They secured a builders permit, but the last step in the process for a CO is a final inspection - they never took care of that. What would have cost $100 at the time winds up costing over $1000 when you find out it wasn't done and you need to take care of it before selling your house. Pro Tech is an oasis in the desert of incompetent pool repair companies on the north shore of Long Island. However, they require that they keep the credit card number of their customers on file, a policy that originally gave us pause, but it turns out that they are very trustworthy and good at communicating clearly what their charges are. Also, rather than giving you a precise time they will come, they give you a range of dates (4-5) that they will visit and then a day before they specify a two or three hour range of possibilities. Prices at the high end of market. We've found however, that they are well worth the extra cost.

Luckily another pool guy who couldn't fix the issue recommended I check for a Hayward technician. So I saw them on the Hayward website! The owner Clinton answers and I sent a video of the issue and he gave me a quote immediately! That shows they are not bluffing and are highly experienced. Then he sent a tech Niko out today who is very knowledgeable and fixed my issue immediately, also gave me some more pool tips. I highly recommend! This is the pool company of my dreams! Found company on-line and called up owner Evan and he agreed to come over and open pool. Started…read morejob on Saturday May 30th , worked for 2 hours and said he would be back on Sunday the 31st or Monday the 1st to finish job. Spoke Monday to which he stated that he couldn't make it on Monday, could he come back on Tuesday for which I replied yes, that would be fine. Between Tuesday and Thursday of that week, I texted or called him a dozen times. he replied to me once that he got busy and couldn't make it over. I tried to contact him a couple of times' thereafter, to no avail. He only took cash, so I have no receipt for his work. So for 230$, I got a half opened pool for an open house with a green pool. My mistake for letting this scammer con me into paying him upfront. Do not let it happen to you. Had to pay another guy the same amount to open pool. He is a smooth talker who will show you pictures of the pool he allegedly put in the Hamptons. You can see it on his website. Good Luck if you choose to use this guy. Sleazy operator.
