I was just at this store last night looking through their bras. Two associates stationed outside of the fitting rooms (right by the bras) were complaining to each other (loudly) that they couldn't get everything done. One of the bras fell to the ground and (knowing full well that it wouldn't be the last, the way they cram their racks so full of stuff sometimes) figured I'd look a litte more and pick them all up at once to put them back on the rack (I'm a conscientious shopper!). Not 2 seconds after the bra fell on the floor, one of the obnoxious associates rushed over, clucked her tongue and picked up the fallen bra - shooting me a dirty look. Dirty enough to prompt me to explain my intent about the falling bras syndrome. She just clucked her tongue, rolled her eyes and went back to her conversation with the other complainer. If that had been it I wouldn't be leaving this review but all of the staff was lazy, inconsiderate and treated me like the enemy as I browsed the racks. Shoving what I was looking at out of the way so they can insert the clothes they held in their hands on the rack -- right where I happened to be standing, ignoring my questions & requests for locating items... on and on. I mean, I know it's not Neiman Marcus, but I should at least be able to shop without being treated like I was the enemy. If it weren't for the customers they are so busy being rude to, they wouldn't have the job they so clearly can't stand. read more

Yesterday was my first time at TJ Max. Today was my 2nd time and most likely next Monday at lunch will be my 3rd time. Here are my reasons why: -the teapots and adorable eco friendly crepe pans are in arranged in the aisles that truly are rainbows.. red, orange, yellow.. (you know, roy g. biv!) but throw in teal, forest green, candy apple red... it was a housewares Sol LeWitt exhibit and I was hypnotized. -crystal glassware (the thick heavy kind) also arranged like a rainbow -Yankee Candles are 50% off I would tell you more but the two hours I have spent in here have been in only these sections. 3/4 more of to explore! The prices are (of course) much more reasonable than Bloomies housewares department. I did not spot a single male in here but did spot a couple of adorable dogs sitting in shopping carts as their mommies shopped. read more

With most TJ Maxx's, it tends to be "hit or miss" as far as clothes shopping goes, but with this store in particular I have had more hits than misses (hence the four stars; I would have given five if I found something every time I stopped by), especially within the past few months. To date, my most notable find has been a hot pair of Rock & Republic jeans, originally retailing for $265 (without tax), for much, much less than I would have found anywhere else, including eBay. Also, I have found some nice summer dresses, one sexy going-out dress, and some housewares. I look forward to browsing the extensive housewares section in August as I prepare to transfer to UCR in September. read more

OK. I understand this is a TJ Maxx and not Nordstrom, but come on - decent customer service is universal isn't it? The store itself is great - I am totally into HomeGoods right now because we are furnishing our home (yay!). I had a great time perusing through their many aisles of goodies. There is a little bit of everything, but you probably have to check back from time to time to get exactly what you want since their stock/style/colors are really random. Everything was great until I went up to the register. Prior to writing this review I looked at the reviews below to see if anyone else had any issues up here - turns out, they did. The manager here (the woman) is unnecessarily rude. SCENARIO: I wanted to purchase 2 matching plates, but one had 2 scratches on it. Let me preface this by saying I was ready to purchase both plates as is, but as a rule of thumb if anything is "off" or "damaged" in any way when I purchase an item brand new, I will ALWAYS ask if a) there is an extra/new one in the back. or b) there is a discount that can be offered. The cashier had to call the manager to ask. When she came, cashier was smiling while asking the manager like it was some kind of joke. Though they were off to the side, manager said out loud (clearly so that I could hear) in one of those "don't mess with me cuz i'm da shiz" tones and attitudes, "I must need glasses cuz I don't see no scratch on here." That was just the beginning but i'll save you the rest of the story, including the mgr telling me that the plates must have "come like that from the manufacturer." Really? I didn't know they were manufacturing scratched plates these days, and not sure then how the other identical plate was perfect. Shop here for the same basic deals you get at any discount store, but don't expect any sort of humane customer service if it ever gets brought up to the manager. Expect to be treated like you don't deserve their time, help, service, or respect. 3 stars for good finds + TJ Maxx/HomeGoods in general, plus 1 star for the sweet older lady who helped me on the floor. I love shopping here for gifts. Beware, this place gets super crazy during the holidays. Seriously worth it for all the amazing deals. The cashiers are always very friendly, speedy and accurate, so don't be scared of the line is long; it goes was faster than you think. Their kitchenware and accessory selection is really unbeatable. I find a gift for anyone and any occasion. Perfect for office party gift exchanges! Try to go in the late morning to mid afternoon during the week. About week ago paid $115 for my purchase $8 by a gift card. Today I had to return two items around $15 total due to it being the wrong size. I was told that it could not be returned to my credit card (my own money!) but that it had to go back on the store credit due to the receipt listing the stores credit first and then my credit card in the method of payment. I have never heard of this policy before from any retail store or any other TJ Maxx store that I have frequented before. They told me it was because their registers are so old. This has never happed to me here before or any other store. You always get your own money (cash, debit, credit card) back first and then the gift card last. I don't ever post 1 star review but buyers beware this policy does not treat customers fairly. read more

