I never knew this about Discount Tire but if your tire is repairable, they will complete the repair for free. This location has abysmal customer service. Despite spending over $10,000 at Discount Tire in Alpharetta, including $3,000 on 40-inch tires for my truck, this location refused to assist us in any meaningful way after a pothole in downtown Atlanta damaged two of our right-side Pirelli tires. We were told we'd have to pay nearly $1,500 for replacements, even though we had their so-called insurance certificates. In Alpharetta, the certificates were included for free as part of the purchase, but apparently, that standard doesn't apply here. You would think a loyal customer who has spent so much money with this company would be treated with some level of respect or consideration. Instead, we were met with complete indifference. This experience shows how little this location values its customers. I would strongly advise against going here--you'll get no help when you actually need it. I've used this Discount Tire location many times across multiple vehicles (two Lexus) and they consistently deliver tremendous customer experience. I've been to this location a few times during my ~6 years in the Smyrna area. They're always so nice and I've never had an issue. I've replaced my tires here a couple times. I recently had a flat from a screw and I took it in and within the hour it was patched and plugged and I was ready to go. They didn't charge for the flat repair which is wild to me. That's exceptional service. I'll continue to give them my business. Pro tip: make an appointment even if you think you don't need one. Never hurts. I arrived and walk ins were waiting and I was out within a very reasonable time considering it was pretty busy. I've been going to Discount tire for years and it's usually an okay experience, but today my sales representative, Quetin H. was so rude and unprofessional. I explained an issue that I was having with my car. I suspected it was the tires or the rotor but I told him I wanted them to take a look (the car is used, but I just got it so I wanted to rule out any issue with the tires.) Before even looking at it he very dismissively tells me that from his training he knows it's not the tires. I ask him to at least take a look at it for my own peace of mind and he said that he didn't want to take my money ($60 service fee). I tell him that I just purchased the car and I don't mind paying. He then says, that he understands that but there's nothing they can do. After I insisted several times, he comes out and measures the tires. I tell him that my husband said that the right front tire looked weird, and Quetin says, "what does weird even mean?" After he finished measuring them he told me that the tread on the front two tires was low and I will need to replace them soon. I then tell him, "that's what my husband meant by weird." He didn't like that comment too much. I tell him that I would like to replace them now, and he is STILL trying to argue with me and tell me that that's not the issue with my car. I tell him that I understand and I have an appt with the dealership to take a look at my car, but since I'm here I might as well replace the two tires that already have low tread (I'm traveling soon, so why not!?). He then nonchalantly says, fine then. Like why do I have to beg for service and to replace tires that have low tread? I had an appointment scheduled so I don't understand why it was such an issue for him. Worst salesperson ever, and his customer service is non existant. When I told my husband later about my experience, he was very upset that the man treated me that way and told me that next time he would go with me because he doubts that he would talk to him that way. Do not come here if you need something fixed that day. brought a singular tire in with a nail to get replaced and they said there was a queue so it would take about an hour or two to get to my tire. strange considering there were few cars at the location getting worked on. dropped the tire off at 12, waited till 2:45 to call and ask what is going on just to be told it will be another hour and 30 minutes. it's currently 3:07 and i have work in 20 mins and i don't have transportation. not sure if they're understaffed, have poor management or just altogether a bad place to go but save your time and money. read more

