I'm honestly not even sure this place deserves 2 stars. I went in on 3/17/26 because one of my tires was flat--which was obvious from the start. When I walked in, the person at the front didn't even greet me, so I greeted him first and asked if he could come take a real look at my tire. Instead, he immediately said, "oh yeah your tire is flat, you need a new one," without actually inspecting it. At that point, I assumed they would at least try to plug or repair it. I gave him my keys, and again he insisted I needed a brand new tire. My tires are only about a month old, so that didn't sit right with me, but I went along with it anyway. Of course, they didn't even have the same tire I originally had, but I agreed to get a replacement. After paying over $200, I asked the person ringing me up what was actually wrong with my tire, and he told me, "I don't know, I just got here." At that point, I just wanted my car back and left. I work over an hour away, and while driving to work, about 30 minutes out, the air started rapidly leaking from the "new" tire. I ended up stranded on the side of the road after just spending $200+. The next morning (3/18/26), I went back and explained the situation. I told them I didn't think it was the tire itself and that something might be wrong with the stem. The same employee who claimed he "just got there" the day before suddenly had full knowledge and explained that the stem wasn't tightened properly--and also mentioned that my original tire had a nail in it. They said they fixed the issue and apologized for the inconvenience, but honestly, this entire situation could have been avoided with proper service and attention the first time. Very unprofessional. I had appt but was early and then he made me wait while he answered the phone to help callers while I stood there for about 15 min. Then I asked his name and he yelled at me saying I'm not giving it to you so I asked for the manager and he said, "I am and I'm still not giving you my name. I spoke to this place before I ordered my Run Flat Tire. But, back up I called them because they actually mounted another tire of mine with no issues this time last year. Actually two tires, one I wanted to return but it mysteriously disappeared. But, I let that go. Fast forward, this year I had a tire delivered. Went in to have it mounted the guy, John tells me he doesn't see my tire. Then asks what kind. So how do you not see the tire with my name on it. Ok. Then he goes out to look at the type of tire I have on my car. It's a different brand but same tire. I went through the same company I ordered from last year. He says well BMW says I can't mount the tire. How sway and I got a different tire than my BMW tire at your same company last year. My first time there and it was not a good Experience first off They were going to charge me for Additional add-ons like tire insurance and disposal fee which they did not give me the option to see if I wanted any of that I had to tell them that I did not want the tire disposal and the tire insurance, and the worst was to wake up getting ready to go to work and to see a low tire from a brand new tire that I got from them of course this is on a Sunday so they were close I had to drive to another tire center and pay $25 for a leaking valve stem which the other tire put in water and showed me, which told me they never changed the valve on the tire and all this made me late for work and being a federal police officer This Was really inconvenient. (Update) I went back to the same store the get the leak looked at I told him could he please check the valve stem and the tire pressure Sensor,He He put my car in I took the tire off and proceeded to tell me it was a nail in the tire and that he patched it up he also told me the tire pressure sensor and the valve stem we're OK here it is 1:48 in the morning and I have to be up at 7 o'clock in the morning and I look in the garage same tire is now flat I do not trust no mechanic at the shop especially the guy name Adam they are the worst!!!!!! This is the only mechanic shop that's always booked up every time I call to make an appointment. But they never ask if I would like to make 1. We just moved to area and needed a patch for a tire we bought before we moved. Waited an hour with my small child for them to say it couldn't be patched because the nail was through the tire wall (hour, with an appointment for a tire patch...) Since the tire was under warranty, I decided to just drive it to Richmond since they would replace it for free (tire held air well when driving, but would go flat after it had been sitting). Drive all the way to Richmond where they told me the hole was in the middle of the tread and all I needed was a quick patch... they STRAIGHT. OUT. LIED to get me to buy a new tire. I am used to trying to be up-sold by mechanics, but was not expecting for them to straight lie to me regarding a simple patch. Their quote for all I needed when I left was for nearly $600. 