I just wanted to let people know that the UG butter taste like canola oil. It's supposed to be a premium European style grass fit made butter. But unfortunately, it's not the case. The organic butter from BJ's than that. KERRYGOLD. Which is premium top notch. I have plenty in the box. Recently ordered grocery pick up from here and I absolutely loved it. It was so convenient and easy through their app and they only charge a $2.99 fee for the service. Love the store and especially the new cart that you can scan and bag your items as you go and just go to self check out and pay. It's so easy! My only complaint is they just rearrange the whole store and it's hard to get used to. I don't understand why they did this! But customer service is excellent and they are giving help finding things. Flemington Shop-Rite is the best! I was so happy to shop there last week when we visited NJ. We had shopped at Flemington Shop Rite for over 30 years before moving to VA. The store is clean, has a great variety of items and the staff is so helpful. The grocery stores in Virginia are horrible - limited variety, small aisles and unfriendly staff. The produce and meat costs more than Shop-Rite and is limited. I miss Shop-Rite so much! read more

I find everything I need. The store is every clean, with good lighting and access. I am an Older Citizen who does my own shopping. The staff is wonderful. When I can't find something I need, the Customer Service is very helpful in pointing the location or getting someone to help. Pharmacy and Dietician are great. To those who are complaining about the new aisle layouts, changing things around, organization meat grinder and that no-one cares about the customers, etc., Have you tried speaking with the Managers? Probably not. All the stores- groceries, home goods, department store re-arrange them periodically. every week i order deli lunchmeat for my client. I specifically order "shaven" since she has problems chewing. It seems to be to difficult to do, since every week i have to discard the solid pieces that are in the order. I have complained to management and they advised me to give my specifics in the request when i place the order. Unfortunately it is either not read or just ignored. The lady behind the counter has a false curtesy. When i mention to her that i NEED to have it shaven she remarks with an irritated comment, like , I know what shaven means. Never did get it shaven. I can go to wegmans, never a problem. Nice and clean, being waited on and getting the cut i want, every time. sorry to have to go out of my way, but after months and months of the same thing....i give up. read more

No, it's not my usual "grocery store" review. It's not a review that pertains to whether or not they stock liquid hand soap or canned pears or sufficient toilet paper, or whether the clerk welcomes me with a ready smile and a friendly "Hello," or doesn't, or reluctantly bags my groceries with attitude to spare, or doesn't. Truth is, Flemington is not really within the radius of my peregrinations around NJ, and I don't really know the town very well. Under normal circumstances, I would never shop here. Under normal circumstances, I would never see Flemington except maybe in passing by it on my way to Lambertville or Philadelphia. (Bruno Hauptmann didn't like it much either.) No, it's primarily a review of how I was finally able to set up an appointment for the Covid vaccine, and was able to set it up here. Hasn't been easy, folks. I went onto the "NJ Vaccine" website and was able to register fairly easily, but securing an appointment wasn't working out at all. There's a ShopRite pharmacy about 10 minutes from where I live, but its been impossible for me to secure an appointment there, or anywhere else within my county, which is Somerset. Every time I went onto the website... and I went on often...I was kicked out after being advised, "No appointments available within 50 miles." I tried fruitlessly, and frustratingly, for several weeks. A friend suggested I go onto the website at 3am. My days (nights) of being awake at 3am are long behind me. (Not too long ago, a longtime friend asked if I wanted to go to a nocturnal "social event." Back in the day, we would have called it "a party." I replied, "Nah, I'm kinda tired. I think I'll hit the hay early tonight." This friend, remembering those days when we WERE wide awake at 3am, stared at me a moment with perplexed dismay before finally asking, almost sadly, "What in the f**k happened to you, man?" Old age, brother. Old age.) At one point, I was on the website for an hour to no avail, and in frustration, I put in the zip code for the less populated Hunterdon County, and...bingo!...my appointment was official. Finally! This ShopRite is located hard by a well-traveled traffic circle, and I detest traffic circles. Especially when they're in areas that I'm really not familiar with. Still...I was determined to persevere and go through with the vaccination process, no matter what. My appointment was 10am. I hazarded my way through the circle...taking a wrong exit at one point, and having to U-turn my way back...and into the ShopRite parking lot at 9:30. This was one time I wanted to be more than just punctual. I wanted to be early. This is an area congested with strip malls, Bed Bath & Beyond, a Staples, confusing side roadways, incomprehensible traffic signs, etc., but...thankfully for me...the morning coffee (2 cups, black) had kicked in, and I was able to park where I needed to park. Inside I was directed to an area near the back of the store. A couple of other people were in front of me. My appointment was for 10; I didn't actually get inside until 10:15, but that was ok. Most of the people connected with the operation were friendly and efficient. I filled out the questionnaire, and asked the young gentleman preparing the shot if I could expect a "reaction." He said I might be "achy," show signs of a low grade fever, lack appetite (not a bad thing, in my particular case), or be tired. I was given the shot, and advised to wait 15 minutes before leaving. An appointment for the 2nd shot was set up for a few weeks hence. I left the area, relieved. I actually bought a few items I needed before departing. Based on my cursory observation, the store seemed well stocked, not especially crowded, and the clerk was personable and efficient. All bases covered. My drive home was somewhat meandering. I passed by the Clarence Dillon library in Bedminster and stopped at the traffic light. A group of approximately 30 people stood on the corner, shouting exuberantly, waving large American flags, and signs, one of which read "VOTE FOR TRUMP." My 1st thought was, "Is hallucinating a part of the vaccine process?" If so, I must've been having a "bad trip." My 2nd thought was, "Have I entered a time warp? Is this a daytime nightmare?" In retrospect, I guess it shouldn't have been too surprising. Scump's Wolf's Lair...more colloquially known as Trump's Golf Club...is just a few miles down the road. A few miles the other way is the location for "Sons of Liberty," an ultra-reactionary group still fighting the "Stop the Steal" war. Knowing instinctively that these people crave attention above all else...even of the negative variety...I kept my expression bland, and proceeded on my course home once the light changed. Keep living the illusion, people. Keeps you from having to face reality, I guess. I go for my 2nd shot in a few weeks. Not sure what "visions" will come to me then. Maybe Scump crawling up out of his sewer like Pennywise the Clown. Anyway, thanks, ShopRite. You're OK. read more

