I encountered a very friendly sales lady named Shawna B. at the jewelry department. My friend and I were browsing the necklaces in the glass display and Shawna took note of the zodiac pendants we were looking at and commented on the different colors each sign was. She said it was a shame her respective zodiac sign's necklace wasn't the color of her birthstone. Unfortunately, my sign was unavailable but I took a look at the others. It turns out the old stock they had featured the constellations on the back. Shawna gave detailed information on different types of jewelry and showed us similar styled bracelets based on a black sparkly one I showed interest in. Her consideration and genuine attitude made me feel like an appreciated customer. What's not to love at TJ Maxx & Home Goods? Practically everything is 50% off regular price. I have come here so many times I can't even! Basically my whole family loves coming here, we never come with an intention we are more "just looking" people and end up with a cart full of stuff! Be careful because you'll end up buying way more than you actually need! On this TJ Maxx side there's a variety of bags and shoes, makeup - which I will say needs quite a bit of clean up! I love makeup so I get pretty excited to see what hidden gems I can find for a great price however every time I go, the makeup is all shattered, dirty and just messy. There's no sense of organization it's like they just throw it all and move on to the next thing which sucks. There's a row of children's things in the back and in the center of the store is clothing of all kinds from casual to active wear. (I only buy my yoga pants here because they're so inexpensive but still cute and even name brand!) Sure it takes a while to find a diamond in the rough but once you do it's worth it! Plus the home goods side on the right is filled with awesome pet and home decor. My favorite hidden gems here are the cards! During a security assurance visit, I noticed that many of the security devices attached to products are not functional, and interaction with staff revealed that the senior management are not only aware of this, but encourage the use of such faulty devices as a regular practice. This does not bode well for shrinkage prevention, or for the overall lax attitude towards theft prevention, as senior management should well know. Corrective action is required for this location to be in compliance with corporate directives. read more

What can I say about this particular TJ Maxx compared to where it used to be; it is huge because it's also has home Decour. Out of the Ross and Marshall; TJ Maxx definitely carries a lot of the higher end items at great prices. Anytime you shop here you're going to find things like Otter box for 16 bucks and normally those Iphone cases are like $40 to $50 dollars. You will find brands such Nike shirts normally $30 bucks even at the outlets but they sell here for $10.00 dollars at this store. One of things I love the most is the home Decour department as you can tell they sell practically everything there, did you not see the huge disco ball and that was selling for a $130 dollars and when you think about it that's actually pretty cheap for a big disco ball. Today I went in there to pick up some rugs because they have a much bigger selection compared to the other places I normally go to including their Marshall's at the Fremont Hub and the prices are really good. I love Bed Bath and Beyond but the prices are definitely better here and the quality of the items again is on the higher end. Also if you're looking for brand-name items for your kitchen they have everything from salt and pepper shakers to pans that are brand named like Teflon. As were getting closer to Black Friday this is the store where you can buy almost everything for everyone at a real great price. During the holidays this store stays open fairly late. There is one thing I have to say is that there shoe department is only for ladies I'm not sure why they don't carry men's shoes at TJ Maxx? That has always puzzled me and also the shoe department is actually kind of small compared to Marshall's but everything else, there is a lot of it. Don't forget to sign up for your TJ Maxx/Marshall rewards card and if you don't have it on you can always enter your receipt into the web. T.J. Maxx now offers the opportunity of purchasing from the web and they also host special parties similar to Yelp where they invite you come in and have a chance to buy the items before it is offered during the regular store hours. There is one thing that you do have to watch sometimes Marshall's will carry the same item for a few bucks cheaper then TJ Maxx. I'm unsure as to why it's like that but it has happened to me once before with the dress. For such a big store it is pretty clean and again the customer service there is great because the lines can become really long but they move it really fast and I've never had problems with purchases or returns. :) read more

I used to love this homegoods! Moved out the area and actually started working for this awesome company. Well not all stores are created equal. Today we visited with family and on the way home we decided to stop by to see what goods this store had. For the most part they have a good selection of stuff. It is holiday season so I understand the mess. What I do not understand is the VERY rude and unpleasant employees. For example we waiting in line, about 15 min, normal wait, totally get it, and the employee by the name of Sashi was very rude and had a tone in her voice that was very degrading and made me feel not valued as a customer. Even as a current employee I felt like this and as a normal customer I would have felt even worse. I will follow this with their online survey for customer service. Do yourself a favor and make sure you fill it out as well if you have any bad or good experiences here. From previous reviews looks like customer service here is lacking. read more

