California Sourdough makes the best toast! Great grilled cheese sandwiches too. Love the chewiness and flavor of the bread and the crunchiness of the toast. The Whole Grain High Fibre is also delicious. Don't feel as guilty having my morning, noon and night bread fix! Bought a loaf of low carb high fiber bread. For low carb dieters this is a great choice. Had a slice toasted with butter and I am hooked. Until I can figure out how to make lo carb bread at home that tastes as good as this, I will continue to buy. Plus the price is right! read more

Their cinnamon raisin bread is sooo delicious! Toasted, it's heavenly. Problem is: they don't always stock that in the store. If they did, we would buy a loaf every week. Their challah bread, both plain and with raisins are great. My husband uses this for his sandwich with turkey slices every single day. I always hope to find it in the store. I recently purchased a loaf of Today's Temptations marble pound cake loaf from my local Jewel. First off, NO chocolate marbling, second, this loaf was SO dry it was like eating baked cardboard and thirdly after taking a bite I crunched down on an egg shell. I'm writing this in response to Mr. Bodybuilder's review. The FDA letter is simply a matter of semantics when it comes to labeling, and if the people complaining about it who were giving the bread bad reviews had even bothered to read it maybe they would know that. (Ex. the bread says fat free but there is a half gram of fat per serving). He also thinks that a slice of bread should weigh more than 28 grams (1 ounce) and thinks that you should multiply everything on the label by 4 if having one slice of bread. I'm not sure what world he lives in or maybe he needs to ramp up his bodybuilding but I've never had a 4 ounce slice of bread, which would be a quarter pound of bread... maybe math is not his strong suit. In the interest of confirming, and since I've been working out in the realm of bodybuilding for 10 years, just to be sure, I weighed a slice of bread on my food scale, because that's what someone interested in bodybuilding does. What did I find? It weighed exactly 1 ounce. Now being somewhat of a health food nut myself, I thought the bread seemed too good to be true in terms of nutritional content, but myself going on and off low-carb diets, one can tell you the sure fire way of knowing if you're depleting yourself of carbs is testing for ketones... needless to say I can eat several pieces of this bread a day and stay in ketosis. The bread itself tastes like less-than bread. It still fixes any cravings I have, and can eat turkey sandwiches, tuna melts, have toast with my breakfast, etc. and still be low-carb. It is a little dry, and that's to be expected. If you want low-carb, or just want to be healthier altogether, this bread definitely fits the bill. Whole food plant based bread! Yes! I was so excited to check the ingredients and see there was no milk, eggs, sugar, or bleached and enriched flour. And it tastes amazing, like you would not know it is vegan whole grain bread. We got the sour dough and Italian and we are so excited we can eat bread that is healthy for our diets. The two stars is for the consumer experience, not the taste of the bread. Their California Sourdough is excellent, when I am able to enjoy it. Very oftentimes though, I am not. I have bought their products at various outlets, and it has happened at all of them. There is sometimes condensation on the bag when I buy it, which says to me that they just don't care enough to let the bread cool sufficiently before bagging it. Inevitably those loaves have mold growing all over them before the best by date-even when refrigerated. I've even tried opening the bag when I got home & wiping the moisture out, to no avail. Another thing that has happened a bunch of times is that I will start the loaf and discover that there are some major holes running through almost the entire loaf, making the bread unusable (see pictures). It's too bad, because when there is actually bread to eat (no holes), and I can eat it (no mold), the stuff is really good. read more

Purchased their California Sourdough Bread at Fresh Farms at the corner of Milwaukee Ave. and Dundee Road in Wheeling. Wow really really good. I have tried to buy this at other times and they are sold out so best to get to the store early. Worth the trip simply for some great bread made fresh without any yeast or preservatives. read more

Unfortunately, my loaf of bread had what appears to be bits of plastic baked into it, very gross. Anyway, put the pieces of plastic in a baggie & called the company on Monday to let them know. Explained what I found to whoever answered their phone and they took my number and said someone would be getting back to me. No one ever called, geeze I just wanted my $4.00 back, thanks for nothing Today's Temptation and I will never buy your bread again! read more

Purchased the Whole Grain Lo-Carb and can't eat the bread due to large holes in the middle. I see from other reviews that this is not a new problem and the bakery has not taken steps to correct. This has happened twice, and it will not happen again. My advice is don't buy it. read more

I just purchased a loaf of the German Rye (they also had Lithuanian Rye) at Jerry's, Niles, Il. It is excellent! They had it placed on the lower two shelves and it wasn't moving. The more inferior breads were on the top shelves. read more

The only reason I give them a one star is the false advertising on the nutrition label. As a diabetic and a Weight Watcher, I was so happy to find a bread that tasted awesome, yet was healthy. Low calorie, low carbs and great taste. The Crunchy Grain bread fit the bill. I had been telling all of my friends about the crunchy grain and even brought eight loaves down to my daughter's Mother in law in Indiana. My cousin showed me the label from her "crunchy bread" and it was much higher in calories and carbs. The UPC code was the same and both had the same phone number on it. I called and was told they were aware of the issue and they used the wrong information on the template. I have been buying this bread for MONTHS! All along, I was taking in way more calories and carbs than I should have. The woman I spoke with said the bread was recalled. I asked how the consumers were made aware of this situation. They were not, the drivers just pulled the bread off the shelves that had the wrong label on them. Very disappointing way to handle this situation. read more

The Whole Grain, Lo Carb/Hi Fiber bread is fantastic. I was wondering if the nutritional facts were accurate, especially for the middle slices. They're HUGE!! I love their Sour Dough Bread! It is one of their better ones! Yummy!

As someone who suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, this bread is about as good as it gets. Dave's Killer Bread was the only other item that didn't give me major allergic reactions, but it's been bought out by a large company that's pro GMO, so I don't trust it to be as pure as it was. This brand, Today's Temptation, doesn't cause the allergic reactions I get from normal bread. My only other option was to make my own bread. Because of time restraints, that's not always possible. Fair Play in Oak Lawn carries an extensive selection of their items. It's the only location I've found on the southwest side that does. Purchase the bread, Bavarian Pretzel buns, and dinner rolls. They're worth the price and you won't be sorry. Those who suffer from unexplained abdominal bloat, and think your bread consumption might be the cause should check out this brand. Those on here giving negative reviews are full of crap. read more