Took my car in with a screw in the tire causing a slow leak. Was told that because of the place of the screw in the tire (bottom edge), it would need to be replaced. The estimated time to perform the service was 2 hrs. After 3.5 hours the job was finally completed. Because I only have one car I had to wait at the store the entire time. I've been frequenting this Spring Road DT near The Battery for about 2 years and have been happy with tires I bought and tire rotations. + Ambiance is typical DT customer lounge...open design and clean with several service staff behind the registers. There are several sitting areas strewn about with 2 customer entrances and 1 staff access to their garage. They have hand sanitizers and practice social distancing. Clean, professional and friendly vibe. +++ Services I acquired here were replacement of 4 tires and follow up maintenance. When I shopped around for tires, DT wasn't the lowest. But DT was able to get them in the FASTEST and they matched the lowest price I found elsewhere. Yay! They don't do alignments so I had that done at my dealer. But you can easily get an alignment at a reputable independent garages too. Since then, I've had 2 tire rotations and appointments were super easy to make online. They were on time and got me out of there in less than an hour. Earlier this fall, my car alerted me that my tire pressures were low as that happens when temperature drops. When I checked, one of the four was much lower than others. So I called DT right away and they were closing in 25 minutes. Which meant I couldn't drive anywhere if I didn't get it fixed right away. Luckily, Garret was very accommodating to fit me in! Well, it took me double the time it usually takes to get to DT because of crazy traffic due to the World Series at the Truist Park! Cars were lined up on Spring Road for $200 parking spots. I got to DT, 3 minutes before 6pm and Garret was sooOO nice and personally took care of checking and filling my tires. I was done in 10 minutes! Terrific Service :-). All 4 times I've been, the staff here especially, Garret were professional, friendly and helpful! ++ Price on my tires was middle of several places I shopped but they met the lower price at a competitor's. Apparently, they often match after they verify it at certain competitors. + Parking is free on both sides of the building This Spring Rd. The good ol' days are completely underrated. I visited this location around 8am with a minor tire issues. I assessed if they could do tire plugs from one of the mechanics and was assured that they can offer this level of service. They had only 1 bay that was opened --- Here is the rest of the story: Woke up to get an a 7am Chiro appointment at Strong Spine & Body with Dr. Dennis in Sandy Springs. I get there and return to my car and the low level air indicate light was on - I was 5 minutes from the Lexus dealership and decided to run it through there since they are the only dealership that touches my vehicle when it comes to service. So I drive up. It's cold about 30 degrees and there is no line - looks like the rush is over. I get into the reception area and explain that there is a loose screw is the center of my tire tread. I was promptly told that they could service me in two hours... I thought to myself "two hours!!!" Man, I could run into Pep Boys, pull up on the side of the building and they can pull the screw and plug the hole in 5 minutes tops." I decided to call Pep Boys on Cobb Parkway near Cumberland Mall but when they answered after the 3rd call the person who answered stated that they were short handed... and they could not see me until the end of the day! In the meantime my tire is hissing and the air is getting lower! What to do, what' to do. Lexus graciously offered me to put more air in my tire and no charge - I filled up and exited the property not sure where to go. As I drove out there was a Discount Tire location right next store - I'm thinking to myself "oh, today is my lucky day! I know they can plug a tire in record time!" I pull up and they have signs around the building guiding there customers to a free air pressure check station (no photos to show). I get there and get in line... I get the feeling that I may need to go inside and ask the questions to the counter sales team inside can I get my tire plugged. Now keep in mind, for those who are not aware what a plug is. A plug is exactly what it sounds like, The tire mechanic will take a moist expandable rubber piece and pull out the screw or nail and plug it up with the expandable rubber. When I explained what I needed from Discount Tire they said that it wold take 1-2 hours. Keep in mind I am looking at a crew of 6 people with only 1 of 6 Bays occupied! Im thinking to myself 1 to 2 hours for a 5 minutes job.... Thats ok!" I drove off. I drove off risking the opportunity to drive with a screw in my right rear tire, to get back to a tire repair center that was raven on a smaller scale... I get within 7 minutes from my home off of Veteran's Memorial and I see on my right hand side "Hernandez Tires" - I could hear the sound of symphonic music playing in the background as I pulled up. This is a 1 bay tire operation but they utilize their real estate and use the property to take care of small jobs like mine (see photo) Hernandez analyzed the situation, highlighted the issue and resolved on the spot all under 8 minutes! The charge was below what I thought it was worth after all my travels so I gave him a $$ tip!
