Lots of people showing up before there appointments and they are still checking them in. Everyone is moving quickly and still being friendly! Alex is the service Tech. I see and he's always so friendly. He's always keeping me up to date with my car and repairs. Lets me know what I will probably need for next visit so I can start preparing to save for it, if it's costly. Update as of 06/2026 Alex no longer works here.

Two of the estimated repair costs were TWO separate 200 dollar charges to use the diagnostic tool. Let me clarify that. They wanted 400 dollars in the estimated repair cost JUST to use the diagnostic tool to figure out what's wrong DURING a full and complete 200 dollar inspection that's supposed to tell me what's wrong with my car. I will never ever go to a dealership again for as long as I live. when I went to pick up my car they just gave me a few pieces of paper stapled together with generic vague short details about what could be fixed on the car with a 7,000 dollar estimate. At no time did an "expert" explain to me anything about the process or repair cost breakdown. They really live up the the dealership stereotype. Stealership

I had decided to buy a new one and found what I liked at AutoNation Toyota in Tempe. I got preapproved through my bank for the financing prior to making an appointment. I first worked with Olivia "Liv" Quiroz, she assisted me in putting a hold on the car I wanted. I was in and out within about 20-30 minutes. A week later the car had arrived, Austin Foster, and Nick Herberger helped me seal the deal on my 2026 Toyota Corolla. They were all amazing, friendly, and professional. Everyone at the dealership greeted me with smiles, I felt very welcomed and comfortable my entire visit. I was in and out in less than 2.5 hours this week. Anyone buying a car knows that it takes hours to select, test drive, apply for financing and sign all the documents. From the hold, to the test drive, to the financing, all went very smoothly. I would highly recommend checking out AutoNation when you are ready for your new car!

I want to start by saying that my service advisor, Jeff, was great throughout this process. I have…read moreno complaints about him personally. My frustration is with AutoNation Toyota Tempe's overall service process, which felt incredibly inefficient and poorly coordinated from beginning to end. My first issue was the appointment system. I scheduled an appointment several days in advance for a specific time to have my AC blower motor looked at. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment, I was told it would be approximately 5-6 HOURS before anyone could even look at my vehicle. At that point, what exactly is the purpose of making an appointment? I ended up having to get my own Uber home because I obviously wasn't going to sit at the dealership for 6+ hours. I'm glad I did, because later that evening I received a text asking if they could keep my vehicle overnight because they STILL had not gotten to it and wouldn't be able to until the following morning. What made this even more frustrating was that when I dropped the vehicle off, I had already explained that the issue was the AC blower motor. Nearly 24 hours later, the diagnosis was essentially confirmation of exactly what I had already told them: the blower motor needed to be replaced. Then came the warranty process. I purchased an extended warranty that cost me roughly $7,000, so the repair had to go through the warranty claim process before parts could be ordered and a rental could be arranged. After waiting several more days, I was finally told the parts had arrived, my rental was set up, and I could bring the car back for the repair. This is where another major issue became obvious: the service department and the cashier/rental desk seem to have almost no communication with each other. When I dropped my car off, I was specifically told my rental was already arranged and that I simply needed to go inside and speak with the rental desk. I walked in, explained that I was there to pick up my rental, and both employees looked confused and initially asked if I was trying to PURCHASE a rental. I explained that no, it was supposed to be covered through my warranty. They then had to ask who my service advisor was and had me sit down while they figured out what was going on. Eventually, I was told their rental selection was extremely limited and that basically my only option was a single-cab Tacoma. Not the end of the world, but after everything else, it was another annoyance. Then I came back to pick up my repaired vehicle and return the rental. Once again, I was told beforehand that "all I needed to do" was go to the cashier/rental desk. I did exactly that, told them I was returning my rental, and once again was met with confused looks and told I needed to go speak with my service advisor to figure out what I was supposed to do next. And to top the entire experience off, I found out I still owed a $100 deductible for the repair despite having purchased a warranty that cost me around $7,000. Again, Jeff was great and did what he could to help me, so this review is not directed at him. But the overall system at AutoNation Toyota Tempe seems unnecessarily disorganized. Appointments apparently don't mean your vehicle will actually be looked at anywhere near your appointment time, communication between departments is poor, and I spent far more time waiting and going back and forth than should have been necessary for a relatively straightforward repair. For a dealership this large, I expected a much more organized and efficient service experience.
