Because of my background, I need to work with a trainer who knows their stuff inside and out, one that will push me, and one that understands the fundamentals of exercise physiology and stays away from the hot, hip, and often dangerous trends. JT was all of that and more. I came to JT with a specific goal and only three short weeks to reach it. Three weeks for a fitness program is like a blink of an eye. It is quick. I worked with him twice a week where he pushed me, encouraged me, supported me, and also made sure I left smiling. Within those six sessions, my strength increased exponentially, my stamina improved, and my mental game took huge strides forward (never thought I would be able to do 200 pushups in a day). Each time I came to train with JT, the studio was clean and he was there ready to go. He never wasted time, and he never stalled while coaching me through the workout. He was organized, thorough, methodical, and prepared. I looked forward to my sessions all week. On the in between days, JT would check in with me to see how I was feeling and how my workouts were going. His love for what he does and excitement for my progress always came through the messages. The workouts let me get in the zone as I pump iron. Stone is a stickler for form (as he should be!), which has been invaluable over the years as I've had little to no injuries. The workouts themselves are challenging and progressive, with increasing weights over the weeks. They are never boring and certainly not easy. The strong AC is great for classes in during the summer heat. The lagree reformers are soo comfy and versatile. It's very spacious and there's an area in the back to put your belongings so everything is secure. Michelle made me feel so welcomed my first time. Though it was scary, and at many times I felt lost, she made sure to guide me while still being attentive to all the other students. Even after class she would check in with me and see how I was feeling since she knew I was a beginner. Now I will be religiously taking class from Michelle!