What keeps me coming back??!! THE PRICE - the sh*t you get for the price you pay! HOLY. Where to start. I LOVE this place. We recently moved and needed to buy furnitures, decorate sh*t for the house, you name it. They have everything you need - almost feels like a mini iKEA.. or maybe like a Target (except cheaper). We recently bought a full length mirror for only $30 and found a similar one at Target for $90.. whaaaaaat. Lol at the other Yelper who has encountered crazy rude shoppers. I have also had an older white lady walk up to me so close I thought she wanted to sexually assault me and then she literally reached across me so close she brushed up against me and grabbed something practically in front of my face. I was like WTF, said "Excuse YOU" and proceeded to walk away. The old perv twittered back, "No, no, it's okay". This is VERY common here to encounter shoppers with absolutely NO manners, grabby hands, a giant sense of entitlement and what I can only imagine is a deep dark desire to kiss you on your neck. To be fair, this is why I also avoid Whole Foods. I will spare you the story of the time a slightly less hag like older white women felt me up for a shot at kale. Anyhow, sad south San Jose and "Almaden" with million dollar homes lives up to a second rate trashy reputation. This store is always trashed so I guess that's what it attracts. Otherwise, the employees have actually been overall very nice if not totally competent or mentally there. The manager who had to step in to finish a transaction when the clerk helping me basically walked off, well she did not show any signs of impatience or irritation, even though it was an exasperating situation for the both of us. So, just know what you're stepping into lest you feel like a cheap date later. read more

Worst customer service on 11.05.18. 12:17pm. Tissue papers for the fragile items, right? Specially if the item is about 15 inches tall ceramic vase. I was surprised that cashier, "Angie" did not even wrap the vase and just handed it to me. I asked her if she can pack it with tissue/wrapping paper. she wrapped it with One piece of paper. One very thin piece of paper! I asked her again, if she can use more papers to wrap. The reason for tissue papers is to protect the fragile products! One piece of paper not going to do anything. She just gave me One more piece of paper and not even tried to wrap it. Angie, please be kind to your customer. Please be ready to provide good service by wrapping any fragile items. At least you could ask customer if they want any wrapping papers for their fragile items. read more

I like TJ Maxx Home Goods over Ross and other discount stores. Feels clean and tidy, and lots of good stuff! I came to this one looking for an ottoman and two side tables. Unfortunately, when you look for specific things, you won't necessarily find it. But I left with some more nifty hangers, a cute little laundry hamper, and a paper towl rack for $5! Score! This store is also nice as the Home Goods is downstairs, and the clothes and shoes upstairs, so all separated. The only con is there were no carts in sight! I had to go to the parking lot to nab a lone cart. read more