Haven't been in awhile but this location has changed. I love their inventory. They always carry quality items and Home Goods is literally next door. Eh..it's nice, clean, and organized which it should be because it's new. Yes, this is the relocated TJ Maxx that used to be across the street from Newpark Mall. I'm so glad they relocated. Not only because it's closer to me now but the old location was..just, old. The Home Goods section is huge. But the clothes, shoes, and intimates section, too little! There's not a lot of selection/variety. I did find a few good pieces though. Grand opening day was packed. But they did a good job at opening up mostly all the registers. That still didn't seize the long line though. Customer service is eh. Went to the fitting room to try on some clothes and the two ladies behind the counter just stared at me and waited until I said something. No greeting or anything. Overall, not bad. I do appreciate how large and expanded this location is compared to other TJ maxx' I've been too.. but the larger it is doesn't necessarily mean there will be better or more variety of choices here. This review has nothing to do with employees, it's just for the smell and the presentation! It was a bit messy and disheveled in certain sections. When I would pick up items to take a look I felt like picking them up from the corners because I just felt like everything was really...dusty? I hate to write a 2 star but I've been to way better tj maxx' I love this chain. The prices are pretty unbeatable for the products you could find here (everyday living, exercise equipment, kitchen/home goods, clothes, etc). This is the only TJ Maxx I've been to where the Home Goods section is separate from the clothing section. I got a bathroom tray, lavender scented wood air freshener & decorative argan oil soap to decorate my bathroom. My bathroom now looks spiffy & fancy thanks to TJ Maxx & their awesome affordable prices. I noticed that the furniture here aren't particularly cheap but they do seem to be great quality so the prices are justified. This is a great place to go for dog toys & goods (leashes, poop bags, beds, bowls, mats) as well as home goods (plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans). read more

Poor Customer Service and Management We left a stroller accidentally at the store one night. We called in the morning and visited in the morning and they could not find it but can check camera recordings. It's been a week that they have not checked the recording and i keep asking them but they can neither do it nor give me a timeline of when it can possibly happen. Christina is a manager there and doesn't know what customer service is. I was shopping for decorative pillows and there was only two in the style that I wanted. One of them had a major flaw. The other one had a stain on it. The stain was small and there was a chance I would've been able to get it off But we wouldn't of known till we got it home and tried to get it off. Went to check out and I asked if they could do anything for us. The lady that was checking us out called Christina over and she proceeded to argue with me that it wasn't a stain. Gave major attitude and walked away. I would of been happy with a dollar off. Ended up not purchasing due to how rude she was. I went on opening day and I must commend the staff on doing an EXCELLENT job cleaning up after all the crazy, excited people. They not only kept the areas clean and neat, they were very professional and polite despite the opening day craziness. I love that they combined Home Goods and TJ Maxx (they are one big store). I am subtracting one star only because they had a small dress selection (trying to find a dress for a wedding I have to attend). But I'm almost positive that it was due to the opening day craziness. I found a beautiful gray purse with studs, one blue top with zipper detail on the back, a leather journal (only $3!!!), over-sized sweater, and over-sized cream colored cardigan for $93!!! This is such a great store with great products. I can't wait to keep coming back here for more! I've been going to this store for years, I have to say that I'm impressed to see that they still are one of the few stores that have followed CDC guidelines due to COVID. Since the reopening of the stores this place keeps watching store occupancy, they have carts ready and sanitized and the cash registers keep cleaning their counters after each customer. I have noticed that the store is also more organized. I was just there today and gotta say congratulations to management and all sales associates. They are doing a great job and specialty during this times is much appreciate it. read more

I've came to this TJ Maxx a couple times and have found some really good deals! The staff is friendly and helpful. The place does get crazy, long lines, crowded store, usually during peak hours on the weekends. At that time I avoid the store. But on all other times its cool! The home goods section is very well organized, extremely well stocked and easy to get what you want. The place is for the most part organized, not too messy even when its busy. Came in to pick out some new luggage and was happy to see a good assortment to choose from. This location isn't exactly the largest but you can find a lot of great stuff still, especially as it is connected to a Homegoods. My gripe with this place though is the wait. When I first got in this monstrous line there were only two people working the registers, & though they eventually increased this to 4, I ended up waiting approximately 40 minutes (my boyfriend left part way to get gas at costco and burgers at in n out & STILL made it back before I had checked out). It's your typical TJ Maxx combined with a Home Goods. Decent selection of items at prices that you'd expect. The store doesn't have the most intuitive layout, and their signs aren't always super obvious or clear, but I feel like that's pretty standard for these types of stores. The staff were pretty helpful in processing a return for me, so bonus points for that. read more

