He called them Wednesday, Thursday, and finally Friday afternoon before the shop closes, bc Patrick doesn't actually follow up with you unless you call. Told him it was ready and the bill was $948.88. Drove it home and he still noticed the knocking sound. Saturday morning it seemed worse. Unfortunately his work hours rotate so he wasn't able to take the car in until Wednesday; today. Luckily the shop, Brothers Alignment were able to help us. They fixed the issue under 2 hours and for $246.49. My husband is not big on complaining. However, I call it like I see it. The only amazing thing about this shop is the level of incompetence, no customer service, no actual mechanical service, and the price they charge for not fixing the problem. Their front door says it all with their triple B business rating and ASE certified mechanics. They also do a multi point inspection to make sure everything else is functioning. One thing that was pointed out, which I already knew about, was the fact that I had a torn CV boot that needed to be replaced. Since the CV joint had lost all the grease, it was also best to replace the whole axle which doesn't add that much to the price since most of this is labor. As a result, I made an appt and came back a few days after the oil change and had that repaired. I was pleased to see on the invoice that I am a gold VIP member which means I received an additional discount. I also appreciate the 36 month/36,000 mile warranty which dealerships often do not have. As someone who owns four cars, they'll be seeing me again at some point.

They also claimed there was a leak in the system and that these parts needed to be replaced yet they did not recommend any diagnostic procedure to pinpoint the root cause. He is assuming that it needed to be replaced without performing any technical, visual, or mechanical diagnostic procedures. He recommended all of this while still sitting at his chair. The cost will be at 2264.77 Despite telling me the compressor was not working and the condenser was leaking; they still charged me for the refrigerant recharge. It makes no sense to charge a system with refrigerant if you believe the compressor is not functioning or the condenser is leaking. Major issues should be addressed before adding refrigerant. I paid the $311.22, but I have serious doubts that the service was actually performed. I am deeply disappointed. In my view, the way this business operates is unethical, and practices like this will cause them to lose credibility.

I swear half the vehicles in that shop arrive after being spiritually wounded somewhere else. Other mechanics will look at your engine like medieval doctors diagnosing ghosts. Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. And here's the wild part: he's honest. Like deeply, suspiciously honest. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. The customer service feels less like a business and more like your truck wandered into a monastery where everyone took vows of kindness and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile other shops are out here playing roulette with socket sets: "Hmmm yes, perhaps your issue is... all of the parts."
