Urgent! Someone call Restaurant Impossible to put Tito's on life support. So sad... this place used to be pretty good for fake Mexican food. It has lowered its standards and is now the McDonalds of Mexican cuisine. First the service tanked, employees that can't even place your entire take-out order in the bag (happens OFTEN). Now the food portions (noticeably skimpy compared to former portions) and worse yet, the food quality is not what it used to be. You'll be better off driving to Mexico for a decent meal. Maybe Tito's is under new management and they're gutting the business for profits? Hard to imagine that anyone that knows how to manage a restaurant would knowingly cheap out on the food portions and quality. read more

Really fresh, simple food. Everything is made to order. You may wait a few minutes more than other places but the food is served hot. Your burrito is filled with good things not just rice. I like to get the burrito bowl (naked.) it is more than enough food. You won't go hungry. read more

Store front caught my eye while driving by looking for somewhere to eat. So glad I did. First off the surf shop like decor is great, and old surf videos paying told me I was in the right place.. 2nd. The salsa bar offers 3 flavors of salsa, pickled jalepenos, cut limes and pico de gallo. I enjoyed some tacos, best of the bunch being the Shark Taco (grilled swordfish not shark) served in hard shell wrapped in a soft tortilla. We first discovered Tito's in Morristown. At first we were totally unimpressed with the place. We thought it was expensive and excruciatingly bland. Then we discovered that you could customize nearly everything. Now the menu board is just a jumping off point. We take stuff we don't like out; we add other stuff in; we change the type of tortilla, etc. etc. They don't seem to mind a bit. What's more, they even get it right most of the time! Since we figured that out, Tito's has become a favorite stop not all that far from the Short Hills Mall, and in the evenings there's even plenty of parking on street. This location is smaller than the one in Morristown. There are something like four 2-person high-top tables and one 4-5 person counter. The line for ordering sometimes wraps in and among the tiny dining area. If it's nice outside and you don't mind minor traffic noise, there is also a bench on the sidewalk. read more

Very pleased with my meal. I had the San Quentin Burrito with a side of rice and beans and sweet plantains. Too much food but wanted to sample the bill of fare. The place is small and maybe better to take out as there are not many tables. The main question is will I go again.... Yes with out a doubt. May do chicken because the beef was a bit greasy. The Sweet plantains where extra sweet because of the sugar icing placed on top. Might ask for no icing. Rice and beans where ok as is and enjoyed the option is salsas. Very small, kid friendly place. I had The Bird burrito and it was pretty good. Place was very busy on a Friday night, encouraging. (Did I mention that it was very busy?) The overhead menu is a tad bit small to read when in a hurry. The t-shirts for sale are pretty cool. All in all, a very cool place to have a basic, good burrito. read more

Very disappointed. After all the positive reviews about Titos fish tacos, i was very excited to try them. Unfortunately, their fish tacos are a bland mix of ill conceived ingredients. The fish was dry and flavorless, as was the cabbage. The soft taco shell was thick, heavy and oily. And the sauce was on the sour side. Anyone who thinks these fish tacos are good obviously has never had a good fish taco. The corn chips and french fries are decent and all thier sauces are very good. There is a free condiment bar which is great, especially the fresh lime wedges. I might come back to try a different taco or burrito but i'm in no hurry. read more

I came here for the first time today. I really liked it. I'm a picky eater and the burrito I had (chopped beef) was great. You get chips, which are really good, fixins, and one of my favorites, fountain soda. I look forward to trying more things. I went with people from work and they tried the boneless wings, I was told by two very heavy people that the wings were not that good. This is not a place to go for wings. I still want to try them for myself though. Food tasted fresh and it fills you up. I ate my burrito in two sittings. I can't see this as too small. it must have weighed 4 pounds. The service was considerably fast, we ordered for 3, the cashier didn't look like she liked her job much. I was happy to be there for the first time and some suggestions, or personality would have been nice. It's not the cheapest food, between three of us, one ordered a fountain soda three burrito's and boneless wings for under 30$ I don't care if it was 50$ this was some good stuff we had today. Excellent taco's, quesadillas, and wings! Burritos are okay but my least favorite thing to get here. Fish tacos are excellent and probably the best item on the menu. The ground beef quesadilla is also quite good and flavorful. Finally, buffalo wings are pretty legit. They simply fry up the wings and drench it in sauce. I've been here about 10-20 times at this point as it's local to my office for work. I only get the burritos, on average the food is solid and always better than chipotle. Had most of their burritos and the free chips and salsa are always a nice touch. Complaints, the store is too small, the chips are usually more soggy then crisp (too much oil), and they don't have real hot salsa. The hot is mild at best. Some banging spicyyyyyyyy hot sauce would be most welcomed. Overall it's a great place to grab an inexpensive tasty burrito. read more

