We brought our Jeep in about a week ago for an oil change. While we were there, we specifically told your team that we were about to leave on a road trip and needed everything double-checked to make sure the vehicle was safe and ready to travel. One week later, we left for that road trip and almost immediately received a low-pressure notification from the vehicle. We turned around, went back home, and found oil all over our driveway. We are now sitting at a Firestone waiting for them to fix a leak at the oil drain plug that was completely ignored by your technicians. Furthermore, the only oil they found in the vehicle seems like old oil that was never changed in the first place. This is completely unacceptable. We did exactly what responsible customers are supposed to do. We brought the vehicle in before a road trip, clearly explained the situation, and trusted your staff to do the job properly. Instead, we are dealing with a potentially serious issue, a ruined travel day, oil on our driveway, and the added time and expense of having another shop inspect your work. You have lost us as customers permanently. I also want to be very clear that I intend to make sure people know exactly what happened at this location. I will be sharing this experience honestly and publicly because I do not believe people should trust a shop that sends a customer out the door after an oil change and "road trip check," only for that customer to find oil leaking all over their driveway a week later. This was careless, unacceptable, and completely destroyed our trust in your business. read more

I went here right before the holiday season and got my oil changed by Jordan. He checked all my lights, brakes and made sure my car system was reset indicating my oil change was complete. It didn't take him long at all despite it being a busy Saturday weekend before Christmas. I've been to this location before and they always do a good job. I highly recommend. read more

He was very attentive and comprehensive, he also noticed the windshield wiper could be updated (and thankfully we found one and he put it on for a very reasonable cost), and was patient with my questions. I've gone here for five year, but never again. Right turn indicator replaced a year ago without difficult. Day before yesterda, they can't replace the left light (and now it's broken). They keep saying "It's broken on the inside.". Their three mechanics are the only ones who have ever touched it. Nothing said about Check Engine or Tire lights. This morning my hood wasn't closed and there was no oil in the pan/engine. I wouldn't recommend and won't be going back. Prior to doing work on my truck, I asked if they knew how to work on 2022-2023 ram Diesel. Now, this is The worst place you can ever go to for an oil change. This is a brand new diesel truck. They have no idea how to swap the oil filter, place in a new one. They required 3-4 techs to try and install it. They used an old Plug underneath that caused my truck to leak oil on the driveway. Had to drive to a new express location for them to drain it and redo the work and place a new drain cap with a gasket. They had mentioned it leaked quite a bit so they had to fill the truck up with more oil. This is a very dangerous thing for my engine especially with my commute and mile range driving per week. I knew the very next day I had to go and get my truck re-serviced the following day, not even 24hrs later. Zero Stars. read more

Having recently moved to Smyrna, I was looking for a reasonably priced, friendly and reliable quick service spot and this location of Express Oil is it! I happened to come during the Covid-19 days, so I called ahead to check on their hours. Tom, who answered, let me know they were business as usual and they would be waiting on me. Crazy thing is, they were actually waiting outside for me, waived me in from South Cobb Drive and all. I pulled in, letting Tom know that I needed a basic oil change and that was it. He was quick to give me the grades of oil, once I let him know which one, he directed me in to the bay. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Tom did not try to upsell me at anytime during my visit, he knew what I wanted, offered just that and provided updates at the end he felt would be useful for me to know. Once inside the bay, I didn't even have to get out of my car, as Tom and the other Tech did their duties from above and below. It legit took them 8 minutes to change my oil, check my systems and lights, and wrap it all up. I am not even joking, 8 minutes. Once the services were done, Tom brought me over the credit card tablet, processed my payment and then printed out my receipt. It was as simple as I have it detailed above. This was easily one of the best quick service experiences I have ever had. Being new in the neighborhood, this will certainly be my go-to spot for all minor maintenance and service for my Explorer. read more

I just received my oil change and as part of the service they check your tires My tires have green caps (which usually means they are filled with nitrogen) and when I purchased my tires that's what they used.Since they tout themselves as "tire engineer's" I assumed that they know that. Or at minimum would ask. When i get home I call to ask- they said no they don't have nitrogen and add a "sorry ma'am" So now I'm at the dealership for an hour and a half and out 40 more dollars So not exactly 10 mins And will definitely not go back read more

