I just had the worse experience ever in front of a long line of customers. I walked in to TJ max this afternoon to return a few items that simply did not fit me. All tags were still on the items and the receipts were provided to the sales associate. As soon as I walk up to process my return I'm greeted by Yelena H. With such bad attitude and facial expressions. Not a hello or how are you doing! She proceeded to grab my items and receipts and says none of these items match the items in the receipts. I asked her what does she mean? The three items I brought to return have a receipt. She said "no you didn't", "You probably switched the tags!". At this point I felt extremely embarrassed and appalled. Not only did she say this in front of many customers but in such loud voice. I asked her to please scan the items and try to find them that way. I couldn't understand why the description on the receipts did not match the tags although the prices matched the receipt. She said she couldn't scan them and asked me to return to the TJ max where I purchased them and return them there because she couldn't help me. I asked her to please call a manager and she said, "there's no manager", I'm the supervisor. I then asked her if she could enter the items manually but she refused. She said idk why you keep giving me "HEAT" for this." "You clearly don't have receipts for the items". All of a sudden she calls for a manager over the intercom. The manager walks up and does nothing. He just stood there with a blank face. He then says we can scan the items and find them that way. At this point I was had been standing there for about 10minutes trying to be helped by someone who was extremely rude and careless. I said you can go ahead and do what ever you want to do. Yelena says I can only do store credit. I said go ahead.! I was so upset at her loud comments insinuating that I had switched the tags and that I could have potentially tried doing fraud. The accusations against me from Yelena were absolutely uncalled for. I literally broke down in tears in front of everyone at the store. At this point the manager Neil walks away without giving me at least one apology. Yelena brought a box of tissue but did not offer one apology the whole time. I said to her, I've never been treated with such disrespect by anyone. Not only did you embarrass me I front of many people but you accused me of something I would never do. I have two small children and I would never do something so dishonest. She really did not care what i said, and only gave me a blank stare and dismissed me. I can't comprehend how a person with zero customer service can be in a position of supervising. I will be emailing corporate so someone can provide her customer service training/coaching, manners and teach her to be kind to others. The interesting thing is that i also purchased a kids Spider-Man luggage and when the receipt printed the description on the receipt and the tag had nothing to do with children's luggage or Spider-Man. I pointed this to Yelena and said, "you see how this doesn't match"? So if I was to return or exchange this item I would be accused of switching tags? She again said nothing and grabbed a pen and wrote Spider-Man suitcase. Next to "MENS ACC/GIFT which was the description printed for the item that I purchased. I truly hope no one ever gets treated in this manner. I look forward to speaking with someone from corporate soon.

While it may be a bit odd to review a department store, I'm here nonetheless. I came in with no expectations, and secretly hoped I could find a little hidden gem or something. Their Halloween display at the entrance really caught my eye. I looked in the handbag section and actually found a Dooney & Bourke bag. That's always nice! I made my way around the entire store, stopped in Clearance, Home, and the Pet section. I LOVED their Christmas throw pillows. Some really neat ones this season. Hope they don't sell out since it's October! Found a couple of items, made my way to the front to pay. Stood in the horribly long line while they had 4 cashiers working ... While I was STILL in line, one of the cashiers walked away. Fussed around behind the cash rap, then helped another cashier fold and bag? I thought I heard her say, "I'm off." But she stayed to help her colleague BUT none of us paying customers standing in line. Waiting..... Oh well, that's retail for ya!

I heart TJ Maxx, but like most locations it can be hit or miss. Sometimes I see nothing...other times more stuff than I can afford to buy at once. Better quality brands than Ross and good selection of Italian leather bags, hair products. This most recent visited garnered me an awesome Rampage leopard bag. YAY to all things leopard and Hello Kitty.

Long lines. Always more customers than cashiers. I have had to walk out a few times on my lunch break.

They did everything from a paver-stone patio, new irrigation and sod, removing and re-locating existing trees and plants, adding lights, and even retrofitting and setting up an old fountain of ours that had been used as a planter. I can't say enough about Andres and his crew, they were hard working, professional and had great ideas for improving our design. Lastly, Laurie came in and helped with the grand design of our planting scheme. With her knowledge of plants, she made the most of our existing plants and then added her touch with additional planting that turned our backyard into a wonderland. We love our new backyard and are so happy we chose Sterling Gardens Nursery to do the job.

After we went to the latter with only partial success, DH suggested going to Sterling. He'd been there before, while I had only wanted to visit but had never stopped in. It's beautifully laid out. Though it's a nursery, selling all manner of trees and other plants, it's arranged to feel like you're visiting a designed garden. Once we drove into the heart of the property I was somewhat confused on where to stop and park. DH remarked that they had done some major rearranging since he'd last been there, so he wasn't sure where to direct me to go. We found a spot that wasn't blocking any of their driveways, then got out to take a look around. We weren't seeing any succulents, nor any employees to ask. I was soaking up the beautiful surroundings when one of the staff offered to help. He said that they don't sell smaller succulents, only one and five gallon pots. That's not going to work for us at this stage, so we thanked him and moved on to another stop. I would plan to return when looking for larger landscaping needs.

We ate at Panda Express, while admiring the flowering trees outside their windows, and throughout much of the parking lot landscaping. I'm not sure what they are exactly, but the pink/white flowers definitely brightened up the overall property of the shopping center. After eating, I walked across to Famous Footwear and did a quick walk-through, and then on to TJ Maxx. It's great that those businesses were able to withstand Covid-19 and are still there for shoppers. Most of the major tenants are also intact after many years. There have been a few changes, mostly in the food court area near Kohl's. Carbon Health has gone in between TJ Maxx and Target as a new tenant. I believe that's an urgent care facility. The Marketplace appears to be a strong local shopping / dining plaza for Moorpark. Its location near the 23 freeway at L.A. Avenue makes for great convenience. Lots of free parking!