4 tires (1 was brand new and not damaged), alignment, and who knows what else. I scheduled the appointment in the morning using the app for 2pm today for oil change and car care package.. I then called to make sure they had availability and my appointment was good to go. I was told all is set. I got there at 2pm for the appointment and it took 4 1/2 hours for them to do oil change and to perform car care package. The only reason I scheduled the appointment ahead of time was so I don't have to wait so long. The guys at front desk didn't even bother to apologize for such long wait. I do want this business to prosper but I just hope that management do spend sometime training their emoyees and letting them know about the importance of customer service. Also, please make sure that if appointment is made ahead of time then customer shouldn't be made to wait 4 1/2 hours.. Thank you read more

What can I say about this place except thank goodness they exist! I was driving from Baltimore to give a presentation at a library in Saint Mary's county and my check tire pressure light came on. As soon as I got off the highway, what did I see? Tires Plus!!! My suggestion to you is ask for Daniel, the service manager...he's awesome - he not only helped me out in a serious time of need but he did it with a smile, a few jokes, and utter professionalism and I am so grateful I was able to work with him! I ended up buying 4 tires all under warranty for up to 60,000 miles and I qualified for the Tires Plus card which means I have no interest for 6 months donu have time to pay off that chunk in increments! I wish I could give ZERO stars. I was completely taken advantage of. I purchased tires from this location in October. Came in today to get a ROTATION. They gave me a list of things that needed to be replaced in my car, one of which was a battery. (I just had a brand new battery put in the car last year and have had ZERO issues with it). The technicians claimed that my car would not start at all and I needed a battery immediately. As a young woman who is not car savvy, I called in my significant other to inquire more about the need for a battery. When he asked if they tested it, the technician replied "no". (how do you know I need a new battery then?). Because my battery was still under warranty, we drove it to the place where we purchased and had them test it. Well what do you know?! They said my battery was 100% fine. Just to be safe, we took it to another Tire & Battery center for an overall diagnostic. Yet again, they said my car(including battery) was 100% fine. Pleas do NOT allow them to lie and take advantage of you at this location. I am sending emails to corporate office today. Whether it's an incompetent tech, faulty equipment of theirs...or any other excuse they may have, it's not worth the hassle. read more

Went to this shop with no appointment and accommodated me replacing all 4 new tires on my car . I had an appointment with Ntb in Crain highway that day and said to me they couldn't do my tire replacement coz they don't have the equipment coz my tires are small I have an electric BMW I3 . I think it's BS the guy just don't want to do it . So I went to Tire plus and they accommodated me and replaced all 4 tires easily. Jasmine the technician fixed it with no problem! Thanks guys ! This is not an honest business these people tried to steal my money when I just there for alignment. He wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars on parts that were not damaged. Never able to align the car. I finished taking it to another shop, lined up the car perfectly and was told that the car had nothing. Lost of time, this people lost a client. read more

Perhaps I should have read the reviews before going in for my 8A.M. appt on 8/1/2020. I purchased tires from this location a few years ago and it included unlimited rotations. The manager that I had that day was a black gentleman and very friendly and I didn't feel taken advantage of. On this morning, I went in for an 8A.M. appointment and there were two other customers waiting. Adam checked me in and I asked where the other techs were. If you have an 8A.M. appt the next tech shouldn't be arriving at 9A.M. in my opinion. They called me to the desk for an overview of what they suggest. Adam, being the salesperson he is stated I needed my cabin and air filters changed. I told him I absolutely didn't as I just got a new timing belt as well as waterpump, sparkplugs and the entire package done at a Honda dealership. Then he proceeded to say it was recommended for my mileage. I needed him not to be so lazy and at least look at those items. He would have seen that they were clean as a