I call back at 7:04 "The driver is on the way give him 6 minutes" NO SHOW I call back 7:17 "Ma'am he's on the way" Me: 2"You said that at 644" Him: "I thought he left. He didn't he's at your place now" NO show I call back at 7:30 FIVE times. No Answer On the 6th call I told them to cancel my order. "Okay we'll cancel". Totally unapologetic and aloof. How do you have someone waiting for an hour and a half and continue to LIE! Terrible service for "just ok" pizza. This place is TRASH. read more

Seen a few reviews on this so I took a trip last week...specifically for the oxtail pizza. Ordered a large and it did not disappoint. The bread and crust was light and the oxtail was cooked perfectly. The only negative I would say was that I did get a bone from a piece of oxtail. read more

My mom and I tried the jerk chicken and half oxtail pizza, I think this is definitely the best pizza I've had in my life, soo full but I can't stop eating. Just as we were wrapping it up, we received a call back from the owner asking how was the food. I've never had that before, that made me feel even better about spending our money, and a guarantee to spend more. ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE! All I can imagine at the moment is that this place is trying very hard to go out of business. Everything about ordering from them is ridiculously difficult. They have multiple websites and the links on none work. Service when picking up, or, heaven help us, ordering in person, is appalling! They're also out of the most basic of menu items. I'm too upset about my experience with them today-which resulted in NOTHING-to talk about it, but... Last time, I called in my order and when I got there, at the appropriate time, they had forgotten to put my order in, but failed to mention that, so I stood waiting in their tiny, over-crowded space with no seats for close to half an hour. (It was raining hard, so maybe 20 of us were packed in there.) Had I been told it would be 25 minutes, not two, I could have done other things with that time or at least waited in my car, but, I discovered this only after the over long and uncomfortable wait. Full disclosure...I am a bit picky when it comes to pizza. I didn't know what style is thinner than Chicago, thicker than NYC, and has good balance of cheese, sauce and toppings. We tried the oxtail pizza but as a foodie I found the crust to be very sweet...Seminole perhaps on the crust. It also took an extremely long time to get our order. I would give them another try with the jerk chicken maybe that would balance out the sweetness of the crust. read more

I waited over an hour and a half for my order. I got here right at 11 when they opened. They were dishonest about the 30-40 minute wait time the order being completed and multiple orders were completed before my order was done. I ordered their "famous" oxtail pizza and shrimp/salmon toppings. When I asked about my order after waiting for an hour, the skinny black Muslim guy behind the counter caught an attitude and said the order would be ready in 10 minutes. He also made it a point to say he was Muslim and he wasn't "trippin" off of the $30 I paid for the pizza. (I guess he was offended that I held him accountable to the time he gave me.) During my now hour and a half wait I counted 16 orders finished and picked up before my pizza order was placed in my hand.They completed and large order of about 5 pizza's to a school before mine was finished. I made it a point to mention this when I asked about the wait time and he said "that order had nothing to do with my order." I also asked what time they started taking orders and he said 11am. There is no way that is possible when I walked into the place at 11 and there was only one person in front of me. In addition I did not hear him take many orders starting at 11 before I I was sitting right there listening to folks calling after 11 o'clock. Things to expect when patronizing this business. 1. Attitude by the cashier and skinny Muslim guy at the front. 2. If you plan on coming in to the location between 11-12, expect the cooks and extra hands to arrive around 12 noon. Meaning it's very likely that they do not prep any food before the 11 o'clock start time. 3. The fat black guy behind the register is cool but will evil stare at u in frustration for sitting in one of the 4 chairs in front of the store window. That man was not welcoming at all and looked like he wanted to kill somebody (must have been having a bad day) 4. Expect there to be at least an hour wait on any food ordered before 3 o'clock. This was told to me by the nice lady waiting near the corner by the liquor store right next to the location. 5. The pizza is expensive and not nearly as good as Ledo's Don't believe the hype!!!! I always order for delivery the pizza and the buffalo wings with sides of onion rings. Delivery is prompt and the food is delicious. The owner, Shahhir is awesome, friendly and very professional. Just last night I ordered the wings and onion rings again. Delicious. His delivery driver, Mohammed (spelling) even helped me with my outside porch light that had a short in it. It's my fault. Red flags meet you at the door. It's dirty and the men behind the counter don't wear masks or gloves. They have a sign that directs everyone to wear a mask...My common sense said leave but I wanted wings and fries. Pay for the food and head home. Whenever fries are in the car one can't help tasting a few. DISGUSTING! They were obviously twice cooked fries. Hard and old tasting. The wings had freezer burn. White spots. I called to complain and the guy says they always cook the fries fresh. He just cooked them too long. I show him the freezer burns on the chicken. He tells me it can't be freezer burn because they don't keep chicken in the freezer. So where are they keeping the chicken? I've been cooking since I was 12. This man lies like a Persian rug. i have been a customer for almost 20 yrs. right after they changed ownership, it went downhill fast. I would place an order and it would take hours to get to me. after a few years I decided to try them again to see if the new owners had figured it out. Nope. I ordered a pizza for delivery at 4:16pm. called them at 5:16 and they said it was just coming out of the oven and would be there in 10 minutes. called again at 6:16. Its now 6:30 and still no pizza. Ordered a medium pizza with onions, ham, and green peppers from them--wanted to try something different on the cheap takeout pizza realm from Boli's. And? Today's Pizza certainly isn't bad, but Boli's is the same price and is a step better in terms of taste. There really just isn't much taste there. The toppings seem fresh enough, and I was more than full with 2 slices left--but meh, it was just okay. Obviously you're not stacking places like Today's and Boli's against Menomale, 2 Amy's, and the other high end "pizze" in DC. But on days where only the cheap, greasy, takeout pizza will do the trick--this place gets the job done, but is a not below Pizza Boli's. read more

