I got a flat tire on a Sunday afternoon. Thought I'd deal with it on Monday, but then I remembered I needed to go pick up my pup from daycare. I went to my usual tire place which was closed, then to another tire place down the street, and they said I'd have to keep my car overnight for the tire replacement. I then called this Tires Plus location and asked if they might be able to replace a tire same-day for me. I got my car to them within fifteen minutes and they had me and my car out the door shortly after. These guys are truly life savers and so polite to boot! So glad I came here to experience the professionalism and friendliness of this location, I would absolutely use them again! read more

I went by yesterday, with a mystery socket stuck on one of my lug nuts and asked the guys there if they knew how to remove it....this thing was STUCK. After a few tries and alot of resilience, the guys got it off!! Ended up having to drill into the broken piece and didn't charge me a thing. It took about 10 minutes total, but that's all they needed to make a great impression. My memory is shit, so I don't remember their names, but if you were one of the guys working on Wednesday, 7/4 around noonish and helped me...thanks again!!!!! read more

I've had nothing but awful experiences with this location of Tires Plus. One of the managers seems mostly focused on sending away business. Nonetheless, early on a Saturday, one of the counter people took my car in for a tire rotation and balance. I left it there with them. I came back at closing time to find they'd done nothing with my car "because the back tires were close to 2mm tread"...something they could have identified that morning,with the pocket depth gauges they all carry around. So I drove it home pissed off, and my son and I rotated the tires in my driveway the next morning, and the car has driven great since. And now; my Son made an appointment last week, and showed up for it this Saturday to get new tires put on his vehicle. They said "we tried to call you yesterday, that we couldn't take it today". Of course his phone has no record of such a call. They made him reschedule for a few days from now. Stay away from these clowns. Some locations of Tires Plus are very good. These guys at Galleria are idiots. read more

Customer service was awful. I got a call saying truck was ready I came in and waited for 10 mins. When I came in a dude was behind the window eating. I waved at him and he gave me a finger to hold on. Then he comes out pissed off because I interrupted his meal. He told me I'm on my lunch but I guess I'll help you. Rude billing me. Didn't explain any thing they did. I left got in my car and my front seat was soaked. Granted it was snowing, but don't they use those plastic seat covers when they get in? If you need to go to tires plus go to the Macarren Blvd or on prater way. I have used this tires plus for several years for tires, alignments, and brakes. Dropped of 2016 truck with 25,000 miles on it, with 60,000 mile tires for alignment(which has been done before), rotation of tires(which has been done before), and oil change. No estimate given when dropped off. Received phone call 1 hour later from Employee "unfortunately we can't rotate your tires due to the wear of both rear tires, you need a new set of new tires" I told them to stop everything and that I'm sure they must be working on commission now and have lost my trust and a long time customer trying to sell something I didn't need. I hope my firm words changes the way these employees perform and hope that nobody that goes there gets scammed. Plus 150$ for an oil change is ridiculous could have got it done down the road for 120$ plus have all fluids topped off. When we picked Up the truck we had to go back in and ask for receipt as it wasn't given to us. I immediately took my truck to les Schwab down the road where they took amazing care of me. There was a small drift to the right front which need to be aligned. One rear tire had a small amount of wear but nothing to be concerned about. Alignment, and rotation completed. They have earned a new customer with three newer vehicles and I have already Made an appointment to get a new set of tires and rims on another vehicle since they earned my trust. Tires plus needs to get there act together, and realize trying to scam someone into a one time buy of 1800.00 prevents you from a life long customer who will spend 10x that. read more

Steve the manager is such an honest and hard working guy. He really cares for your car and time. The staff there are friendly and trustworthy and quick. I've been there many times for random things and they always back up the work they do. I'm always shown when something is in need of fixing instead of the ol "take our word for it" they don't try to upscale or cheat me...this is the only place i take my car! Trust this yelper Steve is the best! Yes this is a "chain" but I've been to other tires plus and have been treated poorly..not impressed or happy but this is the place !!! When they take longer than expected or have to order a part I've always been compensated and or respectfully given an explanation and not just ignored.. Watched us for 30 minutes. Trying to change our tire when all we needed was air. Even though we arrived 15 minutes prior to closing time. Within 15 minutes of trying to change our tire. He allowed a customer to enter. After we were done changing our tire. He walked out of the store and looked at us. Didn't even bother turning off the open sign by the way. read more

