I've been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food, but I've had two disappointing experiences within the same week regarding the lunch hours, dinner hours and customer service. Ultimately they don't honor the hours that they post. The posted lunch hours say they close at 2:30 and reopen at 5:00. I arrived at 1:45, and I was told that last call would be in 10 minutes, even though there was still about 45 minutes left before closing. Shortly after, the doors were locked, the curtains were closed, and staff were walking around and staring while customers were still inside eating. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and rushed, as if they wanted customers to leave before the posted closing time. I understand needing time to clean and prepare for dinner service, but if the restaurant's hours say they are open until 2:30, customers should be able to rely on that. The food is good, and I normally like coming here, but the early closing and the way it was handled felt rude and unprofessional. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ESPECIALLY TO A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Please find and go to another sushi spot. I will be on the hunt to find a new place! The Richardson Location is the best location! I may drive all the way over there from now on.

Overall was pretty happy with this sushi for lunch. Tasted pretty good and was quick service. The mis soup was really good. Only not so great thing was the salad dressing was disappointing.

Excellent food and service all around. I wish this place was in my hometown. Every single thing we ate was executed to the highest level, the prices were great for the quality and the service was excellent. I would gladly return.

Consistently good place for sushi. A sexy if not slightly bright interior and well made food. Our server, Noah, did a great job and was knowledgeable of the menu.

They just keep us coming back. An excellent menu, excellent presentation, and excellent flavors. Part of what I like is it's a nice enough place for both formal and informal meals.

Had the chirashi bowl for lunch at Edoko and it was super fresh! Around $25 with tax and tip, and totally worth it. I'm usually picky about tuna, but theirs was hands-down the best I've ever had.

This is my new favorite sushi spot! I had my birthday dinner here with family and everyone loved their food! The service has been great both times I've been and the vibe is great in the restaurant. The sushi is AMAZING & great quality and the risotto dishes are delicious! We will definitely be back. And they have happy hour including food!

We were staying next door at the Sheraton and decided sushi sounded good. We walked into Edoku and were seated right away. The waiter had excellent suggestions for everything. We tried most of his suggestions and were very impressed. The garlic edamame is off menu but definitely takes it to the next level. Service was excellent and food was top notch. We will definitely return!

Have been wanting to try Edoko for a while, as I have tried most sushi restaurants in the area. The hostess was friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server offered us drinks right away. I asked about changing a few things on the menu, and he was not very accommodating. All I really wanted, was a roll wrapped in soy or rice paper instead rice or cucumber. He said they couldn't really do that. I found this odd, as I request this at every sushi restaurant. I added misago to the top of my sushi, but it was missing when I received my order. They were quick to fix the mistake. The restaurant closed at 2:30, as a lot of sushi restaurants and then reopened for dinner. At 1:55 the server asked if we were done ordering and told us it was last call. I've never really had that happen anywhere except a bar, but we stated we were all good. We finished and payed the check before 2:30. I asked where the ladies room was before we left. They had shut all the lights off in the restaurant before 2:30. I'm sorry, but shutting the lights off on your diners is very rude, and I expect better when I'm paying almost $100 for two people at lunch. Won't be dining there again.

First time here. Glad I checked it out. I love their many options of low carb rolls. I tried the "Oops Roll" and it was delicious. The restaurant is bigger than I thought; it's clean and service was great. Will definitely return. They have a private section for large parties, which I'll remember for future get togethers, birthdays, etc.

    Orange surprise!

We can't seem to get enough of the excellent and creative sushi here! When family was in town, of course everyone voted to go to Edoko. And, as usual, the amazing chefs there made it memorable. Not only was the sushi the best anyone had ever had, but the chefs brought a little surprise to the table! I wanted to take home this cute little figure perfectly carved from an orange, holding delicious pieces of fresh orange, but we just enjoyed it there, knowing it wouldn't keep at home. Remarkable, as always! Our guests are always impressed!

So many factors must be considered for a good sushi restaurant to be elevated to an excellent sushi restaurant. Edoko Sushi and Robata in Frisco is that restaurant. It is elegance and refinement in food, service and ambiance. Over the years I have enjoyed a variety of rolls, all prepared with super fresh fish and presented in an artistic and aesthetically pleasing way. The ambiance is inviting and clean. I always sit at the bar where service is attentive and friendly. Ask for Luisa who pours mouthwatering cocktails.

Excellent service, ambiance, and food!…read more The Chef's choice 5 piece sushi had tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and 2 others I had never heard of. The 2 others were the best ones. Sake toro and mendaiko cream udon were fantastic. I had no idea shrimp was in the pasta as we didn't see any. Chicken thigh yakitori was also very good. Very flavorful, but wished they would marinate it in the glaze that just gets brushed on. Salmon roll, tuna roll, and yaki gyoza were fine. Probably wouldn't order them again. Spicy tuna hand roll was good, but eat it quickly so the nori doesn't get soft and chewy. Unagi hand roll was fine, nothing special. Service was great, they quickly cleared empty dishes. My only con is the suggested gratuity at the bottom is calculated with tax included, meaning you're tipping on tax if you just check one. Hell would freeze over before I ever tipped on tax. That should be illegal.

The restaurant in general was dimly lit and relatively moody. Before I go in depth on what we ordered, here's my verdict and reasoning for the rating: The fish itself seemed like it was of good quality. You may then ask: if that's the case, why the 3 stars Salman? Service. Service was the reason. Our server and the speed at which we were getting our food was pretty lackluster. And our server, simply wasn't on top of stuff. She would disappear for long stretches and wouldn't come back to either check on us or to even take our order in the beginning. For instance, when I started ordering nigiri's, she had to stop me because while she initially thought, she could remember everything, she realized it would be better to write things down. What a fantastic thought. The chefs were very kind, but slow. We wanted to order another escolar nigiri and potentially more items, but refrained from doing so, just because of how long everything else took. Here's all that we ordered: - Hama chili: the yellowtail seemed fresh and was a good indication that the fish would be good. The dish itself wasn't the best hamachiili we've had. - Cherry blossom: rice less roll that was better than expected. Here are the nigiri's we ordered: - Flounder: sweet. Not very chewy - Escolar: buttery, torched but no smoky flavor, good. Top 3. - Hamachi: flat and lacked flavor. Would've liked some more ponzu or spice - Saketoro: slightly fishy. Went down very smooth though - Kinemedai: very fresh. Slightly bitter. - Masunosake: also very flat. We won't order salmon here again. - Otoro: fantastic. Smooth and buttery. Our favorite - Otoro handroll: basic but the fish was spectacular.

Crispy chicken thigh with a sweet glaze hit the spot. The truffle fries are probably some of the best I've ever had. They're a thicker fry so the truffle oil really permeates the tender fries. My partner described the Charashi bowl as good, especially for the price. My Katsu Don is where I felt everything fell a little flat. It was overly sweet, the rice underneath tasted a bit stale and like nothing, and the katsu itself was a bit too moist and no longer crispy on the outside. However, I must note that it was an impressive $13, when I feel the usual is more like over $20, for a decent amount.
