I already know that car shops get a bad rep for many reasons, but I usually look past that until I went here. I came in for a wheel bearing replacement and new breaks (a total of about $960). Brought the car in at 9am and it wasn't finished until about 3:30 (usually should take about three hours). When I leave the shop, I noticed that my alignment was off (shouldn't they test that before handing it over to the owner?). I turned around and had to wait over almost two hours for them to fix my alignment. The man at the front desk almost charged me $85 for the service that should've been taken care of in the first place. Then again, as I was driving home, I heard a loud scraping noise from my new bearing and there was a burning smell to it. I called the place and said they couldn't take a look at it because the shop was closed for the night. Now I have to go in tomorrow morning to have them check out what is going on. I just can't believe that they didn't think to test drive my car before returning it to me. I thought I was going to like this place, and Tires Plus in general, because they were offering their services at a cheaper price than where I usually go and because Rene was so kind. I had a tire replaced at a different location and they were very accommodating. It's hard to find a car shop that anyone can trust. This one just didn't work out for me. read more

I have always had a great experience with this place. Being that I recently moved I tried to start at a new place near my home, I made an appointment at this new place a few hours beforehand, I get there and they decide to tell me that their systems just went down... I'm thinking, if it just went down and you all were open hours beforehand, why not provide me with a courtesy call? So I just thanked them and came to my original place and as always, so very friendly no matter how busy they are. I will always come here going forward. read more

I went to tires plus a couple weeks ago after my car's tire popped right outside their shop. The employee came out to check my tire and recommended an alignment and new tire. I agreed. My car hasn't been the same since. I felt like I could barely control the steering wheel so I took my car back to tires plus where they said they would fix my alignment. Afterwards not only were things unchanged, but I had two things missing from my trunk including under garments (why would you need those? I feel disgusted and violated now) and a mic that I use for work. I took my car to the dealership, where I was told that tires plus overcharged me and advised me to contact tires plus for a refund on the unnecessary charge. I ended up speaking to a manager who was nice and I did get refunded for the unnecessary charge. But just the fact that I had to show back up to face these people to get the refund made me uncomfortable. I took my car to another mechanic who did make improvements but my car still isn't the same. I live very close to this location and now just have an unsettling gross feeling every time I drive past it. read more

I was blown away by the customer service I received from Drew at Tires Plus in Smyrna. Long story short, I was panicking when my tire picked up a nail and was losing air while I needed to quickly get to my kids' daycare to pick them up within 45 minutes. I headed to Tires Plus across the street from the gas station where I discovered the issue and Drew was answering multiple phone calls and helping multiple customers while keeping a positive attitude. When he got to me, he could see how anxious I was about having to drive 45 minutes on a tire with a nail in it with my kids in the car and he gave me options -- multiple options -- for a new tire. Come to find out, I actually needed all new tires. When I explained the urgency with which I needed the work completed, he offered to head back to the garage and do the work himself since he had the experience. So impressed with that level of personally taking on making sure the customer's needs were met. And he was friendly about it! Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing. I felt it was a lot more reasonable than Sears for equal quality tires. Huge fan of this experience at Tires Plus and I will definitely be back next time I need work like this done. read more

