    Combination lo mein

Last night we went to try this Chinese cuisine spot... To start, we ordered the egg drop soup. We asked for a cup, but it was actually pretty big. It was okay not amazing, not bad. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Next beef spring rolls. They were good and tasty, but a little greasy, so I'd also rate those a 3.5. We also ordered the seaweed salad, and unfortunately, this one was not good at all. It didn't taste fresh, it was very oily and wilted. We honestly didn't even eat it. I'd give that one a 1. We also tried the winter roll sushi. It was good and tasted fresh, which I appreciated, but it did lack a little flavor. I'd give it a 3.5 For the main dishes, we had a fried rice combination. The fried rice was pretty bland , overcooked and not tasty, so I'd give it a 2. The lo mein combination, on the other hand, was better. It came with vegetables, shrimp, beef, and chicken. It had a nice smoky flavor with soy sauce and was actually pretty good. That one gets a 4. Lastly, the Chinatown combination, which comes with vegetables, beef, chicken, shrimp, brown sauce, and steamed rice. This was probably my least favorite dish, right after the seaweed salad. The sauce was on the sweet side, the veggies had a frozen flavor. Because of that, I really didn't enjoy this plate. The service was pretty slow. I had to ask different servers for plates, napkins, and chopsticks. The place is small, so I'm not sure if they're new or still getting organized, but the service was definitely not on point. Overall, the place is small, clean, and cozy definitely feels like a neighborhood restaurant. The takeout bags are a cool touch. That said, I'm not sure I would go back. Between the slow service and the food being a bit inconsistent and lacking flavor, it just didn't fully win me over.

TJ Golden Bowl opened not too long ago. We tried to get a little bit of everything - sushi, noodles, dumplings. I have never tried Mu Shu so I opted for that with all meats. It was not bad especially for low carb folks as you don't need to eat it with the pancakes. I enjoyed the Fire Sushi as it was a riceless roll but didn't adhere well so I couldn't pick it up and dip it in the soy sauce. The Green Beans were well seasoned and cooked. I think the Crispy Beef was heavily battered (maybe too much corn starch). The Xaio Long Bao was too heavy as the wrapping was too thick and there weren't much juice inside. The side of Fried Rice was delicious. I really liked the to go bag as it's much fancier than most restaurants acting more like a tote bag opposed to disposable brown bag. Service was pretty good but we can tell people are still undergoing training.

Another fine meal. As others have said, they make meals one at a time and buns and dumplings take awhile. My wife finished her meal before mine even came out

We ordered through DoorDash after a long Friday the 13th, and it was our first time trying them after nonstop raving from family. Sheesh... it was GOLDEN. From the calamari appetizer to the sushi and main dishes, everything was on point. We'll definitely be visiting in person soon. Highly recommended!

Came in today to check this place out, the place is very clean, the servers well let's say they are still learning, a bit slow, and food took a while to come out, had the Hunan beef, with hot and sour soup, the soup was very delicious, and had nice pieces of protein and veggies, and nice touch of tofu, it tasted very good but diffrent, I was surprised they did not have hot mustard, place is clean a date looks very nice, food is ok

Was checking for new places in the area and was excited to see that a new Chinese restaurant had opened up last week. Restaurant decor is beautiful and modern. Very pretty. Service was okay. They passed my water test but had to flag them down a few times for things like hot oil, check, and to go boxes. Also the server asked us for a side to go along with one of the dishes and that we could get white rice, fried rice or lo mein... without specifying lo mein was an extra charge. Generally still going through learning pains. Food was a bit disappointing for the price and quality. They still need some quality control on their buns. The biggest issue is that we ended up getting raw pork buns accidentally and I didn't notice until I had already taken a bite and swallowed. + Lo mein was great... Just which I knew there was an extra charge compared to the white rice or fried rice. + Singapore noodles with shrimp were good + Green beans were good + Crazy salmon roll was good - Pan fried pork bao had a nice crisp on the bottom but was raw inside... Unfortunately only realized after the first bite. They apologized and remade it but frankly even the ones after could've still been steamed for another few minutes. - Xiao long bao was like the pan fried pork bao, just steamed instead. Not the thin skinned soup dumpling style that we're used to. Frustrating part was I asked the server if it was thin or puffy before just in case but clearly she didn't know. This restaurant definitely has potential, just clearly still going through some learning pains... As is my tummy from that raw meat!

Did not disappoint! I heard great things about their food. I had to try the Sushi sampler which was great. Also had to have another roll just to make sure. My husband had the Moo-goo Gai Pan. He said the best he had in years!!!! Service and staff were friendly and made checked on us frequent. Will be back and try more.

First time randomly trying this place and I loved it! Best local place I've found! Super clean inside as well! Def will be back!

We ordered five different rolls (I wish I could remember all the names!), and every single one tasted incredibly fresh. You can really tell when the quality is there, and this place delivers. The restaurant itself is small but very clean, and the service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We also tried the Cajun edamame the flavor was good, but for me it was a bit too salty. I think going a little lighter on the Cajun seasoning would make it perfect. The server was sweet and attentive and when we checked out we realized the regular rolls are 3 for $10 so we were impressed to have a quality sit down lunch for 4 for under $40 which is not always the case. The restaurant in general was dimly lit and relatively moody. Before I go in depth on what we ordered, here's my verdict and reasoning for the rating: The fish itself seemed like it was of good quality. You may then ask: if that's the case, why the 3 stars Salman? Service. Service was the reason. Our server and the speed at which we were getting our food was pretty lackluster. And our server, simply wasn't on top of stuff. She would disappear for long stretches and wouldn't come back to either check on us or to even take our order in the beginning. For instance, when I started ordering nigiri's, she had to stop me because while she initially thought, she could remember everything, she realized it would be better to write things down. What a fantastic thought. The chefs were very kind, but slow. We wanted to order another escolar nigiri and potentially more items, but refrained from doing so, just because of how long everything else took. Here's all that we ordered: - Hama chili: the yellowtail seemed fresh and was a good indication that the fish would be good. The dish itself wasn't the best hamachiili we've had. - Cherry blossom: rice less roll that was better than expected. Here are the nigiri's we ordered: - Flounder: sweet. Not very chewy - Escolar: buttery, torched but no smoky flavor, good. Top 3. - Hamachi: flat and lacked flavor. Would've liked some more ponzu or spice - Saketoro: slightly fishy. Went down very smooth though - Kinemedai: very fresh. Slightly bitter. - Masunosake: also very flat. We won't order salmon here again. - Otoro: fantastic. Smooth and buttery. Our favorite - Otoro handroll: basic but the fish was spectacular.

Now, don't get me wrong, I was (almost completely) happy, and I did enjoy my meal and the service. The ambiance is very pleasant and quiet, with seating for about 50ish, and our service was excellent while enjoying our meal. The rolls were quite good, freshly made, and very tasty, enough so that we started with three, then ordered two more The $16ish price per person was an excellent value for our money, and made for a great birthday lunch that also included a small salad bar with Miso soup, my favorite. I did order two pieces of tuna sushi. The tuna was the longest and thickest I've ever had, and for $1.50 per piece, they were a great bargin. But perhaps the low price also reflected tuna that, although fresh, was somewhat dry and tasteless, but I also considered that I was getting a bargin and accepted it for what it was.
