From looking at my online status, it appears that my glasses were ordered a week after my eye exam. MyEyeDr re-ordered my tinted lenses, which also kept being delayed. As of today, I have still not received them. I also received no updates from MyEyeDr. I had to either call or go into the store for updates. In the meantime, I ordered another pair of glasses and lenses online, and received numerous updates from the online store. The glasses from the online store arrived in 10 days and were much less expensive and of equal or better quality. I would not buy glasses from MyEyeDr again, but I would see their optometrist.

The only con is I live in Charlottesville, and find getting out there for a contaxts lens exam (40 min roundtrip on just the driving) with a follow up to check the contacts (again, another 4p just on the drive) is too much for a busy mom and business owner. And, i got my eyes dilated, and after 2 years of being a patient they HAD to sign a new waiver that said exaxtly what the old thjng said - payment due, right to privacy - but with dilated eyes you couldnt read anything. After repeating this 3 times to the receptionist she read it it to me (which took 10 min). It could have waited. That was Michelle - she needs a course in the customer experience. The 5 star is for everyone else. I had to schedule up a 10 min follow up appointment for the contact lens check up, and its 2 weeks our or 3 weeks. Thats just frustrating. My eyes are healthy. Just give me my dang contacts. ****update****When i expressed my discontent with the wait time as a long time client, they squeezed me in before a plane trip, which is cool. I spoke with Kelly in the reception who helped make that happen - that woman is a good addition to the office.

I had already visited other MyEyeDr offices to shop and compare, as I was looking to get a backup pair of prescription sunglasses. I found most of the other offices far more customer-friendly than this one. With the exception of Avory, who was most impressive in her courtesy, professionalism and superb customer service skills, I found the front staff lacking in their approach to customer service. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to work with Avory. However, I continually observed her performance with other customers while I was working with Rashonda. Avory genuinely seemed happy to be working there and always verbally welcomed guests as they entered the office. Other staff appeared to have a perfunctory "just going through the motions" attitude about their work. I am rating this office three stars, rather than only two stars, because everyone seemed to be technically competent in their trade. Thus, if you care only about technical proficiency, then this office is fine. But if you're like me and you want not only technical competence from your eye doctor experience, but a friendly, engaging interaction where you feel welcomed and glad you came, then I don't think the Pantops (Jefferson Parkwy) office is your best option. If you are lucky to work with Avory, then you should walk away feeling very pleased with your experience. Otherwise, with the other front staff, I recommend looking elsewhere. He was very nice. Charlotte helped me purchase frames and new lenses and helped set up an appointment for me to try contacts. She was totally fabulous, extremely helpful and very nice. I can't say enough how wonderful their staff is! I have been a long time customer of visionworks on barracks and think they also have great customer service but my eye dr really went above and beyond and I think I'll be coming back for my glasses in the future. When cataract surgery was prescribed to correct vision in both eyes, I was hesitant. Dr. Page thoroughly explained the procedure and lens options. Her staff was extremely helpful in setting up the surgery dates, follow-up appointments, and even provided a referral for transportation to and from the surgery site. The surgery was easier than expected and the result an absolute miracle. Driving at night is now a pleasure as well as no longer needing to wear glasses!
