Came here to pick up some items for an upcoming trip. TJ Maxx has inventory that fluctuates so if you see something while shopping, it's wise to get it as it might not be there on a return visit. Clothing, food, toiletries, furniture, luggage, and other items as well line the aisles. The selections are on trend, with name brand items available. The value of the items are good, but you have to do a deep dive going up and down the aisles to search. The service is okay, but I would avoid going on the weekends as those checkout lines are BRUTAL! All in all, this store stays in my rotation, especially when I have the time to peruse the racks in search of a bargain! read more

I really like TJ Maxx. I always start looking in the accessory area. The handbags and travel items are a favorite. The clothing area was okay. The location is well kept and clean. Each store participates in the Simon points program. You can upload your receipts to earn points and coupons. read more

This TJ Maxx turned me into a liar. I'd brought a young coworker there, who'd just gotten his first apartment by himself, to find some cheap starter items one needs for an apartment: flatware, glassware, etc. Lo and behold though, when we arrived, the housewares section was pretty pathetic and what was there was super overpriced. What's nice about this location is that you do not really have to drive to it. With it properly being in a mall, you can do all your shopping in one day. Much like a competitor that is located in the mall as well. Even though it is in a mall, to me the selection here was not all that great. Or maybe it was just a bad day for shopping. I wonder if being in a mall may have limited them in their stock. The store itself felt a little smaller than most I have been to recently. I came in looking for birthday gifts and didn't notice much in the selection front that I was looking for. Heck, if the department stores do not have it, I'm not surprised that this place wouldn't have it either. Wasn't all that much interaction with the employees as they were all busy at the registers. I was having such a great day with my kids and family, we stopped at tjmaxx my favorite store up until yesterday... I at the jewelry section looking at some bracelets and immediately I feel very unwelcomed by the women who was working that section on 8/11/25 . I felt like I couldn't even ask her to see some bracelets because she just had this face like she was just tired of showing off the jewlery . Anyways I pick out 3 bracelets that I completely fell in love with but I only wanted to get two , so I kept pairing them to see which of those 3 would look good in a set of 2 , while I'm doing this my son asks to use the bathroom I ask her and she tells me it's in the back . She sees my grab my child and I leave my other child with my cousin . I go to the bathroom and come back within 5 mins and the bracelets are gone which is fine because obviously they weren't going to be left on the counter but this is where she starts getting nasty and disrespectful. I come back and I'm just looking around and when she finally comes to me I asked for the bracelets and she responds with "well you just left and you didn't say anything so I was about to put them back ." And I was like "yes my son had to use the bathroom you heard it and saw me go" and she replied with "well are you going to get them or not ?" And I replied with "can I see them again" since I wasn't yet convinced with two I like the most . And she replies with " i need to know if you're gunna end up getting them or not" and at that point it felt like she was being very ignorant and rude while rushing me to say yes. Keep in mind she's saying all of this while I'm with my kids as well and one thing I honestly don't appreciate is people acting like that infront of my kids because I don't ever want my kids to grow up thinking it's okay to talk to people like that. Well the whole time she's talking to me she's rolling her eyes and just giving me nasty looks so instead of letting me see the jewelry again I just told you "you know what I'm good thank you" and walked away because I wasn't going to buy something or waste my money on a business who hires people with no respect towards their customers. She proceeded to say things to me as I walked away but I ignored her and let her say what she had to say. I honestly do not feel like I would ever go back to that store because it was such a well organized store with many nice things but unfortunately that employee just didn't fully value what customer service she would give out . I stayed in the store though because my cousin was shopping but I decided I wouldn't get anything from there . Hopefully she gets to read this and understand how important body language and words are when you work at a customer service place, so no one else experiences what I experienced that day . read more

First time shopping at this location. The store was clean and well organized. Though they did not have the item that I wanted in the store, I managed to find a lot of great purchases. They do appear to be a little more expensive than a similar store; however, the beauty products, candles and housewares are typically plentiful. The checkout process was relatively efficient and the service was good. read more