I went here In August 2017 to have them do the mounting & install two tires I purchased at Tire Rack. When I came in and was ask what do I need to have done and I told the technician what I needed done and before I even finished he rudely interrupted me and said "I can't do this for you today, the person that does it is out today" Go somewhere else and they might be able to do it for you. Mind you I was leaving town the next day and I had to chase around a tire place that can install and mount my two tires. I was in desperate need of having it done before I left for my road trip so I called the shop on Prater and Pullman and they were able to help me and were much nicer people, very friendly and efficient. They even got my tires done faster than they said it would take, Next time if I have to have anything else done I will drive there again even if it's farther for me. read more

I figure I would share my experience, calling around to try and get 2 tires replaced on my model 3 Tesla cause that damn car eats up tires like I have never seen, I have 35k miles on the car and have replaced all 4 tires once at around 20k miles, yeah the tires said 60,000 miles tires but only got 20,000 out of them, I still had 2 tires from the original set so I decided to just replace the 2 tires that were bald, knowing in about 4-6 months I will need to spend about 1500-2000$ on a full new set of tires, anyway that's my problem I need to deal with cuz I dont pay for gas anymore so I now pay for rubber! Calling around this place quoted me around 80-100 to change out the tires mount balance the whole deal, about half the cost of every other shop I called, I drop off the car and I get a call from the shop floor person explaining to me that he would rather order 2 new tires rather than put these back on my car, the price for 2 tires was a good deal but I didnt think the tires were that bad, so I ask the gentleman to just put the tires I provided on the car, in 2 hours everything was done I picked up my car, total out the door was around 70$ for 2 tires mounted and balanced, pretty good, after getting the car home I looked at the tires again and sure enough the shop was correct, these tires had a big stretch of wear pattern that they should have been replaced, but screw it! I will get a few more miles before I spend 1-2k on tires again!! Other than tires owning a Tesla has been a great experience. read more

My son has been a customer for a few years now. They've done oil changes, rotations, etc. on January 4th at 9:00 am, we called and scheduled an appointment for a front end alignment for his Ram 1500. Talked to the manager and he said that there was an appointment at 10:00 am for January 5th. On the morning of the 5th, with the roads covered with snow & ice, we took his truck to their shop, and we were told that there was no appointment scheduled. They told us that their manager "he never writes anything down when he's scheduling", we worked out that we'd leave it for them to work on it, and dropped it off. They told us "about 2 hours". We drove back home (approximately 35 minutes) and as we pulled in the drive, they called to say that they couldn't do the alignment and we needed to take it to another Tires Plus on Prater Way, and they had set up an appointment with the manager. We went to the Tires Plus on Prater Way (another 35 minutes on icy roads), and were told that they didn't have any appointment and had not heard from the other store. Took my 1992 Ford Aerostar work van into Tires Plus, the check engine light was on. They connected it to the computer, and the diagnostic code revealed that the rear brakes needed service. On one hand, I objected to an $800 brake job, on the other hand, I have never had the brakes done on a Ford Aerostar with more than 350,000 miles on it. Excellent customer service here. Mark and Melissa helped me. They were so patient while I checked with my husband about things, and even when I ran across the street to compare prices. Mark listened to my complaints about how my van was handling and made a tire recommendation based on that. He was knowledgeable about the different tire brands, what made one superior to another and was able to explain it clearly to me. Went in for a oil change and my lifetime alignment (that I purchased a while ago). The oil change was fine and but when I had my alignment done they damaged the hub cap on my tires and they basically told me the reason why it was damage is because it was cheap hub cap. I asked them they're not going to fix it. They said No and that if I don't want to bring it to them I didn't have to and that if I wanted them to align my wheels they can but I they suggested that I take the hub cap off myself. If I buy life time alignment I don't expect that I do part of their work. If I knew how to align my wheels I wouldn't have bought lifetime alignment from them and the manager Steve was rude. So, my Denali was leaking, took it to Tires Plus, they said water pump blew, $500, so that was fine. Next morning, they called me, said radiator is leaking too, need to change, about $1,200 altogether. I said, No, I'm taking it to somebody else. We bought the parts and found out, radiator has no leak. So just for water pump and labor, cost me less than $400. The fact that I'm their business neighbor and I trusted them, I didn't expect them to try and lie and cheat to me, but they did!!! They just lost a good customer!!!! I have been going to this location for years to get oil changes and tires. They always have the vehicle back to me at the time promised at a fair price. Having a Costco and a Home Depot within steps helps pass the time. This week I had a sudden problem with my front brakes and suspension at the worst time. They took the car in first thing in the morning and had it ready that same day, which exceeded my expectations. Questionable service at this location. I made an appointment for Wednesday morning at 9:00 am, the service guy said the schedule was wide open. I arrived at 8:45 am and there wasn't a technician available to start the tire replacement. They didn't get started until 9:45. Why schedule an appointment if they don't have technicians available? I brought in the pricing summary I printed out from their website and brought it with me to make sure I got the correct pricing, when it came time to pay the bill was $150+ more than the pricing summary from the website. I questioned it and they said "Oh it's because the website doesn't include the Roadside Hazard warranty". Well I didn't want it nor did they give me a choice if I wanted it, I had to tell them No I don't want it. Then when I got home I noticed the Tire Pressure sensors were not working so I checked the invoice and they didn't service them however the Pricing summary had this included in the service. This store is terrible at communicating services available and what they do and do not do as described in the Pricing Summary. I would not recommend going here unless you talk to them in detail of what is expected when you purchase $1000+ worth of tires and or service. Terrible experience! read more

