Those are the type of people who when driving with family, miss an exit and act like the world is ending rather than cherishing the extra time they have with the ones they love. My wife & I have eaten here several times over the past year or so & have always found the food & service to be ok. (not great but not bad) Yesterday 12/22/2013 we decided to take our daughter & her children (our grandkids) out for a pre-holiday lunch get together (there were a total of 6 of us) We planed this outing for 1:30/2pm hoping to avoid a lunch crowd. Our plan worked out, there were only 4 other customers in the restaurant. OK , now for the review. Our waiter was AWSOME! While taking our drink order, he gave my grandson a mini Spanish lesson ,when the food arrived ,he refilled our drinks & made sure that we had everything we needed. He pretty much provided top notch service. Now as I said ,we planned this outside of a busy time of day.But,as most of us know a lot of the time, the off peek hours at most restaurants usually guarantees poor service.(kitchen & wait staff cleaning up from busy period getting ready for the next, or the changing of a shift , or just loud employees goofing off in some corner while ignoring you . I think we have all experienced these examples) Thankfully this was not our experience. (By the way, since we all ordered from the lunch menu the total bill was only 48.68) I think this may become a Christmas tradition . read more

The service is outstanding, and the food is exceptionally good! We have been there several times, and the waiters and waitresses are extremely efficient and attentive. Our coffee cups never go empty, nor our hot tortilla chips and salsa! My husband likes the hot salsa, which you can get upon request. Their portions are HUGE, and it's all good! I like their ribeye steak dinners and combinations with shrimp. The ribeye and steak are cooked perfect and very tasty. They do not over season. They have such a big variety, it makes you want to try something different. Shame we don't drink - the margaritas look really good! Get there early - the word is out and they get packed! But they have a lot of help so you always get great service! I hope they do really well, so that they can move into a bigger buiding perhaps, but I hope they stay in Portage Lakes, as we are sorely lacking good restaurants in this area. This is my new favorite place for dinner. We go there nearly every Friday. The service is wonderful, the food is great and we always have to take some of our meal home because we can't eat all of it. I have had quite a few different types of items from the menu and some specials and I am impressed each time. The flavored margaritas are good too! Definitely give it a try! read more

Titos has excellent food and service. Their one and only short coming is that they bought the menu from El Rincon for a fee, and they prepare it nearly as well, but their portions are considerably smaller. Like El Rincon Lite....same food, smaller portions, same price. read more

Chips and salsa were quickly brought to the table; both were ok the chips were fresh and the salsa was thick and mild, I did add some hot sauce to spice it up. My lunch came out very quickly, the plate was pretty and the food was nicely fresh and hot. The Chile Relleno was interesting, with no batter and a very mild chili pepper. The Salsa Verde on top was bright and vibrant. The beans and salsa were both good with mild flavors and nice texture. Overall the food was good, although the flavors were a bit muted for my taste. Agavero is a nice place to grab some solid Mexican food, but I did find the food to be a bit tame. Prices are good and the service was great, but I am always looking for bright and exciting flavors.

Chips, salsa and coleslaw quickly appeared on the table. The chips were ok, the salsa was very bland and one not even after adding hot sauce. The coleslaw was what you expect and adds a nice contrast to spicy food. Since I had a certificate for $30 I was planning on getting a lunch and an entree to go for the next day. I ordered the Lunch Chili Relleno and the Camarones a la Mama Goya. My server returned shortly to let me know that the Chili Relleno was not available; a real disappointment since this is one of my favorites and its a great way to judge a Mexican restaurant. After reviewing the menu I picked the #3 Vegetarian Combo. The combo came out looking very good mainly due to the colorful bean tostada, but I quickly realized that the combo was missing the bean burrito, after talking to my server they brought it out on a separate plate. The vegetarian combo of bean burrito, bean tostada and cheese enchilada was mediocre at best; the beans were very soupy without a lot of flavor, the burrito was very plain, just beans in a tortilla topped with cheese sauce, the enchilada had a decent sauce but not much cheese and the tostada at least had some lettuce, tomato and guacamole to add some interest. Overall not very interesting or exciting. I do give Coyote's credit in that they did a nice job of doing the to go order, everything was nicely packed separately, they included chips and salsa and a cup of the coleslaw. The Camarones a la Mama Goya are shrimp with zucchini, squash, onions and tomatoes well cooked and pretty tasty. The beans and rice were ok, the to go beans were actually thicker and worked well as part of the meal. The shrimp meal was pretty good and the portion was good enough to make two meals. I was looking forward to trying Coyote's, the lunch was disappointing and the to go shrimp was OK, overall the rating is about 2 1/2, just alright but nothing special. Of course you may have a much different experience. Not the type of place for you if you are looking for anything cutting edge or for big flavors.
