I recently contacted Chris from Christal Clear Pools Service about replacing my aged pool filter. Not only did Chris recomend and install a new filter system he also recomended upgrading the pool motor (pump) to a new energy efficent model. I agreed with his recomendation and was able to also access a rebate available through SMUD that I would not have known about had Chris not tolod me about it. I've never posted a review anywhere, also have never felt compelled to. In this case I feel Chris to be a great asset and an honest businessman. My pool has never been in this good of shape!Since his recomended replacements were implemented I rec'd a $350 rebate from SMUD and my electrical usage for pool motor is about 30% of what it was prior to the upgrade. If you're considering upgrading your equipment I believe you have found the right company and owner to lookout for your best interest. They referred me to Christal Clear because they believed Chris had the expertise on our underground Spa they didn't possess. Chris was recommended to us by our pool maintenance service company. He responded very quickly to my phone call and we made an appointment within four days to install a new filter. Chris did a professional job installing the filter and in a timely manner. The invoice was handmade after the job was complete, but did not match his original estimate. He added an extra labor charge and was unsure of the tax amount for the equipment, which he purchased and we never saw the bill of sale. My pool water is Christal clear and the service was very reasonably priced (I received 2 other bids that were well over $1500 higher for the same equipment and install).
