Not bad, not bad. I come here frequently when I'm in need for a little retail therapy. With good prices not only can I not complain, my pocket book can't either. I frequently have luck with finding good quality name brand items and on occasion have seen said items in big name and boutique stores around the the city for much more $$$$. If TJ Maxx is saving me money, I am a fan. Also, as a side note, my sister and I went shopping here for my nieces recently. There were SO many cute clothes for kids at this location. I think this is due to the fact that the neighborhood isn't really a kid friendly environment and those families that live in LP probably aren't shopping at TJ Maxx. read more

I had a routine. Trader Joe's for groceries, World Market for anything i couldn't find there and a quick dash into TJ for a bauble or something to freshen up my look. What happened? This used to be a great TJ--well-stocked, logically designed. Now, NOTHING. There are two racks of blouses and one rack of pants & skirts. The previously huge clearance section is tiny now. They have had the same dresses all summer. Speaking of the dress rack why is it over in the junior & plus department? I LOVE accessories and the last time I visited there were two hats and a few of those hideous infinity scarves. The purse section was well-organized but again, mini. Hodge-podge housewares, you get the idea. It looks like they are closing! On the plus side, the store is always clean. The staff does a great job merchandising what they do have. The manager is really nice--welcoming and helpful. Seems like they could really use some support from corporate. You'd think with the traffic here-BBB & Walmart in the same building this place would be stuffed. read more

I went to this store and I could not take how happy I am with my purchase. TJ Maxx is definitely the store where I would go and will not definitely always left empty handed. Why? Because the store has a lot of items and products that for sure catch my interest even if I do not plan on buying it. Every corner and every aisle of the whole store also always have unique finds especially if you are patient and keen on looking for wonderful items like me. Aside from that, going in this store for me is a better option instead of going to some malls because first, the items in here also have good qualities just like items that I could find in a mall and last is that prices in here is so much cheaper and really worth it to buy. Not to mention that the store is overall clean and always organized and has a very easy layout too. This is the worst TJ Maxx in the world. Yes, I said in the world. Usually you can find a few good deals on shoes or home decor items at TJ Maxx stores, but not at this one. Everything in this particular TJ Maxx looks like it's been worn or used about 12 times over and then returned and put back on the shelf. I go to the TJ Maxx off of Fullerton if I'm looking for a deal. For whatever reason, they have much better inventory. read more

I shop TJMaxx for a variety of wants and needs. I was at this store last Thursday to get gifts & supplies supplies for that weekend's graduation events. Until I had returned home, I didn't realize I had lost my wallet In one the stores I'd visited that day. This TJMaxx returned my call to let me know the 'dressing room attendant' found my wallet, and put it their safe for my pickup. I returned to the store, collected my perfectly fine wallet, and went home to find the hairs I'd lost because of my foolishness and to reflect on my experience with their RockStar customer service. lots of hating on this TJMaxx! i live very closeby and find myself wandering around this place aimlessly waaay too often. i'm found some great deals here - especially in dresses, shoes, and housewares. sure it's crazy disorganized and the art selection is horrid. it's like their buyers had a meeting and said "hey there are tons of gay men and early 20s women in this hood, so let's just throw any creepy judy garland or cher posters we can get our hands on, along with any art with cutesy shoes or the word 'fashion' on it in this store and see what happens!" the gay men i know and love have FAR BETTER taste than this...unless they have secret rooms in their apartments full of crappy cheap "art"...hmmm. must find out stat. read more

I stopped in to help my brother choose a gift for his girlfriend's birthday. My brother has Down Sindrome and shopping can be challenging. We went straight to the jewelry counter. The employee there was courteous, patient, and helpful. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. We chose a bracelet and a hair pin, and she was so gracious, helping us put together a nice presentation for the birthday girl. My brother felt good and empowered to make his own choices and give his girlfriend something pretty and sparkly. Thank you for the great experience! read more

They have a lot of great handbags and stuff for your home here. I especially love the linens and home decor items. However like any other store of its kind, it can be hit or miss. I love this location though as compared to the location on State near Washington. The loop location is too insane for me. read more

They have ruined the new location TJM on Clark. Terrible store space planning. It feels like a rummage sale. Aisles are narrow. Clothes are piled on top of other clothes. I like this TJ Maxx. It's large and there's a good selection of stuff. I usually go here for home furnishings rather than clothing. The clothing selection can be a bit thin, but this is probably due to its location and the heavy flow of traffic through the store. I bought a nice wood elephant here. read more

The place is messy and the workers are some-what rude. I don't have luck finding clothing here, but every time I have gone in I came out with a good purse for less. It must be luck because I always get compliments on the purses I buy from here. I have had good luck with Kenneth Cole purses the most. read more

I usually shop at the loop location, where I have found great dresses, shoes, and handbags. I don't really like the new layout of the loop store...it is constantly changing and the same kinds of items are spread out throughout the store...not just one area for skirts, for example. However, I am a dress junkie, and I have gotten some great deals on Max Studio, Adrianna Pappell, Nine West, etc...here. Great knit dresses, wrap dresses, sundresses. Did I mention that I was cheap? I want to spend no more than $40 on a dress, and here I can do just that! Also treasures can be found among the clearance shoes. I coveted a pair of Nine West olive ankle straps for months...$40? This TJ Maxx is very close to my apartment and I needed to do some last minute Christmas shopping so I stopped there. They have a decent selection of different stuff for the small size of the store. The one thing I really liked though was the customer service. I needed gift receipts and the gifts were for more than one person so I needed more than one and the only way they could do it was through separate transactions. The cashier was very patient and offered to ring up 4 different transactions so I can get all the different receipts. I was very appreciative. I will definitely go back to this location. read more

I don't come here often but do like the bargains. I was there 2 weeks ago (mid-June) and bought 11 items for $195 (that includes tax): 5 pairs of shorts, 5 button down shirts, 1 pair of khakis. All good labels (Izod, etc), all marked down more than 50%. This was summerwear bought in the middle of summer, so things were certainly reduced, and I was happy. Many of the complaints made on this site seem somewhat correct but also exaggerated. Are there lots of XXL sizes? Yes, but that seems to be the case with most stores: they usually have plenty of XXL and XXS but not so much in the more popular middle, which is no surprise since these stores sell left-over merchandise. Are the people at the dressy rooms sometimes a bit curt? Yes, but not always. read more

It's always a treat for me to shop at TJ Maxx, my friend and I always say it's a mini vacation spending time shopping together at one of our favorite stores! We came into this location about an hour before close and we're having a great time, finding deals, laughing, spending time just shopping together. The whole mood of the evening was brought down when the shorter haired blonde manager first addressed us, saying "sounds like you girls are having too much fun.." we brushed it off, since we weren't being disruptive and are regular customers at this location. As we continued shopping she kept scoffing and making faces and we were enjoying our night. About 15 minutes before close, we were finishing up our shopping, taking a quick look at the sweaters near the register since I was cold and was going to pick one out before leaving. She very rudely said "we are closed, you need to leave." We still had 15 minutes left before close and were going to check out literally within the next three minutes. We both work in customer service and know how frustrating it is waiting for customers to leave, but we had every intention of being out of the store before close. We just decided to check out and leave. By the time we were out the door, we still had 10 minutes on the clock before close. Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced at any TJ Maxx or Marshall's location. Ruined a perfectly wonderful evening of shopping. read more
