I've done a lot of baking and have some experience with different versions of buttercream frosting, and the frosting on my cake tasted like it was made mostly with shortening rather than butter. I know to get a white white frosting, shortening will often be mixed with butter, but the flavor should still be good, and this just wasn't tasty like I was expecting for a cake at the price that I paid. I will try them again for other items from the cafe, or cookies etc, but not another filled cake.

After the wedding, the groom and I took the six huge boxes of leftover food from dinner and gave them to a homeless man on a bench on S. Congress on our way back to our hotel, but we refused to share the cake. They have regular-sized donuts, donut holes, kolaches, and mini-donuts. Another specialty is their glazed yellow donut (color from fresh eggs). Yeast-risen donuts. The double chocolate (cake style) mini-donut is my favorite. The bakery offers walk-up window service as well as drive-thru. They get really busy and are open 4:30 am-6:30 pm.
