Randy helped me out when I had a nail in my tire. I showed him this picture to save him a trip to my car to inspect it. Looking at this picture he thought initially I would need a new tire. Of course every car owner hopes for a repair but new tires are part of life so he quoted me some and even called the parts people to get me a new tire sent to that location ASAP. I ubered home since we have 3 cars I didn't need it right away. No big deal. Got back to work. Well he called me probably less than an hour later and said they were going to be able to repair it!! He could have given me a new tire that I already agreed to and made more money off of me but because he is an honest man I got out of there for $23! Thank you so very much! read more

We walked in and asked to air up one tire and get them to diagnose the problem after the air pressure dropped suddenly. Not only were they too busy (which is understandable in this type of business), but they wouldn't allow us to air the tire up before going on our way. Zero eye contact and refused to point us in the direction of the Firestone, which was on the same street. Absolutely zero common courtesy. read more

I had this place put a water pump on my F150. I told them to put on a new fan belt also. they charged me 170 dollars plus parts for changing the fan belt but they already had to take the fan belt off when they changed the water pump. they tried to charge me twice for changing the same part. they have to remove the fan belt to replace the water pump and put it back on. 170 dollars for something they already had to do anyway. If you use this place, watch your bill closely. read more

Losing one repeat customer at a time. One star again for the bald guy with the red beard. Took my car in to get a warranteed tire with a slow leek repaired. I was told that I couldn't get in until next week or I could leave it that day & he may get to look at it. Excuse was "not enough help" & basically this store is more interested in selling tires than helping someone in dire need of getting a tire repaired after paying over a $1,000 to get a set of tires with a warranty so I could get back on the road safely. Paid 1200$ over the course of one and a half months only for them to replace wheel bearing and hub assemblies I didn't ask to be changed. I specifically asked for the noise that is coming from my car to be fixed. They clearly didn't test drive the car as the front desk gentleman stated (after I paid 600$ on the second visit) that the noise was gone. Two seconds after driving away I hear it. I want my money back or the noise to be fixed. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Had a wheel alignment done when we left the store heard a horrible grinding noise. When I removed the wheel to look what it was they bent the metal cover to where it was rubbing on the rotor. And they left the hood of the car open. read more

My husband took my Equinox in for a diagnostic because of of something going on in my front end. They diagnosed that I need struts and shocks, I went in Tuesday and we go a call to come pick it up Thursday afternoon, after I got off work, around 4pm. My husband dropped me off, He and I went in and the bill was $913. I paid in cash. Upon driving home, I noticed the same sound that I witnessed when we took it in for service. My husband called and spoke with someone in the shop and was told that was to be expected because it would take 2-3 weeks for the kinks to work its way out. I went to the store, on the way back home, my I head a load noise in my front end and my car froze, right because I heard what sounded like something broke in the front of my vehicle, it froze and would not move. I am on a busy street, Parallel Parkway, Kansas City Kansas at a busy time of day, I put on my hazard lights. My husband had to come with our two granddaughters and direct traffic in order for no one to run into the back of the car. We had to call a tow truck, when the truck arrived the operator said the mechanic left the screw out of the break and the calibulat was sitting on top of the tire and would not move, We had to have it towed back to Tire's Plus. MISOGYNISTIC sheisters! Dont go here if you want an honest deal. Especially if you are a woman! Save yourself and go literally anywhere else. They messed up the rim of my tire on my brand new to me car. Then told me it was curb damage. I would have said ok, except I dont park my car on the street. Plus the damage goes around only the entire rim of the tire they changed. Nowhere else. Also the front person said my maintenance light was on and I had to get an oil change right now with them. No it wasn't and I'm not due for an oil change for 4000 miles. Apparently if you are a woman they think you are an idiot. Save yourself and go elsewhere. read more

I walked in here last week and wanted to get a small tractor tire fixed. I must have stood there for 5-10 minutes. No workers in the receiving area and no mechanics out in the service area. Just be wise and go to another mechanic - anywhere has to be better than here. I Have been going to this place for years. However, when the guy with the bald head and red beard started working there everything went down hill. They hire lazy people who have no professional skills at all. You can tell in the tone of their voice that they don't want to do the work. They said I needed my thermostat replaced and it would be over $800 I took it to another shop and they replaced the thermostat for total cost of $446.85. I took my truck there to have the front rotors and breaks done. They said they replaced the rotors on the front and breaks on all four tires. They said I had no oil in the truck although it was just in for an oil change - so, they charged me for an oil change. The truck has been to that shop for the same repairs repeatedly and now my back breaks are making noise less than 2 months after $1058 in repairs. My dad had me to go to this place, but time have changed and I no longer will take my car here. I also walked in once and the employees were fighting - that made me scared and uncomfortable. read more

I went to the shop a few weeks ago to get a new tire put on. After they changed the tire they informed me that I was going to need new brakes and a brake caliper and gave me an estimate for $554for a brake job including $269 for a remanufactured caliper ( not counting labor). Since I did not have the money I left. I bought the parts myself and had them put on today. After removing the pads and visually inspecting the original caliper, I was advised by the technician that there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. So, the good news is I get to send back the BRAND NEW IN THE BOX caliper that I paid $75 for back for a refund. The bad news is that the shop was apparently prepared to charge me off for almost $300 for an unnecessary repair. And coincidentally, I was advised that one of the lugs for that new tire I had put on had been sheered off. He advised this sometimes happens when the impact wrench is over torqued. Since there is no way to prove this was in relation to the shop, I am going to let that go. But that $75 I just saved apparently will need to be put toward the cost of replacing the wheel hub bearing or whatever it's called. read more

Update: .......and the tire still has a slow leak. So technically, nothing is fixed. I should have learned my lesson a few years ago. Took a tire to the very same place, with the same results. Had to end up taking it to a Firestone and get it fixed properly. So now....I've thrown away money twice at the same place over the years, for the same type of problem....and results. UGH. read more

I have been going to this location for years. I have given them alot of money many times, It was always worth it. I've had tires, joints, shafts, brakes you name it done here and always done right. While the wait time leaves something to be desired it's probably because this location actually does a good job. Tires are very well priced, however auto Parts have a very high markup, but thats with all shops like this anymore. They do a good job and listen to your concerns. Once the guy even rode with me so I could duplicate my difficult to reproduce problem and again it was fixed right the first time. I will recommend this location to anyone when asked. Unfortunately because of the shady practices at the Tires Plus 75th and Metcalf location ( which I couldn't in good conscience even recommend to the IRS agent auditing me) I cant give this company any more business(see my review of that location). Bottom line if you stick to this location and don't mind a little wait they are nice guys, they will treat you right and get you on your way with a quality repair or new set of tires. read more

We've bought tires from here before but never had the oil changed. Service person was able to get me in immediately and it didn't take long at all for the oil to be changed. Will be going back for the next one. read more