I've been going to this store for a very long time. I've been getting stalked by an employee who I've reported & instead of doing something about the problem. I was accused today of stealing by a man who said he was the store "manager". I don't know whether he was or not, but during this somewhat nasty speech he was giving me he called me a bitch...I was shocked!!! Not only was I being accused of something I didn't do, but he was going to call me nasty names. Seriously, this store is a joke! Their produse breaks into fruit flies & they price gouge! At Shoprite ya'll can get a normal size bag of almonds for $9.99 but if I go to another store I can buy them for $5.96 for the same size bag. That store is wildly over priced & all the employees should get lessons on how to nicely approach their customers ---so frustrating & mean!!! read more

Very frustrated with your deli Department in flemington. I shop for a person that has swallowing problems and i explain this on The order to make sure. I ask for it to be shaven. 80 per cent of the time my request is ignored. I am affraid to bring it back and complain . The worst thing is that you cant order it face to face and see them doing it.....that might put a stop to all this. I now have to drive to wegmans to get that personal service, food gets put in trash and my. Freind is out of $$$ , living on SS. What a shame. read more

The one star is for the ShopRite at Home customer service. In the past five weeks I've had to return to the store twice to speak with management regarding issues with my order. The first time was due to items which the shopper said were out of stock. I went into the store to find that the items were sitting on the shelves. This makes me wonder why I'm paying for the service if they're not truly checking to see if something is in stock and I have to go inside anyways. The second time was because they forgot to include items in my order. When I called them they were extremely rude and hung up on me. When I called back they left me on hold. Their explanation for not including these items was that I forgot to check the box in the mobile app to allow substitutions. But if they knew what they were talking about it, they'd know that with the roll out of their new app that the box is no longer available. Perhaps they need education on their own service. I must say however that in both incidents described above, their managers on site handled the situation and escalation correctly. They listened to my concerns and gave me confidence that they take their customers concerns seriously. I hope I'm not mistaken and they will make an effort to ensure this doesn't happen again with other customers. read more