Yesterday, 7/19/22 I was leaving on a business trip when I saw the "Low Tire Pressure" warning light on my dashboard. Unfortunately for me, I can't go to a gas station to fill my tires because my tires take 44 and 48 pounds and those gas station air pumps aren't powerful enough for the job. It was early so I saw that Tires Plus opens at 7 AM so I drove there and arrived at 7 AM. There was a woman at the counter and as I walked towards the door she went into the shop. I purposely stood where she could see a customer was there. She saw me and continued to mill around in the shop. Finally, she walked towards the office and instead of coming to the counter to help me, she went out a door to the outside of the shop. It was right next to the entrance door so I went out the door and said "Good Morning", she barked back I'll be with you in a minute. Her tone of voice said everything. She did NOT want to help me. When she came to the counter she asked if I had an appointment. I told her no I just needed air for my tires. She looked me dead in the eyes and said, "The compressors are down." This is the FIRST tire store in which the Compressors were DOWN! I can guarantee I will NEVER give them any business. Why does Tires Plus put a disgruntled person at the point of purchase??? I went today with a tire that was mostly deflated yesterday. It was after a holiday weekend and a little crowded. The staff were each respectful and fast. The technician explained my tire appeared not to have a hole but that they would submerge it to be extra thorough. Then he explained that tires lose 2 lbs of pressure per month and that I may have just lost air. He refused to charge me. I'm a woman and used to suspecting what happens when I take my car in and get lots of high quotes. They could have easily charged me just for checking it out. Really excellent and professional service. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I visited this location after moving to the area. I have always used Tires Plus for car maintenance - have done so for 6 years. This experience, however, left me annoyed and incredibly disappointed. Their customer service skills, was good because they have a trustworthy looking guy at the desk. I went in for an oil change, balancing and alignment. This was to have been a quick visit but ended up telling me that my shocks/struts were out, my brakes were bad, and my tires were feathered. My tires are less than a year old, my struts had been replaced at the 120k servicing 6 mos earlier and my tires were in more than good shape. I reminded them I was in for an oil change, nothing more. They did so and forgot to fill up my anti-freeze and wiper fluid. I now take my car to the original store in Decatur for better service from technicians who were not trying to fleece me of $2400. Don't fall for the "we plug/patch for free" thing. They will tell you they can't because of whatever reason and then try to sell you a tire. They get pissed when you don't buy. The only great reviews are from people who are shelling out a bunch of money. I asked what their standards are for not plugging a tire and they said I'd have to call corporate. "Excessive edge wear". Ok, what depth am I required to have. I'm at 5! Bait and switch. Don't think you will get in and out for nothing. Nothing is free. read more

I had the bad luck of having to replace 2 flat tires in one week in June 2012 (metal shards on the road). The closest tire place for me is Tires Plus. I went there and got the tires. As a courtesy, they also filled air in the spare tire. Unfortunately, they did not fit the spare tire cover correctly because it fell on the highway the next day. Fortunately, no one was injured. I informed them of this mishap and they promptly offered to replace the spare tire cover. A new spare tire cover for my car costs $550. I don't expect them to pay for that since my car is 6 years old. In the end they just gave me $200 so I could buy a used cover of my choice. I just moved to the area and needed an oil change. I had an appointment and still waited about 30 minutes which I did that all the time back where I used to go and thought it was normal. When they called me to the register they apologized profusely even though I never complained and they told me my time was valuable and gave me a free coupon for next time. I also asked a simple question about care for my car and the cashier more than answered it even printing up extra guides for me to take home. Very friendly and outstanding customer service-- they definitely went the extra mile. I would recommend to anyone for oil changes and I will be going back! read more

I had an appointment at 12pm and as soon as o walked up the the service desk, I was asked a few questions and was told right away that they'll take 2 hours (for new tires and an alignment). While I waited, they had a little area for my son to play and a tv. They were very honest about certain parts that went bad and they were very knowledgeable about my car. One of the service agent was really nice to my son and bought him a Powerade! She was very sweet! Their customer service is outstanding and I will definitely be revisiting for any of my car needs!! I was really excited to try this place after seeing all the reviews! I'm a transplant who is use to her mechanic father doing all the work on her car. The staff was friendly and so I was very excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, I left feeling taken advantage of. I had one tire that needed to be replaced due to a bubble in it. I was called and informed that all of my tires needed to be replaced. Being a girl I don't always trust what is recommended because I found people try and take advantage of this fact but I'm well informed. I agreed for two because my tires were only 2 years old and very good tires. I'm glad I refused because I checked my tires when I got my car back and the tread was still good. I was also not given any option on tires and had crappy brand tires placed on my car. I spent almost 400 dollars for cheap tires when I've paid only 700 for all 4 of more expensive tires. At this point there's no going back and I feel trapped with these crappy tires. read more

Home of the $17 lug nut. Yep, that's how much they charged me for a lug nut. And I needed four. When I complained about being ripped off, they invited me to fill out a credit card application and 'save 10%'. Previously, I bought my tires here unfortunately and should have known better when they presented me with a tire quote that included many 'extras', that at first were 'necessary', but after questioning the salesman I was told they weren't really necessary. I guess they just figure most people won't ask. Since they rotate the tires for free and I bought lifetime alignments, I have been bringing it back for $35 oil changes, which always end up being $75 once you add the extra oil charges. You always get an upsell call when you drop it off. One time I relented on the upsell call and paid $179 for a new timing belt. Two days later, the belt shredded in my engine and I nursed it back to the shop. They replaced it free of charge and assured me that no engine damage occured. A week later, the second belt exploded under my hood. I had to pay to get it towed back to the shop that time. They did refund me the cost of the belt and seemed truly apologetic and assured me no engine damage occured. The third belt has not exploded yet in six month or so but my mileage is down significantly. I would not recommend this place for these reasons: price, quality of workmanship, hidden/surprise charges, upsell and $17 lug nuts. read more