I got my alternator replaced last year. The alternator now has malfunction. The warrant states 12000 miles or 12 months. It will be 5 days before the 12 months is up but I have gone 7000 miles over the 12000. They do not want to replace my alternator without me paying for another refurbished one. They manufacturer they use do not sell new alternators only refurbished ones. I was not made aware of this last year. Now because I need my car I have to pay a discounTed price for a refurbished alternator plus labor instead of only paying for labor and tax. They will not check your alternator for free before the 12 months or 12000 miles is up. The charge will be $29.99 each time to check the refurbished (rebuilt) alternator they provide. CustOmer service is bad for someone who ask questions to try to get an understanding. They label you as being difficult. read more

Other fluids were checked, the air filter was pulled and shown to me (no change needed yet) and I was back on my way. Was it ten minutes? Maybe fifteen, but only because they weren't very busy and I kidded with them a bit. Painless! + Price for emissions test was $20 and free donuts! + Service was friendly and easy. Lance was funny! + Parking is a private lot and easy. I'll be back next year if I still have my car. Express Oil Change continues to be my go-to when it comes to oil changes. Now that I've moved to the Smyrna area, this is my local EOC. I visited during my lunch hour on a Friday and there were a couple of cars ahead of me. As soon as I pulled up, a gentleman came over to ask me what services I needed and directed me to pull to the second garage. Within 15 minutes, I was outta there! Just a quick, routine oil change! No upselling, so hassling, just a quick oil change for $40. If I thought I could delay it another day, I'd come on Tuesday for the ladie's discount but literally didn't have any oil on my dipstick so... yeah. $80 for an oil change and they cited that COVID had driven the price up. Then told me that they'd give me $5 off if I couldn't find anywhere else cheaper. My next call was to Midas who told me they'd do it for $50. I have a sneaking suspicion that Express Oil Change gave me the "Female Discount" aka shooting the price up because they thought I wouldn't know any better. Let's work on supporting mechanics or auto workers who don't try to take financial advantage of people that may not know about cars. read more

I discovered this oil change place last year, and loved the way they did business, and how nice they were. I've had two oil changes there and decided to make them my regular oil-change place. Went there yesterday and was told that they can't change the oil on a Miata because it was too small to fit over their bay. Huh? I asked how they had done my last two oil changes (I even had their oil-change sticker stuck on my windshield).The guy said, "Dunno. Sorry. I've only been here a month. I had barely pulled into the front lot (My car was actually still moving) and a young Technician was already running towards my car, waving me down, to ask how he could help. Car still running, I was directed inside, filled out a quick Customer Information Form, was told about the waiting area, I looked around a bit and picked up a Sports Illustrated to browse and before I could thumb through to find a worthy article, I was told I was all done! An Emissions Test is low on the list of auto service/repair needs, but if this experience was any indication of what I could expect from the fellas for any other service needs, I'll DEFINITELY be back to give them another opportunity to excel. Teslas need no oil changes, and almost no maintenance - but they do advise tire rotation every 6k miles. I made an appointment at Express Oil and showed up early with my newish model Y for tire rotation. Joe, a shop manager, was a bit hesitant. Teslas use lots of aluminum parts which can strip easier than steel. And Tesla parts aren't always widely available if there's a problem. Everything Tesla is just a bit different - even the tires have foam inside for sound dampening. So Joe was reluctant. But we talked it through and he agreed to do the rotation - hand tightening the lug nuts to factory specified torque values. Long story short, everything went perfectly. Joe was super careful, yet thorough. He didn't overcharge or aggressively upsell me. The car alarm went off twice, because I forgot to turn off Sentry Mode. Other than that, I can't think of any way the service could have gone better. Thank you Joe! I plan to be back in 6k miles, and I'd recommend this shop to others. read more

He is always informative about prices and not trying to upsell everything when it may not be needed. I just moved into the area and I was looking for a good place to get my oil changed.