whistle. I did agree to the balancing and alignment just by nature of me just getting everything done at a tire shop and having it on record. It is recommended when you get a tire rotation you get a balance. I just had an alignment at Honda a few months ago and really shouldn't have needed that, but agreed to it. So let's fast forward to me wanting to be checked out before the car was ready as I had somewhere to be at 11A.M. I figured having an 8A.M. appt was good time for a rotation, balance and the sort. I asked Adam how much longer and he said 20 minutes. That would put me at exactly 10:30 to make the hike to Lanham and I knew I would be late for my appt. I sucked it up. While sitting in the waiting room I witnessed Adam sucker/somewhat do a predatory move on a much older white man. The guy came in for a bulb and left with $4500 worth of credit on a credit account. I felt that Adam saw a vulnerable situation and took advantage. If this gentleman was coming in for a $94 service why would you offer him a credit card in return for $20 off? I am sure he didn't even know what he signed up for as he had to ask Adam to come select some things on the screen for him as he couldn't see. For that reason alone I will never do business there again. The kicker was when the tech drove my car around he hardly said much outside of him cursing as he could barely remove himself from my sedan. I then go to get in my car and see all this black grease on my damn mats. I was livid. I screamed to him why he didn't put any type of covering down and he proceeded to correct me and tell me what type of item they put down and snickered off into the establishment. He did ask sarcastically did I want him to clean it off and I exclaimed that I had somewhere to be. I didn't settle for him being a smart ass and called back to the location and Adam answered and I told him the tech was rude and he told me to come back on August 3 to have him clean my mats or the tech. I do not want the tech anywhere near my car again. That's a fact! In this COVID-19 time period they should be more apt to use seat coverings and such. He was just being fat and lazy not to at least put the foot covering inn or have on the proper face covering. That's basic service department 101. I also witnessed another disgruntled customer in a high end luxury vehicle coming in to get copies and some paperwork for an issue he was experiencing. So ask what is the next cheapest set they have only to be told they have ONE TIRE IN STOCK. Took two vehicles here this evening for maintenance. New brakes, rotors, oil change, replaced tire with a screw stuck in it, alignment, topped off coolant, checked fuses (power door locks weren't working)... The staff were very professional and friendly. They took the time to explain and demonstrate issues with both cars. I really appreciate that! The range of work was completed quickly and efficiently. It's never fun to pay the bill on vehicle maintenance that was admittedly put off for too long (my bad), but these guys at Tires Plus made it as painless as possible. Really??? How can we bring our car in for brake service a month ago, pay over $700 and then, after the brakes squeal constantly after the service, you then tell me the squealing is not from the work you did (front brakes) and now it is the back brakes that need to be replaced? It does not seem to matter that the mechanic checked the back brakes when we had the service just a month ago and told me they were fine. How do you explain that they went "bad" the day after service at Tires Plus in Waldorf???! Beats me! Ahhhh... how do you also explain that you missed things in the first inspection of my car that you are now trying to charge another $700 for??? I smell BS. Then you accuse me of not wanting to pay for the work when I brought it in the first time.... I can't!!! As in medicine, I am outta here! I exercise my right to a second opinion. I was told it would take "an hour to 1 1/2 hours... we'll call you as soon as it's done." So, I decide to walk to the Mall rather than sit & wait... Big Mistake!! I walk back in 1 1/2 hours later & my car hasn't even moved!!! When I asked, the manager says, "oh it's the next one up!" Right!! Wow, this is not good customer service. So as I wait another 30+ minutes, I'm thinking a discount should come my way! By, the way they have a sign posted for a "30 minute Oil Change"... I was pleasantly surprised at checkout that the manager made a significant adjustment to the charge for my oil change due to the delay. He also gave me his card & told me to ask for him when I come back & he would ensure I would get in/out quickly. Even though this was not a good experience; I appreciated the manager's efforts to make it right. I will continue to give Tire's Plus a chance. read more