I come in here all the time and each time I wonder how a store can have such slow service. I've come in at least 10x and every single time I've spent a ridiculous amount of time in line. The registers will be lit as if there's a person working at it but that's never the case. The associates are also not helpful or quick to do anything. The TJMaxx side is also a mess all the time. The HomeGoods side is usually pretty tidy. Basically , get ready to waste your time in line...hope you don't need to be anywhere afterwards. read more

My mother-in-law bought my daughter a sweater set from there and they had forgotten to take the alarm tag off. I went there this morning to ask them to take it off and was told I needed a receipt, and was told that they could not take it off without a receipt. Say that is your policy, let's do some critical thinking here.... I was the first person to walk through their doors as soon as they opened and they saw me walk directly to them. How could I possibly have stolen the item for them? What a waste of time and effort for a mistake they made in the first place. Come on now, TJ Maxx, you guys can do better than that. Update: My mother-in-law came back with the item the next day without a receipt and had them take off the alarm tag. My sister and I came here last night to do a little retail therapy and had the worst customer experience ever. As soon as we entered we were not greeted but profiled by an effeminate white male worker who looked to be in his 30's with a bowl haircut. I noticed wherever my sister and I went there was a worker in the aisle adjacent to us pretending to look busy... either by scanning the same item multiple times or aimlessly looking at makeup products while we were going through the makeup section. The entire time my sister and I were just browsing in awe of all the name brand beauty products and home appliances that they sell at our place of work as well, just to give you an idea that we were taking our time! I would pull out my phone occasionally to google the ratings of products to see if they were reputable but never once did anything to make these workers assume we were stealing. While I was browsing through the makeup one of the workers, a heavyset Asian woman, was standing behind me a majority of the time talking on her little earpiece but not really doing anything, only leaving after I left. I was opening the boxes of Anastasia Of Beverly Hills products to make sure they had not been used and because if you have any experience with buying makeup you know the corresponding sticker of the color on the box varies from the actual product so I wanted to make sure I didn't buy anything that I would have to return. My suspicion that these workers thought we were stealing was confirmed when my sister and I were in the cooking wares aisle going through our basket seeing what we wanted to buy or leave and the same white male worker with the bowl cut said very loudly "I'm going to go check the cameras". That p*ssed me off... I thought "check your cameras, you're not going to find anything!" After that happened my sister and I went to check out, and the same heavy set Asian female worker bagged for the woman who checked us out and went through all of our stuff. One of the weird questions they asked was if we wanted them to take the paper [stuffing] out of a bag my sister bought and my sister said "I don't care." And the lady responded "yes, okay" and took it out anyway, which I thought was pushy, I felt like their intentions were to take it out to see if we shoved any product in the bag which we didn't! These workers stalked us the entire time we were there which made the experience more than unpleasant.. judging that a majority of the workers were all old it was very apparent that it was inconceivable that non-white millennials like to browse through home goods stores and spend their hard earned money. Our streetwear probably made us stand out even more but it's unacceptable to profile someone based on their age, race or clothing style. I've worked retail for 10 years, it's very easy to identify when I'm being profiled as a shoplifter... Came to make a return at this location and had a bad experience, the associate who worked at jewelry named Fazane was rude and ignore me and prioritized on tasking of organizing what was already organized. But the associate Sheri was amazing and wonderful she told me the procedures and policies of the company and really took her time with me. Not coming back to this location though. Homegoods - you can find a lot unique stuffs here for your household items, pets, decoration, etc Women clothes/shoes/bag - almost the same as other tjmaxx around the area Mens and kids - alot more than the tjmaxx in santa clara. Customer service - the indian lady at the jewelry stands are very racist, take will take our her telescope to check on a piece of jewelry that cost $15 for about 5 mins. She act like it has some kind of GIA number it. And she only does that to asian, not caucasian. Her coordinator Jennifer is not professional at all. She is very rude and dressing like she just came out of the gym. Please have some class and manners. Most cashiers are very nice though. read more

