This is an excellent local spot to get your sushi roll fix. We've been here a couple of times recently and have left very satisfied. What I also appreciate is that unlike other places, they don't douse your sushi with spicy mayo and all kinds of sauces but rather balance it out very nicely to not overpower the roll. They also have a sneaky good side menu that has some yummy appetizers such as the Vietnamese style egg rolls and wings. The kiddos also have lots of options such as hibachi with rice or noodles and an amazing hot dog that comes in many varieties (adults will be jealous!). The food was just ok. We got our sushi to go. The fish seemed fresh but the rice was not exactly sushi rice. Just seemed like plain rice used with the fish. The packets of soy sauce they gave us were what you get from a Chinese restaurant as well (not exactly something that pair well with sushi imo since to me, not all soy sauce tastes the same). read more

We found this place on Yelp and gave it a try and I am so glad we did! Be aware it's a small space so if it's busy you will be waiting. Also it's BYOB. We started with the stuffed jalapeños with the snow crab and yummm! I'm basic so I got the Frisco roll and my husband got the Amazon roll that had huge chunks of avocado . We had such an amazing experience here!! Our waitress Kate was so friendly and helpful. I ordered a bunch of food and somehow ate it all. I got the cucumber roll, avocado roll, miso soup, and chicken dumplings. Everything tasted great. My friend got salmon sashimi and rice. The picture of the miso looks weird but it just needed to be stirred because there was a lot of seaweed. The sauce that came with the potstickers was sooooo good, and we got served real fresh miso too. It was empty when we came so we got served really fast. I would absolutely come back! read more

The good - sushi is incredible. Sushi rolls, cucumber rolls, salmon wrapped roll, crunchy rice roll. Everything. Can't say enough about how delightful each roll was. Even the classic rolls were devoured by my little ones. The bad - beef noodles were too sweet. Nothing special about the fried rice. Spicy edamame wasn't spicy the first time around so we asked for them to be spicier and they obliged. The ugly - picking up to-go was a mess. Placed the order 20 minutes ahead of time, got to the restaurant on time and they haven't even started the order (only three tables in the restaurant), waited another 30 minutes for completion. They were out of an item and didn't tell me until the order was done and after I paid. Tips: 1. Stick with sushi. 2. Try different sushi that you have never seen/eaten before. 3. Dine in. Frisco Sushi 469 is amazing! I've been going there for years, their sushi is fresh and top-notch. The Pirate Roll is my go-to, so delicious i also really like the tuna tower! Plus, being BYOB and having great service really adds to the experience. Nina is super sweet and is fine with making things custom and adjusting rolls to your liking! It's definitely a 5-star spot , i moved from california so it's great having a good sushi place that is basically as fresh as it is in cali! the spicy edamame is a must try! Love this place the more I come back. Nina & Brandon are my favorite people, always so nice & wanting to know what I've been up to & vice versa. This place will forever be my go to spot when I'm back in TX. I've been traveling a lot this summer so I haven't gone back as often as I used to, but I can tell you this, they are ALWAYS consistent. Consistent with great service. Fresh food. Fresh menu items (check the white board when you walk in for specials) Consistent with cleanliness as well! I really don't wanna do this review, but they deserve it. We've been eating here for years - it's the best hidden gem anywhere in the north DFW for sure, and I'd pit their sushi against sushi I've eaten all over the world any day. Portions are generous, of course super fresh, and flavor combinations are excellent. We ordered the popcorn roll, the wasabi ball appetizer, the tuna crunch roll, the DJ roll and the Texan roll- they were all incredible. I would order them again. First time here after reading all the great reviews. They've got a cute little outdoor seating area in front. Service was prompt and friendly throughout. We started with the spicy edamame, which may have been some of the better and most flavorful edamame ever. My Lone Ranger roll was pretty good, but not sure I loved how the flavors meshed. I'll get something different next time. My rainbow roll was very good. I also ordered the salmon, tuna, and eel sushi. Waitress successfully upsold me to the King salmon and Blue Fin tuna. Not sure I noticed much difference in flavor, so I don't know if the extra charge was worth it, especially for the tuna, which ended up being more than I thought. My daughter enjoyed her Philadelphia roll and something else she ordered with tuna and avocado (can't remember what that one was called). It's a nice menu, and we're looking forward to going back. read more

It was the DJ roll that I was most impressed by in the pictures! And then I realized the whole menu sounded delicious, so... I thought the stuffed jalapeños were cooked super well. With delivery sometimes you lose the integrity of the dish but the breading stuck and the jalapeños weren't too crunchy or too soft, plus the filling is very generous. I really enjoyed each and every roll, especially the fact that they include some herbs on top. Cilantro was a fantastic compliment to all of these rolls, surprisingly. I wasn't too impressed by the volcano roll but there wasn't anything I didn't like here!! I was adamant on trying escolar because I'd read about it "melting in your mouth." I didn't think it was exactly like that but I did love it, even as someone who usually only goes for maki! read more