This is the only place I will bring my car. I've had three different cars service here. I've gotten new tires, oil changes etc., the guys are friendly and fast and above all HONEST. A mistake was made once (not a big one) and it was taken care of without issue which helps keep my return business. They don't do work without permission and they always have smiles on their faces. 2 bad experiences at this location. The day after my tire rotation, my hub cap was lost otw to work. Common sense and coincidence says the kid didnt secure it hard enough when he was banging out the rotation. Always rude when i even attempt to bring it here. Was told to leave my car all day to remove a nail. I understand they are busy, but Discount Tire gets you in and its free. Last time i was there, one of the mechanics were arguing to the guy writing up the order and was very unprofessional. Will not go back, there are better choices elsewhere in town where they are not rude and put service at the forefront. read more

I used to live fairly close to this location and have recently moved to downtown Reno. I STILL come to this location because of the exceptional service and very friendly staff. Being in other auto repair shops, and being female, I am often treated like I am stupid and am often told things need replaced when they don't. But not at this shop! I originally tried them out when I won a drawing for a free oil change, I loved the customer service I received so I came back to get my drive axels replaced and when they were done, it was still making a clunking sound so I brought it right back and they fixed the problem immediately, the mechanic forgot to tighten a bolt on my brakes. I just came back because I'm having tire and rim issues, my studs snapped off and after my long drive the other day I noticed the problem was worse. I came in today and they pointed out that my rim was cracked and one of my studs was ready to snap, so even though they were super busy they managed to squeeze me in and are replacing my rim and all new studs. I used to go to Les Schwab but after these guys have been on top of it I will be keep coming back. read more

I have taken my vehicles to them since moving to the area and I've never had any issues! I was able to get the same tires that came on my car when I bought it for wat less than anywhere else but the best thing is my cars check engine light has been on for a while. After doing some basic up keep work tires plus called my dealership to ensure my power train warranty was still good and then did research on my make model and year and told me it cost hundreds for them to tear my engine apart only to discover what they believed was a problem covered by my warranty. Took it to the dealership and had it fixed for free. Tires plus could have honestly probably made $1,000 + on me and they did what was in my best interest. read more

I have to say after reading the recent reviews I was skeptical to come in even though I've been comimg here for a few years. I was pleasantly surprised that no one came to me saying anything needed to be fixed other then what I asked for. Not only were they friendly they found a bent rim in the rear causing the shake I was feeling. When I asked how much it was to swap the tire if I found a new rim. This is when I expected a charge. No charge is what I was told! I'm sitting in the waiting room waiting for my tire to be swapped! My job wasn't extensive but I received the same treatment I've received since the change to this store. I love my Suburu and they took good car of it. read more

So let me start by saying this, I am not one to complain, it takes a lot for me to. I bought new tires from tires plus in April or March 2017. It took me a while to notice, but the drivers side back tire only had 3 bolts and lugnuts instead of 4. Called tires plus, they ordered the part and said come in when they open in the morning. Drove down there, only for them to tell me they are too busy. This happened again 3 times. I finally decided to call tires plus corporate. Next day I get a phone call and they are magically not busy. The manager advised he had been short staffed, and I understand that. However, this was their mistake it should have been corrected at once. I gave them three stars because they owned up to the mistake and finally fixed it. They are very nice and friendly, no complaints there. read more
