One of my first priorities when in a new city is to find a delicious breakfast, so I hopped on Yelp and was intrigued by Toasty Sandwich Shop. I thought about just getting DoorDash, but I figured I had a rental car and the Google map said parking was "easy," so I drove over. Parking was not exactly "easy," but I did find a metered spot not far from the entrance. I do think DoorDash is the way to go here, as there isn't a ton of space to dine in. The menu includes several breakfast options as well as sandwiches, salads, burgers, and smoothies. Everything sounded really tasty. I ordered the AM snooze wrap and a latte. It took a bit for the food to be ready but it was freshly made, hot, and wrapped well for the short drive back to my hotel. The wrap has scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, American cheese, and "secret sauce." It was a generous portion and I had half leftover for the following morning. This wrap was everything I want in a breakfast - portable, easy to eat, cheesy, salty, delicious. Loved it. Do not order coffee - the "latte" just tasted like bad gas station coffee, but the wrap totally made up for that. If I lived in the area, I would probably order from this spot all the time. read more

Pros: Burgers are really good and the other sandwiches/wraps are great too. lots of flavor. Price is solid too. Cons: Salad was a bit soggy. If they served the dressing on the side, that would be better. Some of the sandwiches/wraps can be a bit salty at times. Service is quite slow so I'd recommend calling ahead to order. Takes 30+ minute for bigger orders. Overall great food at a good price. Highly recommend! read more

Grabbed takeout from Toasty Sandwich. Took about 20 minutes for three sandwiches, which felt a bit long, but they were clearly busy and understaffed. Parking wasn't too bad. The El Dictator with turkey and honey mustard was my favorite (even if my son stole the bacon), the pastrami melt was my son's pick, and my friend loved the Lady Lover with chicken and veggies. Solid sandwiches all around -- I'd stop by again if I'm nearby. We came after visiting the Hudson River Museum. read more

Super random find on my part! But was excited to try something new! I have never heard of this place before but it seemed new! The owners were very friendly as soon as we walked in. My partner had questions about some of the menu items which they answered patiently. They have a whole wall of chips it's insane! The food options are very extensive so I will be back to try more. I got the Snooze AM breakfast wrap which I loved. Super good sauce that has just the right amount of spice. My partner got the freaking French toast breakfast sandwich. He liked it but also thought it was a bit too sweet, but I told him it was gonna be sweet LOL he doesn't listen. Outside it seems little out of place. I would picture this place in a nicer area but it's very cute. Cute inside very cleans and fun! Love the decor and the fun colors. Some indoor seating which is nice too. Anyways we will be back! 1/31/24 I Went in to order two sandwiches, one a turkey and cheese and a roast beef and cheese. The lady behind the counter took over 6 min to take my order, continuously repeating the wrong order back to me. When she finally got it right, it took another 12 minutes to make simple sandwiches. Not worth the wait or aggravation. I asked for a refund I wanted to leave being in there so long. The worker called the manger who denied me my refund. We've actually never been into the shop, but we've ordered quite a bit from them. We are huge fans of their chopped cheese, they're toasty avocados sandwich, BLT and their bacon, egg and cheese as well. We've had their iced coffees which go nicely with the sandwiches that we've ordered. We've also had their fries, although there seems to be an inconsistency between what type you get sometimes you get the thin shoestring fries or sometimes you get steak fries. My son has also had their mozzarella sticks which she loves because they aren't oily at all, but they are super crispy. read more

I passed by this restaurant recently and decided to stop by. I don't know if the restaurant is new or not but can I say it is one of the cleanest little spots I've ever been to. The floors were immaculate, the shelves are neatly loaded with all types of goodies and the place is airy. There are a couple of seats if you want to eat in the restaurant but overall I was impressed with the decor. Now onto the food...... I ordered a chopped cheese sandwich since that's all the rage now with an order of French fries. What I liked was that it was cooked to order and was nice and hot when I got home. Both the sandwich and fries was really good and the sandwich was big enough that I was able to have one half for the next day. This is a review on toasty coffee. All the coffee served here is one star. I still left them 3 stars because I don't want to hurt their business, but all of their coffee served here is terrible. It taste like water and the price for their coffee selections are premium. You are better off firing up the Keriug at home than purchasing any coffee offered here. Went here today and got a "magic chopped cheese" on a hero. $13 for the most regular sandwich I've ever had. This sad which was a like a girl who didn't get picked for prom. My husband and I visited for lunch on day one while in town for a few days. We were both so happy with our sandwiches. I ordered the California Love and it was sooo good. We also split the fries with cheese and bacon. AMAZING! The fries could be a meal on their own...huge portion. The person working was great! If you care about quality food, DO NOT by all means go here to eat. The place is always super hot with no AC, the boss is never there and treats his employees like crap. There's only one female chef who knows what she's doing and they have her sitting behind a grill all day with no fan or AC and they treat her like crap too. Everything is mostly expired and they don't really care about the customers. Food is horrible quality for them to be as expensive as they are. Workers get paid below minimum wage and are treated like slaves. You're better off eating at rundown gas station than this place!! read more
