problem, they did not check the tire for problems. They just wanted to fill it with air and send me on my way. On the door they state that they want to be your trusted neighborhood car care center... As a woman and as a neighbor, I would say that this is the least trustworthy car care center I have ever been to. They do not take care of you, they do not send you on your way in peace and security and they practice on ethical selling techniques. Buyer beware! read more

If you find some place to do small job, I am sure this is not the right one. I had to wait three hours for just the oil change job. Moreover, I am still not sure if they did really change the oil for my car. No stick was left on my car to remind me of the next oil change. The tire rotation job was not done even though I confirmed twice with the staff there. When I asked if they did it, they said they did. Unfortunately for them, I know the positions of the all tires because one of the tires lost its wheel cover recently. They just lied to me. This even made me feel they actually did nothing but charged me for oil change too. It might be just because the job was too small for them and they did not want to keep me more than three hours so they called it a finish. It's "awesome" honest place. read more