Mac Daddy Burrito: Steak, beans, rice, cheese, sour cream and guac. The tortilla was nice and thick and the steak was well seasoned, although I would have preferred a bit more flavor from the rice and beans. Beef Empanadas: Sorry Tito, but these were pretty dismal. They were fairly greasy, and the beef filling was too concentrated and salty. Im a big fan of traditional empanadas that use a pie crust dough. These, however, were made with a puff pastry dough that held onto the oil a bit too much. The side of the chipotle aioli was really good. Chips: As with most tex-mex restaurants, they were too thin and under seasoned. Price: For two people, expect to pay around $30. It sounds expensive, but when you break it down its slightly less than chipotle. The Mac Daddy burrito (comes with chips and the salsa bar) was $9.75. If I were to have recreated the mac-daddy burrito at Chipolte, the total would have come to $9.83, and that is without chips. Service: I think Tito's is going for that artisanal/beachy taco shack/foodtruck vibe, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. In order to set themselves apart from the big names like Chipotle and Qudoba, they need to hire staff that can sell the vision of the company, instead of people that simply take your order and call out your number. The ambiance and decor is very upbeat, but that staff isn't very personable which is a definite buzz-kill. read more

I had the chop chop salad with grilled steak and it was delicious! I topped it with tomatillo salsa from the salsa bar and loved it. So, I didn't bother with the salad dressing that came with it-I think mango something or other. That was tasty too. The tacos are served in a hard shelled wrapped in a tortilla. Got two thumbs up from my daughter. There are about 15 seats, mostly bar stools. It's a small place, but completely comfortable. There were 5 of us and we made it work. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed the salsa bar, but I wasn't terribly impressed by the place. If you live in Summit, it's not bad, but it certainly is not a destination to go out of your way. The prices are fair, and the tacos and burritos are good enough. I only had tacos here, and they were not memorable. I like that there are daily specials, which makes it fun. There isn't a lot of seating, but it seems that a lot of people take their goods to go anyway, so I wouldn't worry about eating in. read more

I come here often- almost once a week. I typically order the Ron Burgundy Tacos, which I love- at least I love the concept... these tacos are a total hit or miss. Sometimes the steak inside is tender and juicy, other times it is so tough you can hardly chew it. Despite this minor setback, I love this place. The staff is friendly and always hard working. I have never once received an incorrect order. The restaurant itself is small, especially in the wintertime when outdoor seating is unavailable. So, I recommend take out unless you are with a small group. read more

Stopped in here last night with my wife and it was very very very good. We both wanted something different last night and Tito's fit the bill. We were tired of burgers, and tired of normal stuff so we stopped in. We were VERY surprised how good the food was. We ordered a Bird burrito and an order of wings. Everything was clean, fresh and downright good. The burrito was nice and fat and prepared nicely with fresh ingredients. The Wings we had requested them well done and crunchy and they were PERFECTLY done and prepared. The sauce was a BBQ type sauce which was good. We will definitely go back here and check it out again. I can never go wrong with this place. Everything I order is just beyond what my tastebuds imagine. The wings are the right amount of crisp, with the right amount of sauce. I first tried Tito's Burritos at a staff meeting. And I must say that it was the best staff meeting ever! It has some of the best tex mex food I've had in Jersey. Coming from the west coast where the Mexican food is authentic, I'm picky about my Mexican food. But this is very yummy. The salsa bar is great, and it's has a neat vibe to it. My husband and I love this place - it's our "go-to" when we're craving quick Mexican. I almost always get the fish tacos which are fresh and delicious - I can't get enough of the cilantro-lime sauce. Yesterday I decided to try the nachos... oh how I love nachos... I felt adventurous and had them with shrimp - this was easily one of the BEST plates of nachos I have ever had!! These shrimp were meaty and delicious, not like those tiny little "translucent" shrimp you tend to get when the price is low, and they were piled on those chips!! I asked for my beloved cilantro-lime sauce on the side and drizzled that on the chips, it made for an even more amazing experience.