Can I just say...this is my TOY STORE?!?! It's like a toys'r'us for people who want to look at aisles and aisles of home decor and accent pieces that won't cost them an arm and a leg. It's not cheapo quality stuff either. I come here for lamps, wall art, mirrors, vases, planter boxes, plates, dog beds, area rugs, and well, for everything. I especially come here when I am helping a client with the final little touches when decorating their space. Sometimes I even ask my boyfriend to just take me here period. What can I say? This place just makes me happy. As for the second floor? Clothes I think... I've never made it up there. I am perfectly content amidst rows and rows home decor. read more

Who doesn't love TJ Maxx? Great household items and clothing for a discounted price? I'm IN! This location has been around for a while located in the same plaza as Red Lobster. Costco and Trader's Joe at the corner of Almaden Expwy and Blossom Hill Rd. The one thing I would complain about are their tiny parking spaces in front of the store. I'd rather park a little farther and closer to Chase bank than being so close to another car and risk them scratching my car! Other than that, this store has two stories with escalators and an elevator. They almost always have great furniture and clothing options. Their prices are awesome and very affordable. I love to get my bed sheets here because they have the Hotel Collection with a high thread count for only $49.99 queen size. That's just plain awesomeness. Who doesn't love great soft Egyptian cotton sateen bed sheets? If you're looking for a good buy with a great selection, TJ Maxx is the place! read more

TJ Maxx is my newly discovered love! Until several of my colleagues recommended TJ Maxx Home Goods, I never went into any of their stores. I came here to get some storage containers boxes and totes for our puppy's toys and treats. Couldn't find a good storage container because the ones on display seem to be a bit defective. But got a nice tote for puppy toys. We browsed the store and picked up a couple of cute home decor items as well. Prices are very reasonable. Just make sure you check all the products for any defects before making the purchase. Bu this is certainly a place where you will end up grabbing a thing or two during every visit to the store. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I love all the items that I get from here but, I hate all the money I always end up spending! I'm not saying this place is expensive, just saying that they have a lot of items that I want! The only reason I knocked it down 1 star is because the store is quite cluttered. It is hard to maneuver a shopping cart through the store, especially when there is a decent amount of people there as well. I believe it to be nearly impossible for anyone to walk in here and not find something to buy. They have almost everything (For the home) from toilet paper holders to seasonal decor. What is also really nice is that they have entire clothing section upstairs and have quite the selection. I do enjoy shopping here, but this place can be dangerous... Haha read more

This place looks like an upscale new vintage boutique threw up in here. If that makes sense. They have everything you want, but good luck finding it. Do I really need this purple glass dove? No but it looks cool and maybe one day it will match with something. When I was waiting in line with my awesome silverish cake stand with fake crystals hanging off the sides and my white glass pink ribbon entwined cake stand I was reading their sign that says they get 10,000 items every week! Are you kidding me. I'm not sure that I would want to come here every week, it would be way to overwhelming but I am kind of intrigued now too see what else I can find. They try to color coordinate everything which is nice because if your like hey, I need an blue starfish serving platter, bam go look in the blue section, and if they don't have it then I guess you'll just have to come back later and see if they do. But everything just seems to be everywhere sometimes and you just don't know where to look. But I do like this place and I will definitely keep coming back! read more

Selection could be better. Traffic here is always pretty bad since it's located in S SJ. I don't particularly like this location and prefer the Cupertino one for the main reason that it is newer and that location is much more organized. One of my recent experiences was that this lady was hauling things away in her shopping cart at everything she could grab, and she literally stepped in front of me and reached over my shopping cart for a candle decor. She was so close to me that if I had been any closer with my shopping cart, we would've collided. I was like O_O and shocked that she didn't say "excuse me" like most people who have manners. She was grabbing items and acting like she owned the place. The entire time, the TJ maxx employee did not greet me but she seemed genuinely scared of this crazy shopper... I overheard their conversation and found out this lady is a "interior home designer or decorator" of some sort. She sounded like she was proud and part of an "elite" profession.... I wanted to say, "Lady, the way you were behaving you should shop at Walmart." I felt really uncomfortable shopping there and that the employees didn't stop her ridicules behavior... will not return soon. read more

