Very spacious open new york style Cafe in downtown area of jersey city. It's clean and open inside with plenty of seating. The prices are decent given the area and the staff is pleasant . There's wife and bathrooms and handicap accessible I ordered the iced pumpkin spice latte and it was 5/5 very delicious and tasty. For food I got the breakfast burrito and meh wasn't to impressed. The ratio of potato to guac, sour cream and eggs is completely off with little to no flavor. There was so much potato in it every bite was potato lol would not recommend if you don't love potatoes like that. I would go back to try their other menu items just to see if there's something I like that suits my taste buds still I recommend it if you're in the area

We absolutely love this spot. Everyone who works here is always friendly and helpful. So far our menu favorites are the veggie omelette, veggie burger, parfait, and original bibimbap bowl. The cafe itself is a great space to work, read, or catch up. The lighting is bright and natural with many live plants. It's not too loud, dark, or cramped like some other coffee shops.

This was our first stop when we moved back to the area. We were sent here on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The eggs and bulgogi dish was incredible!! It's reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The space is really nice and relaxing and clean. We love it here. Their menu is extensive too and lattes are so good!

The California sandwich (grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, avocado on fresh bread) + House Salad only $13.95. Very tasty!

Excellent prices, portions, menu selection, and quality of ingredients. Clean, natural lit space with a relaxing vibe. Friendly service, daily specials, and A+ coffee (I had cold brew). Street parking down the street if lucky.

Friendly and helpful team. Great food for a reasonable price. Spacious cafe that's great for studying, working or hanging out with friends. I've been to this place several times during my short stay in the neighborhood. The only constructive feedback I have would be to pay more attention to how takeouts are packed, especially if there's sauce involved because the sauce in my bao leaked through the cracks of the container and got all over my paper bag. This wouldn't have happened if the container was packed vertically instead of horizontally in the bag. Overall the food and service are great and I'd visit again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Every neighborhood needs a friendly coffee/brekky spot and this new cafe definitely fits the bill. My boyfriend and I have been anxiously waiting for the opening of Cafe Lafayette and every time I stay over we would walk past to see when the brown paper in the windows would be gone. So I'm happy to say that they just had their soft opening this past week and so far it's delicious with really friendly staff. Right now for soft opening they're open 8-4 but I'm guessing that will change. The menu boasts handcrafted signature coffee blend, Cafe Lafayette, with a variety of milk choices to fit different diets. The food options are heavy on breakfasts with a large selection of egg sandwiches, open face toasts, fresh smoothies, pastries, and omelets. But they also have sandwiches, salads, and some signature items with rice bowls and tacos. There is definitely a nod to Korean/Asian fare with bulgogi tacos, Asian noodle soups, fried dumplings, and even bibimbap! We had the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and the bulgogi beef bowl. Both were bursting with flavor and large portioned. I also had an oat milk latte which was was great. One minor issue was they came with white rice when it said brown but it was so tasty we didn't care. There's also a small selection of to go snacks like chips and bottled tea/juice. Overall I was surprised st the large and diverse menu. Go support local JC and check them out. Welcome to the neighborhood, CL. We're so glad you're finally here :]

I love their French toast. I always get "The Works." The egg sandwiches are great too.

If you been rocking since 1919, mi amor, I **have** to come see what's going on. That alone made me wanna pull up And let me tell you... I walked from Jersey City Heights down to downtown -- not a bad walk at all, un chin de cardio before breakfast . Real "treat yourself, mi amor" type of morning. Soon as I walked in... BABYYYY I felt like I got teleported straight into a little Italian market Shelves full of Italian goodies -- pastas, oils, snacks... I was like *yo quiero todo esto* It was giving *ciao bella, benvenuti, mangia mangia* vibes all day. The staff? Súper nice. No attitude, no rush -- just good energy. I told them it was my first time and asked what they're known for, and they really put me on No gatekeeping over here. My husband got the #7 (on a roll) I got the #8 (on a bagel) We sat outside and did what married people do... switched sandwiches halfway Now listen... mine was good -- turkey, egg, pesto... she was cute, she had flavor, estaba bien ‍ BUT HIS?! Ese sándwich estaba otro nivel. I don't know if it was the roasted peppers or what but *Dios mío*... delicioso, chef's kiss Only thing? Next time I'm switching my bagel for a roll porque ese pan estaba hitting different. The roll? Soft, fresh, perfecto. Also... let me tell you about the BACK They got frozen pastas, little Napoli-style dishes, a whole meat section that looked crazy fresh, and you can order cold sandwiches too. Esto no es solo un deli -- it's a whole Italian experience, okurrr. And yes... it's a *little* pricey, no te voy a mentir. Pero honestly? You get what you pay for. Calidad, sabor, vibes -- todo está ahí. I skipped the coffee porque estoy tratando de behave con el budget but next time? And I'm coming back for that banana pudding porque I'm obsessed no shame. They got a little patio if you wanna sit, or you can take your food to the park and have a whole picnic moment. Real main character energy. Ponte linda, grab your sandwich, and just vibe out. Overall? 5 stars Good food, good vibes, buena gente. CARGIANO'S said "treat yourself" y yo dije... say less

Turkey on the other one was cut thinly and very fresh. Bread was outstanding, we'll be back next time we're in the area.

They (still) fax their daily specials to our office and it always looks pretty darn enticing. Two visits spaced a few years apart and... it's a decent deli, but for such a massive space it sure feels like they don't have enough. On my most recent visit I'd asked for hot sausage and they seemed almost confused and pushed soppressata instead. (Maybe that's my fault that I'm coming too early before they have a chance to fill up the cases?) There's a big "Tavola Calda" for the hot (prepared) meals/specials (that they hype up via their daily faxes). People behind the counter are friendly. Parking lot in the back. Decent pricing. In the center there's plenty of tables (I'm not sure if it's technically a 'restaurant' as well?). On my initial visit the lot across the street was completely empty/barren/abandoned.
