I note prefer the fit of clothes in the ladies section. I'm glad to report the I bright 3 possibilities to the fitting room, checked in with the attendant with ease, and left with a pair of jeans that I'm EXCITED about. At the one entrance of the mall you will find Burlington. Like in typical Burlington fashion you will also find a mess. I had really high hopes for this spot, but was let down. I was expecting this to be an amazing spot, but I was not impressed. With it being in a mall I expected it to be well put together, bright, and organized. Each of those were not true. Let me explain. Like a lot of Burlington locations out there, this was shrunk their footprint with the fake walls. They had the same set up you would find in a strip mall and the layout was so confusing. You had to zig and zag to make it through the store. One thing I will say, this store did have a lot of employees out on the floor putting out merchandise. Usually that is good, but they were more of a hinderance than a help. Every time I wanted to go down an aisle to browse, I was blocked by a cart or employee of some type. Pushing items onto shelves or pegs. With that, there is absolute no organization on the sales floor. I was looking for something and went to where I thought it would be, however, it was not there, it was an aisle over and pushed back into the shelves hidden behind other items. I like that women's apparel is separated by article (top, dresses, skirts, pants, etc) and size. Prices are comparable to Ross and Marshalls. During my last visit back in May, I got a pretty floral Guess dress that was on clearance. It was perfect for my afternoon tea while in London last month. Unfortunately, today I left empty-handed. This place is a mess. There is loss prevention staff at both exits (mall and street) and it's just not a pleasant experience to shop here. Things are in disarray, and since so many items are just in quantities of 1 or 2, there is no order or arrangement. It's like shopping at a Goodwill. You may find something you like, but it takes a lot of effort. The prices aren't even that cheap, so I don't really favors stores like these. read more

I came in the store an hour before closing, on a mission to find something for a baby that needed clothes. Wasn't greeted and asked did I need anything because they will be closing soon. instead it was "you need to go to the counter because we are closing" I replied "how about you asked me what I'm looking for so I can find it and make my way?" he walked away from me then another guy said the exact line I 'm guessing they're trained to say. I would give this place 2.5 but I can't. The 2 1/2 star is this please get it because I was able to find a Michael Kors jacket for less than $100. However it took me close to about 30 minutes of just rummaging through all of the miss placed clothing throughout the store. I feel like Burlington Coat Factory has so much potential because they have some of everything and something for everyone however the employees seem to be in a position where they cannot be bothered to put things back where they belong or keep their store clean. The worst store in Arundel Mills Mall. The clothing are cheap. The dressing rooms are closed by "Corporate" which is what the Loss Prevention lady at the parking lot side told me. This Loss Prevention employee may be short and small, but she is packing of lot of disrespectful words and she is extremely rude. She shoul be let go if you ask me. There is no reason to talk to customer the way she did me today. If asking the question "Why are the dressing room close." warrants that kind of attitude, I don't need to frequent this establishment any longer. I do not deserve to be spoken in that manner, just for asking a question. Also, they are under staffed and the Store Manager is also very rude. Lots of stuff in the men's section, but I found it not very well organized. Sure, the S-M-L-XL-XXL signs were up but when you're seeing labels at one size mixed in with stuff that's three sizes smaller and two sizes bigger, but they all have the right size on the hangar, it's time to move on. This was a waste. I don't have this sort of time. In the dress shirts and ties area, a little bit better organized. Decent quality and name brands, prices clearly marked. read more

Love this location! I don't mind the drive to Arundel Mills. I always find much more than I'm looking for here and at a great price. From coats, shoes, kids stuff, accessories, and household items. Don't sleep on this place. I used to come to what was then called "Burlington Coat Factory" for coats, but it's so much more than just coats now, hence the name is just Burlington. The lines tend to be very long especially now that we're approaching the holidays, so I'd suggest getting here early when they're open (9:30 I believe but the holiday hours might differ). read more