I love TJ Max! I went there today and bought some business attire, a bathing suite, and three pairs of shoes. I always have to exercise my self control in this store because they have so much great stuff. I have been shopping at TJ max for years,even when I lived in South Carolina. The clothes and shoe selections (upstairs) are really good, but I go mostly for the home decor (downstairs). Don't go when you're short on time. The lines can take forever. Also, don't expect great customer service. while their selection is amazing and always changing, the only constant at TJ Maxx is the mediocre customer care. Returns are always a hassle, and employees are hard to find and not usually very helpful. Favs: Wall decor and home accessories. Also a great place for tableware and cookware. Tip: There are two clearance locations: one in the back of the Home and Garden section near the linens, and another in the rear, right-hand side of the store. read more

Panic!!!! Where's all the carts at? Apparently they are all floating around the store. I stole someone's cart and started to shop my paycheck away. Since the last time I've been here, they have upgraded a lot. There were lots of good finds. It's kind of like a pick and pull but for Home Goods. I've only traveled as far as the first floor. I've never seen a cart available, but somehow everyone ELSE whose shopping has one. My major purchases here are usually for neat pots to hold my plants. Its ok, but not great for everything else. read more

Omg yelp did not tell me that this is a 2 story Home Goods/ TJ Maxx combo! It's huge. The first story is entirely dedicated to an expansive Home Goods selection and the second story is a TJ Maxx clothing universe. I mean, there were two aisles dedicated to pets! Picked up some hip/joint treats that retail for $15.00 for $8.99, some dental treats that retail for $13.99 for $5.99 and a humongous pack of 365 doggie doo doo bags for $12.99. Could easily get lost for hours and drop some serious moolah! Loved it! read more

Horrible customer service here from the managers!!!! There was a computer malfunction and I was double charged. I paid for my items with debit card at first and was told the transaction did not go through. I then paid with cash instead. My bank account showed that the transaction did go through. I went back the same day to get my money back, but the manager, Tina, said to come back "a few days later." I came back a few days later with a bank statement confirming the charge. I was at TJ Maxx for at least an hour, but nothing was resolved. The employees & managers kept saying the debit card charge didn't go through. The manager, Sonya, was very dismissive and asked if I "called the bank," when I already had a bank statement printed out! I ended up calling the bank and putting them on speaker, in order for the TJ Maxx cashiers and managers to hear what they said. The manager (Sonya) & the other employees listened to the bank say that TJ Maxx needs to refund me my money or the bank will help me with a dispute!!! I received unprofessional service and had a terrible encounter with Sonya. She was unapologetic, rude, dismissive, and difficult to talk to. She was the first one to say my bank had to give me my money back, not TJ Maxx, which does not make any sense, as I was charged by TJ Maxx. I also talked to multiple managers and staff. There was one manager who only came at the end to help because she wanted to grab her food. My bank was able to help file a dispute with TJ Maxx, which was quick, but extremely unnecessary. Overall, the manager, Sonya, and her boss made this location terrible. What a waste of time and energy! read more

Not the best TJMaxx/Homegoods I've gone to, maybe because the store is too small for too many products. They have two floors, first floor for home goods, second floor for clothes and baby stuff. What I don't like about this store is, the aisles are really narrow. If you happen to bring your stroller, you won't be able to walk on the aisle where there's people with carts. So yeah, you can roughly measure the width of the aisle itself is a cart and a stroller. So you'll need to walk around to he other aisle and come back from the other end if you want to see stuff on that rack. Not convenient at all. Plus if you happen to shop toward the holiday season, be prepare! be prepare to bump with other people, be prepare to stand in a long line (bring your iPhone to kill your bad mood and play angry birds), just be prepare... to hold the S and F word. read more

