I love the clothes here but I was disappointed when I got in line to purchase and the cashier Diana was giving rude looks. I understand working all day with customers can be tiring but I've never felt so disrespected. It made me feel uncomfortable to where I didn't want to come back. I hate it because I actually love coming here and when I was putting change back into my purse it took no less than five minutes and you could tell she wanted me to leave already. Customer service is definitely a big part of having a successful company. I'm just disappointed and hope that the company reevaluates who they hire. I'll make sure to let everyone I know that if they keep hiring people with disrespectful personalities like Diana that they shouldn't come to the one on Lake. read more

TJ Max is very reliable especially since my workplace is only five minutes away. I was in a hurry to find a top for my Back to School Night and luckily I found a cute top. TJ Max is affordable and I enjoyed shopping here. read more

Very unsatisfactory customer service. I was a long time customer of this store , but will no longer shop there. I had the bad luck of purchasing what proved to be a defective merchandise, but the store employee and customer service person refused to acknowledge the fact and refused to accommodate any action to address the issue. I will definitely not shop there again and will inform my friends who might not look for reviews of the kind of customer service the store offers. read more

I like the store, I usually leave the store with a bag in hand :-) CONS: kids clothes selection limited, no maternity clothes, no petite section, no diaper changing station, so you have to go to Macys or Ross to change baby - which makes me not return to TJs. They have a very good home goods section, make you want to blow your budget! read more

I highly don't recommend T.K.Maxx in South Lake Ave 455, Pasadena, CA. They have no responsibility to their customers. I bought shoes from the brand Rampage. After 30 minutes of wearing, the front side got broken (in the downtown LA, not somewhere in the mountains). Next day I went back to store asking for refound (3 days after the purchase) and they told me they have no reponsibility to the customer. Once you wear it, then it is your problem. For what reason one should take a bill, if they don´t care about it? The manager was awful, unkind and unhelpful. They want only sell things, get the money and then a customer is priority level zero. They don´t care about customer or service, they don´t care about quality or condicion of a product which they sell. I am so disapointed and angry of their attitude to a custommer. went in looking to buy clothing for a new job, just basic all black for a restaurant job nothing to exotic but I was throughly unimpressed with both the selection and the price (not to mention the fact that you walk in on street level into an oddly barren "lobby" and have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to the merchandise) black pants and shirts should not be that difficult to find but they hardly had anything other that super fancy and trending pants costing $89! for that is rather go to a nordstroms rack store. I will say that the home section of the store seemed ample and if I had been looking for anything in the section im sure it would have been a great experience but the lack of clothing selection or any really price cuts make this place a no go for me. Have to downgrade one star, as during a recent visit, felt pressured by the cashier to open a TJ Maxx credit card after i said twice I wasn't interested. Otherwise, I rank them high as they carry my favorite brand of accent candles by DW Home, and have a nice selection of women's and children's clothing. read more

Dang, this is one nice TJ Maxx. All items are organized and all staff welcome you with a greeting and a smile. Unlike other TJ Maxx's, they don't make you put all your fitting room items on a rack; they actually trust you. It's discount that treats you like a high-end customer. I found a lovely skirt in navy and viridian; and this was just on my lunch break. If I had more time, I'd enjoy this discount shoppers' paradise more thoroughly. I'll be back. read more

I saw some people mentioned a lot of name brand shoes were found here so I visited this tjmaxx with great expectation. Location is clean and organized. The selection of designer shoes I didn't see much of the higher end designers. Coach shoes mainly. Clothing designers like Bebe, Betsey Johnson in coats were available. I expected a bigger selection of clothing and designers based on previous reviews. I guess it's a hit or miss. The staff here are very pleasant and courteous, which isn't always a given in a discount store, so thats a plus. It's nice and clean, but not much of a good selection for clothing. I have found some nice toys and nail polish for my nieces and nephew. I also like this store because its nice and big and my nieces and nephew can walk around without running people over :-) read more

This is my most loved spot to chase for marked down merchandise. This area is by a wide margin, one of the best in the region for originator shoes, garments, not too bad workout garments, pooch toys, kitchenware and even furniture. I bought a purse at this location at the beginning of July and paid $30. The strap had fallen off by the beginning of September. When I brought it back to the store, I was met with extremely poor customer service from Mher. His attitude was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. I understand store policy of not exchanging or giving store credit without a receipt, but it is reasonable to expect courteous and respectful customer service in the process. His manager Claudia had more social skills and was more polite. I'll go to the La Canada location from now on. read more

If I could give this place 1 star I would. I come here all the time and love it here until today . I bought a dog costume as a gift for my sisters dog but unfortunately it was too small for her so I had to return it . The manager noemi g. informed me because it was past Halloween I couldn't return it . I'm sorry but where the heck was that policy written ? If it was shown somewhere In the store or someone would have mentioned it as I checked out I would have considered my purchased knowing that I was unsure of my sisters dogs size .She actually was going to take it back but I brought the wrong receipt with me so I asked if I could get store credit and she refused . Wait a sec ... you were willing to give me my money back but not store credit to use at your store ? I honestly would have been fine and understanding about the whole thing if she didn't have a nasty attitude the whole time . How can you be manager talking to customers like this , she looked so unhappy being there it was ridiculous not just with helping me but with everyone she was checking out . Searching for that one special find at a discount rack store can be fun. The feeling when you find it can be even better. Unfortunately, this TJ Maxx store is devoid of anything special. At other TJ Maxx stores in the last few months I have scored incredible deals on clothing from John Varvatos, Marc Jacobs, Zachary Prell, Theory, Boss, and Vince Camuto, but this place is devoid of such finds. The only thing that separates this store from the Ross across the street is that it is filled with the most garishly logo'd and outdated Ralph Lauren Polo shirts that were gaudy and played out in 2005. I get that the Mens department at a place like this is sort of the last thing that anyone cares about from a sales perspective, but at least the TJ Maxx stores in Glendale and Burbank try. read more

Having this fairly new TJ Maxx in this area is great when I have a few minutes to spare and just want to shop a little. Really fun for finding basic clothes, some even that are very high end at affordable prices. I often find little home decor pieces that can be hard to find or categorize someplace different. Compared to other TJ Maxx's this one is a gem. read more
