Upon being seated we were immediately brought chips and salsa. I asked for some queso dip to go with the chips as well. The salsa was pretty ordinary but the queso dip was very delicious. Having not dined here before I asked the server for suggestions. He recommended Molcajete which I enjoyed. It is steak, chicken, shrimp and vegetables and cheese served in a mortar which appears to be made of volcanic rock. The liquid in the mortar was boiling when I received it and continued to boil throughout most of my meal. The dish is accompanied with rice and beans, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole salad. It is served with warm flour tortillas. It's a whole lot of food for $14. My wife and my mother both ordered El Campesino Fajitas which is beef, chicken and shrimp cooked with onions and bell peppers. It was accompanied with all the same items as my Molcajete. My father ordered the Quesadilla Supreme. It's a huge flour tortilla grilled and stuffed with cheese, mushrooms, chopped beef, onions and vegetables. It was accompanied by rice, lettuce, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. Everyone enjoyed their food. The portions are huge so we all had enough left over for another meal the next day. Prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed my entree but to be honest I found it to be a little bland. My wife felt the same about hers.
