Completely rebuilt from the ground up.

Arny does the best work I have ever seen in my entire life. I have worked on cars and flipped them for over a decade Accordingly, I have seen work but not close to the quality. Forget about the fact that I'm saving money by going to Mexico. The work at the shop is truly phenomenal. He went so far and above to help me that I don't even know what to say. Honestly I've had such bad experiences with business lately and seeing the other side restores my faith in humanity. The profits for the car are going to charity and he did even more than asked. ***Completely fluent in English and a US number***

I took a 1972 Mercedes 250c that was my father's to Arny for a partial restoration, being that the car had more sentimental value than collector value I decided to check out Arny's shop. I made a trip down just to be sure to look at some of his work. We agreed on a price and I sent a deposit and shipped my car down to San Diego in May 2019. I was quoted 3.5 month for paint, interior, and suspension. I finally got the car back January 2021. In the beginning they were VERY responsive getting the suspension work done pretty quickly upon arrival but soon the excuses started. He needed extra for this or that, a 6 months delay for subpar paint, pricing changes increased the total by 25%, parts I shipped to him went missing, parts requests at the last minute. I was even charged for a tuneup even though the brand new oil filter was still in the trunk of the car unused. There was a lack off attention to detail, the bumpers were removed for paint, the rusty brackets where just put back on, my car needed A/C work so I actually tried to find a shop to do the work and drove the car in Tijuana myself. Arny shows up at my hotel, the car is freshly painted but wait, why is the new paint full of knicks, chips, and scuffs? Why is the trim not sitting flush to the body? Hmmm theres a patch of rust on the bumper too. Why is the glue for the windshield all over the place? The newly recovered seat has oil on it, and the rear seat is ripped. And it drives like crap, stalling at every light (ran fine before I left it with Arny). Now suddenly there are a slew of things "he doesn't work on" like carburetors, air conditioners, etc, which is a complete 180 from when I first gave him the car. Paid $250 to rechrome a bumper, go down for a visit and its RUSTY, hmm looks like the SAME bumper to me? At the 11th hour suddenly he needs parts for the seats, another $500 for a seat. Fast forward to January 2021, at this point I just want to be done with this whole situation. So I head back to Mexico to pick up my car, and he says, 'I put gas in it.' An obviously LIE since the gas gauge says EMPTY. I pull into a gas station and the attendant fills the car up - CAR WON'T START! I message Arny, and get NO RESPONSE! Later he comes up with some BS about 'not having service' and saying that the battery was swapped out because mine was bad - SPOILER ALERT, that battery was installed a month before I shipped the car down (another LIE). I get the car started and head out, but it won't go more than 40mph without sputtering. Luckily on the numerous trips I took to TJ to bring parts and check on the car, I met a friend who was able to help me get a jump, find a shop to fix the shoddy work, and give me regular updates on their progress. In addition to sourcing a mechanic for the new mechanical issues I have as a result of TJ Baja Custom's incompetence. The new shop basically says the paint is trash and needs to be redone and the rust repair Arny touted was limited to the trunk and other rusty areas were simply painted over. And it looks like the spare seat I bought wasn't returned with the car. Oh and the driver's seat ripped (again) TLDR; Stay the F*CK away from this place, Arny is a lying ass liar, and he'll say what ever he needs to get your business and money and then not give a sh*t once he has you over a barrel. PS: If you're looking for a BETTER shop and someone HONEST to deal with, let me know. I happy to help out my fellow auto enthusiasts!

This is one of numerous problems I had after having TJ Baja customs do my car.

Exceptional Service, Every Single Time…read more I've honestly lost count of how many vehicles I've had done at One of One -- and that alone should tell you everything. Just had my Model X fully PPF'd and tinted, and once again, the results are absolutely flawless. What truly sets them apart (beyond the incredible workmanship) is their customer service. They greet you by name the moment you walk in -- and that kind of personal touch is rare these days. Dawn, Alex, and Andrea are warm, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented, and the install team in the back is simply next level. You can tell everyone here genuinely takes pride in their craft. The PPF application is surgically clean -- edges are perfect, panels line up beautifully, and the finish looks factory (if not better). The tint completely transforms the car, both aesthetically and functionally. Heat rejection is noticeable immediately, and the overall look is sleek, aggressive, and refined. What really separates One of One from everyone else is that they don't just install film -- they deliver craftsmanship. They use top-tier materials, but more importantly, they take the time to do things right. No shortcuts. No rushed jobs. Just precision. Pricing is more than fair for the quality of work you're getting. In vehicle protection, the real value isn't just the product -- it's the people installing it. If you care about your car and want it done properly the first time, this is the place. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

On my appointment day, all of the staff were very friendly and professional. All of the tinting options were thoroughly explained, making deciding what I wanted easy. I absolutely recommend One of One and will be using them for my vehicle detailing needs going forward.

The original company that did the wrap no longer offers vinyl removal services, and they highly recommended Bella and her team at The Shop Auto Styling. From the initial introduction to the quoting, pricing, communication, and overall attention to detail, The Shop Auto Styling has everything dialed in. The team was extremely professional, hardworking, efficient, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. I was genuinely blown away by the results. They even did a detail on the interior of the car. The Auto Shop Styling also offers far more services than I originally realized, which was a huge bonus. I truly can't say enough good things about this business. If you're considering any of their services, I highly recommend reaching out. You'll be hard-pressed to find a team that does it better.

Then I took the trolly all the way home to El Cajon. The quote was less than a quarter of the estimate of a collision repair shop up here. Two days later Luis called and said the car was ready for pickup. By the way he uses WhatsApp to communicate. I took a taxi from the border to his shop. The work was impeccable and the car was restored to pristine condition. Only one problem. When I looked in my wallet for the money to pay him the money was not there. I probably dropped it as I was paying the taxi driver. I must say that Luis gets extra credit and high marks for not panicking or berating me. He drove me to the border. I took an Uber to the closest bank, withdrew the money, Ubered back to the border and walked across again. Luis picked me up. Then back to the shop, I paid him and I was on my way. The situation was complicated by the fact that I had taken the fob with me so that they were unable to move my car while I was away. My screwups! The shop is located in the back of an apartment building and is accessed through a narrow tunnel in the middle of that building. If you put the address in Google maps, you can see exactly what that building looks like. There is no sign on the street. Following the route on Google maps it is very easy to get there. They don't take credit cards. Luis' English is OK, but not great. He gets a capital P for patience though. Excellent work going above and beyond that necessitated by the collision at a price less than a quarter of the estimate in San Diego.