Clean store. Friendly staff. Covid protocols - masks, limited capacity and social distancing enforced. Found some great bargains on sweaters, Ravens gear, accessories and shoes! Plenty items were on clearance. I don't come here often but the few times I have, never had any issues or concerns and typically find nice items. read more

Have you ever been to a TJ MAXX?? This one is ok only because it is smaller than the one I know in NY (from when I lived there). This place is a bit messy to shop in but YOU WILL FIND DEALS. The best thing about this place is that it carries name brands at much less. I think they are the colors that didn't sell in the real department stores. I have bought ralph lauren shirts here, as well as nNike work out clothes. Great place to get some PT/Working out clothing. They also have a great selection of shoes. Not sneakers per say but summer shoes right now. They also have pictures frames, jewelry etc. It's like a mini department store with the feel of a goodwill store, but that carries some decent name brands. Good luck! read more

This TJMaxx is probably the smallest one in my area. The departments are very small and there's not a lot of stuff. Some departments are a bit disorganized but that's probably because there isn't enough staff for each department. The staff are really nice and they helped me when I was looking for somethings. It's a store to visit if you're already in the mall but I wouldn't make a trip to the mall just for this store. read more

I was with my non English speaking mom at the Arundel Mill location yesterday, when my mom pay at register #5, she puts money on the counter instead of cashier's hand because she does not know it can represent disrespect. I apologized to the cashier immediately. She said: you tell your mom this is a bad habit. And then when I reach over for the change, she threw the change on the counter. How ironic that is? Maybe it is personal that this cashier demonstrated this way, but sorry I will not shop at TJMaxx anymore, because it will remind me what I had experienced yesterday. read more

Awful customer service! The check-out process at TJ Maxx, Arundel Mills Mall, Hanover, MD is very unorganized and the girls at the check-out counter are very very rude and bad-mouth at the customers. While checking out, I was called by the check-out girl at counter 1 who directed me to move to counter 6. The girl at counter 6 asked me to move to counter 1. I went to counter 1 but the check-out girl there took some other customer who was not even in the queue/line. I was standing in the middle when this girl at counter 2 called me. I politely told her how the customers don't follow the line. This white caucasian girl shouted at the top of her voice me and said, 'excuse me are you telling that to me?". She even started complaining loudly about me to the check-out girl and her customer at counter 1. I was so humiliated in front of all the other customers there. I felt like returning the stuff back and I probably would have if I hadn't paid for it already. If I were her, I would have probably been apologetic about the process and taken the feedback positively. read more

You want cheap products at a cheap price, then look no further. Basically, you should look at the clearance racks only because it will be so cheap, you won't feel bad that it only lasted a short time. read more

This is a decent TJ Maxx and it is a bit smaller than some others. They have a good selection of products but like any other similar stores, sometimes you can get lucky depending on what they get. They are located by the Burlington Coat Factory. read more

I bought a pair of sunglasses and I went back to return the sunglasses after two days. I was told I can't get a refund because a tag on the sunglasses is not for the actual sunglasses that I purchased. Someone made a mistake and put a wrong tag on the sunglasses that I purchased which the cashier didn't noticed either when I made the purchase. The sunglasses I purchased are actually cheaper than the price on the tag. I talked to the manager who told me that he had to look over the video cameras and told me that he would call me back. Well..he never called so I went to the store again. He said that he couldn't see clearly the item that I purchased since the quality of the video wasn't great. Therefore no refund. No apology so far. Did I put the wrong tag on the item? Is it my fault that the store doesn't have hi-tech video cameras????? I called the store's district manager several times and finally made an appointment to see him at the store after a week or so. I went to the store again and waited for a district manager to show up. Well....he didn't come. The store manager told me that the district manager was busy and he went to a different store instead. No call or email to let me know in advance that he wasn't coming even though I gave my contact information to his secretary. The store manager told me even though there should be no refund, he will give me a refund just this once since the district manager didn't show up. No apology for the time I have wasted or the stress they have caused me . So look at the tags carefully before you make the purchase. read more

It is very clean and neat, but surprisingly it has a lot of empty spaces. Even my 4 year old asked about so much space. It doesn't have enough women clothing. It needs more merhandise, especially to be in a mall. read more
