I've been going to Todd for over 20 years. I love the quality of the Zeiss lenses and the beautiful tortoise shell frames I have for both my regular glasses and sunglasses. Both of them are from in his own line of Todd Rogers glasses. They really fit my personality and make me feel stylish. But, besides the excellent quality of his glasses, is the way he treats his customers. He gives everyone his special attention and has such and expertise in fitting you in the frames that it's amazing! Also his warmth, compassion and humor put you at ease. And he absolutely stands behind his work. Customer service is king and if you want the extra TLC, I highly recommend Todd. Don't be fooled into getting the cheapest glasses you can find. Had an eye exam with Dr Glynn. Thought she was great- uses new technology so no dilating of the eyes. Shows you the back of each eye and takes you through everything very thoroughly. Dr. Glynn is very friendly but should NOT BE TRUSTED. She has a huge conflict of interest; her main interest being to sell glasses. She has prescribed full time wear glasses to my very young child who has no vision symptoms. This seemed odd to me so I went for a second opinion to an ophthalmologist who said that my child DOES NOT NEED GLASSES. This is unacceptable and unethical to prescribe glasses to individuals who do not need them! In addition, the the check in lady Debbie is very rude and there was no attempt to maintain social distancing at the shop. read more

I was tired of the usual dry and clinical visits to he local mall store and was referred to Andover Eye Care by friends. I was blown away by the care and attention given as well as by the friendliness of the staff. Todd himself is very present in the store and was happy to take time to make recommendations and suggestions. Christine did a great job with my fitting and I left feeling like had not just gotten an exam and new glasses but that I had made new friends in the process. This establishment brings back that small-town feel of getting to know you, giving honest feedback and advice, and treating you fairly on price when it comes time to pay. My husband & I have been looking for a new eye dr, because we feel that Tallman Eye has become much like an assembly line. We felt like numbers there, rather than human beings. Boy did we find the total opposite of that here. Kasha, the first point of contact, Dr. Glynn, Kate Olsen, who adjusted both my frames for me (and was meticulous) and of course, the owner, Todd Rogers were all extremely welcoming and also knowledgeable & professional. We were not rushed. We didn't get any "hard sell" tactics, just good & thorough information. They have the latest equipment & technology (no more dilation, yay!) & a beautiful office with lots of great options for frames. I took my 8 year old son here before he starts third grade to get an eye exam from Dr. Charlene Glynn. She made the exam as stress free as possible to a kid who's never had one. I had a terrific experience at Andover Eye Care. I was very impressed by Dr Glynn. I felt like her care, attention to detail and bedside manner were off the beaten path of what I had come to expect from my previous provider. I came to AEC seeking contact lenses and new glasses. I had the great fortune to have a "contact lens class" with Todd. I know this will sound stupid, but I had a blast clumsily jabbing my fingers into my eyes for about 90 minutes with Todd. It is clear that he cares about his business and his brand, but this is a guy who loves what he does. Todd spent a lot of time getting to know me. He engaged with me like a customer that he wanted to have as a friend. He really cares about the experience people have when they walk into his business, and he really gets that every person that walks out of there does so with his brand on their face. He explained everything to me, recommended a few pairs of glasses, quickly got to me a place where I was torn between three pairs that all seemed great. I left there feeling like I had purchased a quality product that reflects who I am. I also felt like the people with the most experience, the doctors, really took care of me. I didn't feel like I got passed from reception, to a tech, to the world's most boring doctor who could barely be bothered to deal with me. AEC is a revolution in the business of eye care. read more

Walked in today and was as happy as I can. Todd met me at the door and although I had not purchased my glasses there, he helped me out with an adjustment to the frame, and then handed me a new case for free to protect them. I went there last weekend for my yearly vision exam. The clinic is very clean and beautiful - great interior design. And Dr. Glynn was very nice and friendly. However, I will not be going there again because they obviously cater for the privileged customer - notice, I didn't say patient. Dr. Glynn asked me if I'd like to get a contact lenses prescription WITHOUT explaining to me that it may be an extra charge. This was my first time using my new employer's vision insurance and was not 100% of the coverage rate, which Andover Eye Care was aware of. So when I went to check out, I was told that my exam was for free because my insurance covers it 100%, but they charged me $85 for the contacts prescription, which was a big surprise to me. Why would they not tell me that BEFORE going ahead with the "procedure"? I told the receptionist it's unethical of them to not explain to their patients their insurance benefits before going ahead with any procedure, but she was very rude in her response to me and said they assume everyone knows their benefits. I told he she should never assume things like that, especially when insurance companies go out of their way to make their plans as complicated and difficult to comprehend as possible. I know this because I've worked with insurance companies before. And explained to her that it's the patient's right to be informed of things like this. And again, she wouldn't budge and kept saying "we assume you should know this." How rude? It's so discomforting to me that a health clinic would not make it one of its missions to be accommodating to people of all walks of life. What if one of their patients is illiterate and cannot read an insurance plan, or their English is not good enough? What if one of their patients did NOT have the means to pay $85 that morning? So disappointed in this experience because I really liked the clinic's vibe when I first walked into it and I really appreciated Dr. Glynn's treatment. read more