A friend of mine for 72 years passed away and I wanted to look good at his funeral. I remembered how nice the Burlington store was when it was located over on route 2 south, so I thought I would give them a try. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! In brief, a Salvation Army or a Goodwill store would have been better to go to! The place was a dump, with all kinds of stuff scattered here and there The men's section (they were in 3 different places) were just thrown together with shorts in with suits, shirts in with swimming suits and baby clothes, and a few men's work jeans mixed in with teen and children sized clothes and a few blazers, size 58 to 70 that were about 30 years out of date. I am in town for my uncle's funeral and needed to purchase pants for my son to wear to church. We went to this location of Burlington Coat Factory and found what we needed. I was happy with the clothing selection, but appalled by the customer service. We asked an employee if the front register was open and she rudely said "Uh NOOO" as if we offended her for asking. (I did not catch her name, but she was a Caucasian lady with blonde hair). I don't mind being told a simple "No," but the way she said it was extremely inappropriate and rude, especially as an employee communicating with a customer. I'm an out of town guest traveling from Atlanta where southern hospitality is a norm. So, this experience came as a total shock. I cannot believe Burlington Coat Factory would endorse the behavior of this employee; however, it left me thinking I will not be back to this store and would not recommend it to others. read more

Don't go into this location if you're disabled or have a service dog! They discriminate against people with disabilities and their helper animals. This one "loss prevention" worker named Patrick stopped me with my seizure alert dog, whose always in an enclosed stroller, and said I needed proof that he's a working dog. Legally under The Americans with Disabilities Act no business is allowed to ask for someone to prove their disability. I go into this specific location all the time with my seizure alert dog and all the other "loss prevention" workers all just smile at my dog. I took out my dog's id card anyway but told him that he can't legally ask me for it and kept arguing that he could. When I told him that he's not a cop, he called me a b***h. read more

A few positives: 1. They have cleaned the place up quite a bit since the last time I shopped. 2. There are lights, actual light enough to see the stuff you are madly rooting through like a hoarder with a recent windfall and no one to stop you from filling a cart full of different versions of stuff you already have and certainly don't need more of. 3. The cashiers are efficient and polite. The down side: It's on the side of the mall with the Maryland Live Casino. You might just be run down by someone who; a. I tell you, l have really been sleeping on Burlington's home section. I came to look for an inexpensive table cloth for the holidays and when l strolled on over to the Home section, l was blow away by the variety of items they had. Tablecloths, curtains, candles, bakeware, furniture, pictures, knick-knacks, the list goes on. I swear, l was in the candle section smelling all the wonderful varieties of candles and forced myself to choose only two candles... I'm sorry l cheated on you Bath and Body Works, but l may have found another that can provide for me (candles) what l thought you only could.... The downside to my wonderful shopping experience was that there were only two associates at the register counter with the line steadily growing. On top of that, one of them was processing layaways...WT!... Good thing they called additional associates to man the registers. In spite of that, l found really great deals. At Burlington Coat Factory in Arundel Mills yesterday and one of the cashiers (no name tag) refused to check us out because we asked her to put her mask on. She was wearing it around her neck! She told us she was hot and if we didn't like it we could go to another cashier and proceeded to call another customer. We had asked another associate to let the manager know about the situation (we are currently in the middle of a pandemic) but she seemed to brush the manager off. When we approached the manager, who also was not wearing her name tag, the manager asked if we wanted corporate's number. I have no idea what the store's guidelines are in regards to keeping its customers safe during these times, but apparently mandatory mask wearing is not one of them. read more

Managers walking around not even noticing long slow moving lines , cashiers moving with no sense of urgency where so ever. The incompetent idiot in charge of this store should be fired. I was in the store 28 December at noon and there were 27 people (yes 27) in the line waiting to pay. They had one cash register opened. The cashier continuously called for backup but no one ever responded. I went to this location looking for a topcoat. Their coat section is hidden in the back of the story. There was nobody working in it. The coat sizes listed on the racks were just a general guess as things were out of order and disorganized. Other types of coats were mixed in and coats were spread out. They had coats missing buttons, with lint and human hair all over them. The department was totally disorganized. I wound up going to Jos. A Bank in the same mall to get a much nicer topcoat that was just as cheap on sale. read more