By far my favorite-- and the largest-- TJ Maxx store in the area. The first floor is all HomeGoods and the second floor is clothing/shoes etc, so there aren't pillows mixed in with shoes. I come out of here with something more often than not. Most recently, I did my holiday shopping here and even ended up with a pair of really cute shoes that were, of course, like 50% off the original price. The store's organization changes every so often so it does take time to hunt for things, but this is always the location I go to if I can. read more

This store has a huge Home Furnishing/Kitchen department, the entire 1st floor. There are tons of goodies you can find throughout. I was shopping for kitchen utensils, towels, a cast iron griddle, and jeans. Kitchen utensils: They don't have a huge selection, but they seem to cover all the basics. I didn't see a whole lot a softer utensiles that are less harsh on pans unfortunately. Towels: Much like everyone else I'm sure, I was searching for soft/plush towels. I wasn't able to find any. They all pretty much felt the same with the only variation being the color. Cast Iron Griddle: They had the exact one I saw at Target, and unfortunately (for TJ Maxx) it was cheaper at Target. But at least they had one. Jeans: The jeans, and mens clothes in general, were actually very well organized. Everything was sorted by size and was really easy to search though. I was really glad when I noticed this because I typically get headaches looking for clothes in stores like this. Overall good experience. read more

Definitely not as great for clothing or accessories as the Santa Clara location, but the housewares blows me away. I always find something great here. One of my great finds: Breakfast At Tiffany's Original Poster Framed it's beautiful and was only $50. I believe the size is 24 x 36 or somewhere near that. Not much of a fan of the upstairs TJ Maxx portion of this store, but I love the downstairs HomeGoods portion of the store. They actually have some really nice items such as candles, small furniture, and bath towels. I also love their food item section where they have unique teas, candies, and jams. This is a great place for finding some not-so-generic birthday presents and holiday gifts for people. This place is also really well maintained for the amount of miscellaneous things that they have. The Ross a few doors down is a total mess. read more

Cant help myself but leaving this comment. Every single time I have an exchange or return I face issues with management. I recently purchased an item from the mercado location and was told I need to go back there to return it. Excuse me? So you want me to drive 12 miles for a small item that you can easily return here ? I dont think so. So I said ok let me call them and see what their management says. As soon as I did , another manager came over and said we will do it for you. Why was the first manager Lori wasnt able to initially and now Cathy could ? There is so much wrong with this management. Why give the customer the run around ? I dont understand this TJ Maxx. No other one is as bad. I will most likely not return due to such tarrible leadership or lack there of. Sorry to say but this isnt how you treat a customer. The management needs serious improvements. read more

If you like shopping for last years fashion labels,or hunting for a good bargain. Then TJ Maxx is your store. They have a nice big parking lot. It is a two story shopping affair, expect to find racks of clothes (good designers), they are sorted by size but expect to have to hunt a little to find something. The store is well organized, well lit and has a lot of merchandise. They also carry other household items, photo frames, art, lamps, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, pillows, hand bags, scarfs, and area rugs I don't shop hear that often, but have found the staff to be helpful and courteous. The checkout lines do get long. 4 stars read more

This review is for the great staff.! I came in on Sunday 05/17 .. I walked in on a customer cursing out the Tjmaxx staff (upstairs). It was over something real dumb and the staff did not deserve to be spoken to in that way . NO ONE deserved that.! The staff remained calm and soon enough the customer got tired and walked away!(good job!) don't listen to these crazy people who feel entitled guys!. When checking out I had asked a sales associate about an item i was looking for that they did not have and she gladly gave me advice on where i might find it. The two ladies who were working at the jewelry counter in the afternoon on 12/8/19 were extremely rude and difficult. They acted as though it was an enormous inconvenience for them to ring up our purchase. The younger of the two even tried to skip over us to help someone who walked up a couple of minutes after we approached the counter. She then got very pissy with us when we insisted that we be assisted first, since we had already been waiting and, rather than ringing up the purchase, asked the other lady to take care of our purchase. That woman did so, but was rude, brusque, and, unpleasant. read more