the establishment is way to small ! when you first enter it's packed with people & you're literally standing on someone's back waiting to order. once you order your food, please know that the oxtail is limited so if you come when they run out you'll have to wait 1 hr to 1hr30mins for the oxtails to be DELIVERED! then wait for them to prepare it .... the over all wait time i feel isn't worth it at all. i had the jerk chicken pizza because they were out of oxtails of course and i feel like it was very over hyped . i'd give the pizza a 6/10 & the customer service a 4/10 . read more

When you eat something this monstrously unhealthy, you at least want it to taste good. The veggie pizza was a disaster: The cheese fell off the crust when I picked up a slice; it was so soggy that I could literally wring out the water; and the crust was underdone and floppy. Completely flavorless. On the plus side, the delivery guy was pleasant. Conclusion: These guys have no business making pizza. I would have been more satisfied with a slice of dry toast. For value this is about as good as it gets in DC, on the pizzaflavor-per-dollar-per-hurry scale (pat. ped). Sure Paradiso and Rustico and other high-brow pizza is "better", but their draw is part expensive or even overpriced pizza and part beer selection, to me. If you want a really good generic pseudo-NY pie for cheap and quick, go here. A bit greasy on the bottom, but also crisp, and the sauce blends well to the top side of the crust. The cheese itself isn't too greasy and well distributed. I recommend one or two toppings since more probably disturbs the fragile cheap-pizza balance. I got GP and yeah. Tasty. The sauce is a little sweet for my preference, but it's is the closest to my house (literally a 3 min walk) so I can't complain. Their onion rings are delicious, although since they're huge, there's only like 4 rings in a side order...definitely order 2 sides if you want for a group. I will never forget the first time I went to Today's Pizza. I am so glad it was today's and not yesterday's. I was enamored by the previous reviews and felt the need to review as well. We are staying down the road at a B&B so we have tried it when we wanted delivery a couple of times and have been satisfied both times. We ordered the thin crust pizza and they definitely have a good amount of topics and the sauce is quite tasty. My wife has had the fried chicken and she said it was good for a take out/delivery place. I've also stopped in for a gyro which was acceptable for a non-greek place. Give them a try. read more

They cheated me and charged me MORE!!! I placed an online order that was $35.37. When I got there the order was $41.07. I was like... wait, why did you charge me for this extra topping? And then they are like... "oh my bad, here is a refund in cash." Then I said that these prices seemed higher than was I was quoted when I put my order in. I thought it was going to be like $35 or $37. But I didn't have the receipt in front of me. After going home, I compared the two. They charged me as a delivery, not pick up, and they charged me extra for wings. I wonder how many people they doing this to.