First thing I want to mention is how clean this place was. They have a sizable waiting area with magazines, complimentary coffee and water. I made my appointment online and I received a confirmation email in return. Check in was a breeze, no customer service issues like I have read in other post. The manager (Ms. Bonita) was very easy going and to my surprise, she worked on my truck. I had a brake job done, which was pretty extensive and I was pleased with the work. I had a slight issue with a rotor and Ms. Bonita told me to bring it back, she would make whatever adjustments needed. And that she did without any hassles. I agree with some of the other reviewers, Daniel is an outstanding service manager. Good to talk to, good to work with. I don't have the same feelings about the other employees. My story: I bought 4 new tires for rough riding sub compact vehicle. I got a defective tire. As luck would have it the defective tire was placed on the rear of the vehicle. The tire was not perfectly round and slightly hopped when it rolled. It was noticeable on the back, but blended in with the loud rough ride the vehicle has anyway. When I rotated my tire and put the defective one on the front, the steering wheel shook at highway speeds. I took the vehicle to back to Tires Plus 2 times with the complaint of a shaky steering wheel, and they could not diagnose the problem. I went to another shop and they diagnosed it with in minutes. I went to this place of business because they were opened on Labor Day. Despite the less than impressive reviews I gave them a chance. I thought it is just an oil change and tire rotation any reputable business can do that. Boy was I wrong, when I got my car back I noticed that my tires were not rotated. I asked the guy at the front desk did they rotated my tires. He replied yes. I ask them how side to side or front to back? He replied the latter. I said oh do you see those mud spots on my tires. I ran over a puddle a couple of days ago and both front tires still have mud on them so unless you moved the mud spots, you didn't rotate my tires. He then proceeded to talk to the maintenance guy and then tells me they didn't rotate my tires because they have uneven wear on the front. I said what. He said yeah we didn't want to put the good tires on the front. I told him that my tires are new and I had an alignment a few months ago. He said well we can rotate them if you want. I told him don't worry about it. I caught them in a lie and he kept lying I decided to just leave and forever take my business elsewhere. I spent $40 on an oil change and tire rotation. I really don't know if they even changed my oil. They definitely took it upon themselves to forgo rotating my tires. Avoid this place. read more

On February 12, 2016 I took my truck to Tires Plus on Smallwood Drive in Waldorf for new tires. Along with the tires I also purchased wheel balancing , valve stems and at the manager's insistence , a 4 wheel alignment. All went well until last week when we took the truck ona vacation trip to South Carolina. When we got on to I-95 in Virginia where the posted speed limit is 70 mph the vehicle began vibrating as if the wheels were out of balance. In South Carolina the truck was taken to a Firestone store for wheel balancing. In the database they were able to discern that the vehicle had been at Tires Plus in February for the installation of 4 new tires and the related service. The Technician at the Firestone store found that Tires Plus had never balanced the tires and in fact had not removed all of the original wheel weights that had been installed on the original tires when the truck was manufactured in 2011. But the invoice from Tires Plus clearly indicates that I paid for the wheel balalncing. Emails to Tires Plus received a response that I would be contacted by a manager yet that has failed to materialize . I liken this sort of thing as no different than reaching into my pocket and stealing $48, same effect! read more

I am beyond done! We have been to this place twice. First me, I asked them to listen to the noise on the front drivers tire. Told them my boyfriend rotated it from the back drivers side. It has made a noise since I had the tires put on. I am well under the manufacturers warranty of 40,000 miles. They told me i need brakes and struts! And on the passenger side! That's not what i asked..... The tire in question was never on that side. I know i needed rear brakes, that's not the problem. They also said i have cracks in the tire....no I don't. I ended up leaving with a$2,000 estimate. Unnecessary work. My boyfriend went today to talk to them, he also got told it was cupping... Yes, because it's a bad tire!!!!! That tire was just moved to the front in the beginning of August. They also said, well you bought the cheapest tire. REALLY???? I will NEVER go back there for anything....