ShopRites are not my "go to" grocery because I don't like their vibe. I went to the ShopRite of Flemington to purchase a quart of heavy cream and half-half which my regular grocery did not have (Holiday rush?). Shop-Rite had only organic pint size versions not what I wanted and they were pricey. I said what the heck & purchased them. I put them in a cooler with ice blocks and went to a nearby large box grocery. To my surprise they had quart size heavy cream & half & half for less than what paid for a pint at ShopRite. As the ShopRite was on my way home I stopped to return the half-half & heavy cream I bought there. Lady at the service desk was indignant and told me that these were cold items. I told her yes I had them in cooler. She said no I cannot return them. Buyer beware! ShopRite should prominently post their return policy so customer can be informed. The service desk attitude was terrible and sealed the deal of never shopping at ShopRite again. Now I have more half & half and heavy cream than I need! This review focused on the deli. This store has gone from one of the best deli's in the Shoprite chain to the worst since Covid. There is no longer personal service. All deli orders must be done either at a kiosk or on line. Whenever I have ordered on line, the app tells me I have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to receive the order. That is inconvenient since the deli is located at the front of the store. I usually have to back track to get my order - and this is a large store. Also the quality of the service is inconsistent. Last time I ordered, I received the wrong meat (ham instead of turkey). I discovered it when I got home since all the meats are wrapped up in one bag. When I complained to customer service in the store, I got a rude response that I need to return the package to the store. I'm getting my deli from Shoprite of Branchburg from now on as they seem to be able to have persons behind the deli counter. read more

I have been shopping at this store for 30 years and the last few years this store has definitely gone downhill. They have dropped many of their brands which many people used and replaced them with a new organic brand by Shop Rite. Their website is a joke. I shop online about once a month and every month there are changes (some major). Whoever is handling the programming and design should be fired. Also who needs recipes and a dietician online? It would be a big improvement if they got to the basics of selling groceries and left their website design simple and user friendly and left it alone for awhile and they would be much better off. Also this store covers too large of an area all the way into Bucks county (who should get their own grocery store) and now is really a madhouse. I shop here all the time for years but within the last year I notice the employees are far from friendly.Today I was in the produce isle and went for bananas there was a guy filling the table I picked up a bunch of bananas he grabbed them right out of my hand I guess I was messing up his display he said nothing now I no why he works as a banana boy if you don't like your job get another one.The cashiers are always nice but one women,older with a lot of make up was always rude I avoid that line I don't see her anymore, good.I'm starting to dread going to this place you have to worry what rude and in a bad mood employee you will have to put up with, I really hope the management reads these reviews. read more

First of all I must say that I really love shopping at the ShopRite in Flemington since 2004. Isaac in the meat department is so helpful and never steered me wrong. Chris the manager is so friendly. I have 2 complaints: The young kids you hire are very rude, they will cut you off and not as much as an excuse me. Other ShopRite's have salad bars. This is the best Shop Rite in the area! The proof is they are always busy! Yet, they always seem to be well staffed with courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable associates. The store is well stocked with all the usual stuff, plus they have a pharmacy and an impressive organic food section. The peeps in the appetizer area are not the pimply faced morons you get in other stores. As is the case with the rest of the store, the appy area has 10 year plus veterans slicing and dicing the cold cuts. The bathrooms are clean as is the rest of the store which has been recently renovated. If you just need to pop in to get some moo juice, they have some conveniently located in the front of the store! If you're lucky, long time Flemington Shop Rite employee by the name of Archie, will be cutting promos on the PA system, shilling some of their fresh mozzarella, or some other specials in the store. read more

I shop at SR all the time. I like to buy fresh produce,meat,deli so I'm there every 2-3 days. Great selection, added more organic products. Bakery is awesome! Their breads are delicious and the selection is huge. Yes, it is crowded but it is expected since it is area's best supermarket. The people are always nice (I love Archie), but some ladies in the bakery dept. (not breads but pastry/cakes) need to be nicer and more patient when asked questions. Everything from meat to produce is always fresh and nicely displayed. The check out is usually a headache. Not enough cashiers. Overall, a great place to shop. read more

This is probably my least favorite shoprite in the area because of how popular it is! It is ALWAYS crowded! Seems like the isles are narrower then other ones I dont know.. However, their selection is incredible. Their organic/natural selection is fantastic. The bakery is killer here too! everything from the breads to the doughnuts and omg the apple fritters are AWESOME! The produce is always super fresh. ! The staff is much friendlier and more helpful here then any other location as well. An excellent choice for all grocery products. The produce section is first class, as is the bakery and deli. The meats are always fully stocked and fresh with butchers always available. The organic section is broad, as are the gluten free selections. And of course who could not love the stores roving ambassador, Archie! Also, lots of holiday receipt/coupon related give-aways! I prepare myself a large salad there almost every day - about a pound's worth. I add 2 or 3 pieces of garlic from the other salad area. One of the employees followed me there and wouldn't allow me to do it, saying in effect that I need to pay the extra $1 per pound to add a couple tiny pieces of garlic to my salad.
