The food here is to-die for, and is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. I have friends who visit from out of town who specifically request to go to Blue Fish during their stay! The prices are great for the quality of the food. I always opt for the build-your-own entree. This time, I chose the brisket with a side of the caramelized plantains, but I also often go with the chicken, steak, or salmon with the pesto butter. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. The staff are very kind and the service is quick. The interior is modern and up-to-date, paralleled by its brick historic vibe exterior, as the Stangl Factory building was once a pottery/ceramic factory. Now, the building is home to Blue Fish Grill, as well as a number of other businesses including an artist-owned gallery, a large pottery studio, a medium, and a yoga and physical therapy studio. Stangl also hosts a weekly artisan farmers' market and bi-monthly live music and art events. It really is a growing creative community. Blue Fish Grill doesn't have a bar, but they do allow BYOB. If you find yourself in the Flemington area, be sure to grab a bite at Blue Fish! It will surely be a meal to remember.

The salsa was fresh, delicious and had a bit of heat. For our entrees, my wife went with the Plato Combinado where you choose three items from burrito, enchilada, chimichanga and tamale. I chose the blackened chicken special, which is boneless chicken breast cooked in different types of dry mexican chiles, served over rice, with veggies on the side. For dessert, we split a tres leches cake. The staff were very friendly. They were quick to bring out more chips while we waited for our entrees. The interior is in an old house.