This TJ Maxx is one of the worse I've visited. Love the fact that it's a Home Goods too but I rarely find anything to my liking. Their beauty section is stocked but i have never found anything worth buying. Actually, I haven't found anything good here in general even though they supposedly get shipment and restock like everyday.... They need to up their game on people opening up their cosmetics and testing it in the store. Like, what?? Other TJs have it security taped, shrink wrapped or in a spider wrap. I went to return a MAC shadow palette that was shrink wrapped when purchased because after opening it, I discovered the flipping thing was touched by someone's nasty fingers!! I forgot my receipt and asked if I could return it... And she asked her manager, maria and told me she can't give me a refund because it is used. I'm sorry, I have never used it. I'm not that kind of Asian who uses it and returns. No no, I believe in karma and I have worked in retail before (beauty and cosmetics, I must add). Do these workers know that people in their store open packages left and right and try their products like it is theirs? And to think that they try to cover it by letting us think it's new by shrink wrapping it?? They in the end gave me store credit... A few days ago, I was at this TJ Maxx/Home Goods location. Aside of the fact that I have a mobility impairment, I needed assistance from a sales person on the floor. "Veronica" was not only gracious, she helped me find a chair to sit down--while she looked for the item I needed. Unfortunately, she was not successful. However, Veronica provided excellent customer service. A few minutes later, I found Manager "Mario" on the floor. I told him I was looking for a specific item and asked for his help in locating this item at another store. He told me to go to up to the counter and he would assist me. I went to the counter and waited for 10-15 minutes. He NEVER SHOWED up. Therefore, I asked "Kimberly" for her help. Kimberly could see that I was in pain and experiencing difficulties standing after a long wait for "Mgr. Mario". She had someone bring me a chair, while she made a couple of calls to neighboring stores. THANK YOU Kimberly for your caring and efficient service! "Manager Mario".. eventually showed up, as I was leaving with other purchases. I let him know I was upset and his Unprofessional, Uncaring attitude. "Manager Mario" seemed totally impervious. As a customer, I am appalled at his behavior and attitude. Among other options, "Manager Mario" should take a class in Sensitivity Training. read more

I love this place whenever I eat any of the nearby restaurants at Pacific Commons. They have so much variety. But anyway, love coming here because family loves to shop here especially for clothes, food, kitchen appliances, shoes or anything that we need and want. They have a big and good array of food items like baking mixes, spice blends, olive oils, nut oils and butters, nutritional supplements and other healthy and organic foodsf( smoothie blends, chia seeds and more), imported chocolates from well-known chocolatiers mostly from UK, Belgium, Italy, France, the United States, and Spain. Biscuits, crackers, wafers and cookies from all parts of the world. They have a huge array of plates, dinnerware, baking ware, good furniture and you may find a piece that you are missing for a dream home or room. I'm just saying because last Christmas, I saw a Boos Baking Table with a wooden leg which is $150 less than MSRP price you will find from any food service and restaurant supply website. It was funny because my brother and I were waiting for our companions to pay for their things, and we sat and came across and talked about the Boos table. It was a deal, but somebody already bought it. But anyway, this is a great store. A bit unorganized in the shoe section but they don't have a great selection of shoes. I would recommend buying the food and kitchen aisle, bedding, comforters, some of your interior design fixtures like lamps, rugs, carpets, some dinnerware, lots of bakeware. Homegoods is a great store in Fremont, but the TJ Maxx is mehhh.... maybe yes or not. It really just depends on the day or the season you come by. They were just getting prepared for Easter today, so yes. Service staff and the managers know what they are doing, and are well trained. A lot of stuff there to buy and browse at HomeGoods. Ok are TJ MAxx. Mind you that both HomeGoods is bigger than TJ Maxx, and joined into one store. Last Christmas, while I was waiting in line to buy my purchases, the general manager( It is a middle aged lady in her 50s) was giving us water bottles, and it was a great idea. Nice idea for waiting and standing to buy gifts. If I knew her name, she was doing a great job keeping this store bustling especially on the weekends and weekdays. All of the staff are trained, and keep themselves busy stocking new items. And the customer service staff are courteous and friendly. read more

"Full on Monet."So disappointed. I was excited because from outside it looks like the place will be well stocked. Completely the opposite. Compared to other TJ Maxx's there was barely any good merchandise. The dresses " section" made me lol. There were maybe 7 different dress styles available. The shoe section was just, sad. Overall, I didn't see any of the new trends in either the clothing or shoe sections. The home goods part was a little better, but does not compare to the Santa Clara location. I'm giving two stars for the really nice people that work there. That's the only really good thing about this place. Oh, and it's clean. But it should be, it's new. read more
