Found TJ on Yelp and he had high reviews/ratings. I asked for a quote and I left a message that my pool vacuum line was clogged and I was getting no suction. This disabled my pool vacuum and my pool was a mess. TJ got back to me very quickly and I discussed the problem with him. We made an appointment later on in the week and set it for Friday afternoon at 1 pm. We discussed cost and his quote was extremely reasonable. Friday arrived and at 12:45 TJ called and said he was running a little late but would arrive by 1:30. Surprise!! TJ communicates with you!! He arrived at the reset time and he looked over my problem and immediately started working. As it turned out my pool vacuum line was extremely clogged with plastic bag pieces and small wood pieces. It took several attempts with various inventive methods to clear the line. Finally after two hours of persistent effort and attempts the line cleared and my vacuum line works again at full strength!! TJ kept his cool the whole time and was pleasant the whole time. This problem had plagued me for many months!! I was so pleased that I am having TJ return to clean my pool from dirt and stuff collected on pool bottom from the months of non functional vacuum line. This is a full service pool care shop. Repair and weekly maintenance. I was happy with my previous pool service, but switched to Tj's when I needed some plumbing fixed that the other company just didn't have the expertise to do. They referred me to Tj's. They are a newer business (hence fewer reviews right now). But these guys clearly have been working on pools for a long time, and they enjoy it. What I like is every week they send a recap of the water chemistry with a list of the services and chemicals added. Our pool was relatively clean before, but the equipment was in rough shape and I constantly needed to manually skim the pool. They fixed the bearings on my polaris 360 (saving me big on the cost of a new one), cleared out the polaris lines, fixed a backwards weir door on the skimmer (how did this happen??), and a bunch of other deferred maintenance stuff. We've had issues with tons of debris clogging up the pipes and the various baskets, and I am happy to report they have gotten it resolved. The biggest issue Tj's fixed for me was with the flow of the plumbing. Things were really non-optimized. Some other company or the prior owner had added on solar, but in a way that made the whole system work poorly. Basically the way our solar was plumbed created backpressure on the outlet line that made it slow, and the solar outlet only flowed through the sweeper! In half a day, they re-plumbed the entire system and replaced the filtration with something higher quality and modern. Because of their expertise, I didn't even need to replace the pump, which surprised me and saved a load of money. The pump has plenty of power now. They could have easily told me it was shot, and needed replacing, but I appreciate the honesty. And since they are the ones to service the pool every week, I have confidence they're choosing equipment that will last - so they don't have to constantly maintain it :) Overall I'm grateful and hope to be a longtime customer. They already taught me a lot about pool maintenance. I'm less afraid of all this equipment that I don't understand. I have confidence the pool will stay sparkling clean, and if something breaks I don't need to coordinate with another company to get it resolved. read more