When the issue was presented to the manager, nothing was done to correct the issue. Avoid at all cost and do not use this location. Very disappointed. read more

I almost died yesterday due to Tires Plus's inattention and lack of integrity. To make a long story short, I had my brakes changed at Express Oil. I was having problems with my car after that, so I went to Tires Plus in Smyrna to have a full check-up done on my car. I told the employees that my brakes had just been replaced and I believed they were the source of the problems with my car. They went back and did the check-up and came back to me and said that "everything is in tip-top shape." I expressed my deep concerns that there was definitely something wrong and that I was afraid of having a wreck due to bad mechanic work. I asked them to please check the brakes again to make sure they were in good shape and installed correctly. They went back into the shop and came back and said again that nothing was wrong. That was a month ago. My car has still been having problems, but I thought since Tires Plus said nothing was wrong, that my car was just getting old. Yesterday, my brakes went out on 400 North and I was almost killed. Upon bringing my car to Firestone (a sister company of Tires Plus), they told me that nothing had been replaced on my brakes in at least a year. They found numerous other problems, as well. The total amount of damage to my calipers, brakes and brake related machinery was $1056. The manager kindly showed me what was left of my brakes. My calipers were clearly stuck, my brakes were nothing but metal. He said that if an employee had taken the tire off, they would have had no problem seeing that there was a serious issue. When he reviewed the report that was done on my car, there was nothing written about the brakes. He told me that employees are trained to write down EVERYTHING. Even if the brakes are good, they have to write down the measurements. However, on the paperwork for my car, it was clear that no one had even LOOKED at the brakes. Although, Express Lube repaired my car and Tires Plus footed the bill, I believe that this is a story that NEEDS to be shared with the Atlanta community. If they had failed to repair my a/c or windshield wipers, I would be understanding. Brakes are the thing that separate us from danger. The fact that two separate companies flat out LIED about my brakes and charged me for work that was not done scares the hell out of me. These are auto care chains trusted by mothers with children in the back seat and they are willing to skip such important steps to ensure safety. Left the car there for a tire fix. They said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to get the repair done. We kept calling and calling. It took them 4 hours to take a look at the tire. When they called us back, they said that the tire could not be repaired because there were 2 holes close together. We called our dealership who said to bring it in. The dealership said that there were 2 holes but they were not close at all. They repaired the tire and washed the car all for free in an hour. Won't be going back to tires plus again! read more

The hardest part about owning an older model car is trusting a mechanic. I have been taking my Toyota 2004 to Tires Plus since I bought it in '06. The front desk workers and mechanics are trustworthy and always treat me fairly, which sometimes is difficult being a woman. The waiting room area is always clean. If you make an appointment, they are very upfront about how long your repair should take and they call you on your cell when you need to return. What I like most is that before they perform any additional work that they may find once they start, they call and discuss the situation with you completely. Usually I go with the recommended service, but sometimes I'll pass until a leter date. We moved to a different part of Smyrna and I still bring my car back to Tires Plus. Peace of mind is priceless. read more

Got a flat tire traveling from Florida to Wisconsin after the Holidays. 3:30 AM I was able to make it to a gas station to put the spare on but needed a tire repair shop to repair or replace the regular tire so we could continue on our way. Tires Plus opens at 7 AM but called at 6:55 AM and was told if I came in they could help me immediately. The lady answering the phone and running the front desk was excellent. She was knowledgeable about tire replacement, if I needed it, but told my they would repair my tire if possible. They repaired the tire and put my spare back in its place. They also checked the air in my other 3 tires. Service techs were excellent and went the extra mile to make sure everything was right. Very impressed that they repaired my tire for $17 instead of trying to sell me a new one that I didn't need. Very honest business. All employees very friendly and customers in store were friendly as well and seemed like they were regulars at this location. Made it back to Wisconsin with no troubles.