I bought two dress shirts; Michael Kors and Calvin Kline one day and needed to go back to get ties the next day because what I had at home didn't go well. So here's what happened on my second trip back... Thought it was going to be a very in-and-out job. I knew exactly where the ties were and which style and color to get. The wife and I were so confident that I would be in-and-out that she was just going to drop me off and circle around the parking lot a few times and we'd be off. HAHAHA. Spent 2 minutes walking to the tie section and took 1 minute getting 2 ties. Spent 20 minutes in line because the person in front me of had a state issued check. The damn check was made out to her and she wanted to use it to pay for her cart full of items. !?!!?. WOMAN, you gotta cash that check out at the bank first! None of the cashiers knew what to do, not even the lane manager. If this wasn't bad enough, there was vomit three lanes over and it was HORRID. The sour stench of bile filled the air. The cashier at that lane called at least 4 times to have it cleaned up. After a good 10-15 minutes, finally someone came. However, they came with a roll of those cheap brown high school paper towels that absorb as well as cardboard to wipe it up... you ain't got a mop?! Felt really sorry for the guy as he was using his hands and feet, gettin all up in that mess. Finally, I decided to switch lanes because no one was getting anywhere with this lady in front of me and her damn state issued check. Waited in another lane and was greeted by a slow cashier. The customer ahead of me bought shoes. The cashier asked the customer if he wanted his shoe box. What kinda question is this??? The customer had to think about it and I'm sure it caught him off guard. He left the box. The person in front of this customer was asking for a pickup. She yelled over to the other cashiers asking for her items because she switched lanes. Fine. She gets them and starts putting them on her chest, like she's trying them on. She does this for every damn item, which in turn, held up the line. The stench of puke still lingers. I hate this place. read more

So, Burlington Coat Factory. This location is just as bad as the Eastpoint Mall version, if not worse. If you want to try things on, bring a book for the dressing room line, because you'll need it. Screaming kids abound, so make sure you bring headache medicine,as well. The upside? They do have some nice things for not much money, especially professional-type suits. Lots of variety. If you're just starting out in a dressy type job and don't have the cash to blow on 300 dollar business suits, start here. Staff is useless. Don't bother asking for help, because they're not going to give it to you. Between the chaos in here and the hell that is parking at Arundel Mills in general, I'd avoid this place at all costs. Go to the Harundale location instead, if you're going to go. I know I won't be back to THIS particular one - even if the clothes are a dollar. It's just not worth my sanity. read more

Burlington Coat Factory has great items, but the slow service diminishes all things. My 80 year old mom has been making her way through the line for 30 minutes now. She's now 6 away from service. There are 3 cashiers & the line is ridiculously long. Understaffed & personally I don't shop places that don't value my time. This is agony. This store has a great selection of kid shoes......styles, color and sizes at great prices! Bought a comforter here a couple months ago. When I got home and opened it, it had rips and stains on it. Needless to say I was not pleased and I called the store to tell them about it. The associate who took my call said that I could come up there and ask for her and she would ensure that I got a 35% discount. Mind you, I live in Aberdeen so this is a trip for me - about 45 minutes. Nevertheless I went up there the following weekend and asked for that associate. She acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about originally. Then she finally said "oh okay," and told me to go ahead and pick out a new comforter. So I did. That having learned my lesson from the last one I purchased I asked her to open it before I purchased it. And even that one had stains on it. Talk about disgusting! I ended up just asking for a full refund for the original one that I purchased and I did not buy anything else. After being a die hard Burlington shopaholic for as long as I can remember--I LOVE hunting through the isles and searching for deals and hidden gems. I had my FIRST EVER experience where I was completely appalled with my visit 6 months ago...BUT I am giving my 5 star review and raving not only about this locations awesome Manager Heidi but Corporate offices for truly CARING and going ABOVE and BEYOND for their long and LOYAL patrons! The way they handle their guest concerns is truly breathtaking and completely above par in comparison to a lot; if not, all of retail establishments who would be considered their "competition". In my opinion..when it comes to actually CARING about Guest relations you guys are the title holders of the #1 spot. Here's the thing..retail work isn't easy..dealing with guests isn't easy; especially when it's things not in your control. But Heidi is in this store REALLY making this Retail life look easy! The staff that I encountered on my trip today were absolutely AMAZING..they all had smiles on their faces, engaging despite how busy they were, no one made it seems as thought "us"(the shoppers) were a burden for shopping. They were all working as a unit making the store look great while still being approachable and helpful! Truly amazing job in there! It was a nice change of pace walking into this location vs other retailers I've been too this holiday season...especially so from my last encounter at this location! The worst EVER!!!!!!! I had to stand in line for about 35 minutes. 20 people on line, only 3 cashiers. Then one cashier leaves which left two. Then a second cashier leaves, leaving only one. Meanwhile there is still 20 people on line. I called the office and requested another cashier to come and assist and I got nothing. The person said they would send someone and no one came.
