They are literally my techie super heroes, and I can't speak highly enough of them. My drive was pulled off of my desk and dropped on hard wood floor, and I sent it in to a friend who recovers hard drives and it was out of his scope so he sent it to another data recovery place that was highly recommended. There were multiple problems, and it is a very complicated recovery, outside of a 24 hour deal, but I was still hoping for a relatively timely solution. My work is highly time sensitive and even one lost file is a huge problem, so I gladly paid to have this done. With the other company I was quoted 2 weeks, but fast forward FOUR weeks and they had given absolutely ZERO communication outside of the extremely vague "working on it, it's complicated." let alone any files. I took my drive back and brought it to 24 hour data and already had more updates and communication within 24 hours than I did in over a month with the other company, not to mention I GOT FILES BACK for the first of the four clients within THREE DAYS. They wanted to give me something to get started on while I wait for the rest, which they expect soon. Let me tell you, this means the world to me and I just want to shout it from the rooftops. They've been understanding and kind, and the most wonderful communicators every step of the way. Their customer service, professionalism, speed and mind reader abilities are the absolute best. For over a year, the screen had to be opened where you wanted it before you turned it on because if you moved the machine virtually at all and the screen jiggled it would lock up, necessitating a restart. Then, suddenly, it refused to boot up in any screen position. I brought it to PC Werx. The gentleman who came out to look at it plugged in a separate monitor and talked with me about his concerns and let me make the decision to not invest any more money in this one because the repair could easily be more expensive than the residual value of the machine. When he asked me if there was information on it that I needed to keep, that was a no, so, there was no urgent need to do anything with it. He mentioned a retailer that he has had good experience with and that happened to be where I buy virtually all computer related hardware, we shook hands and he said thank you. I mean, I'm sure he could have repaired my machine, but he gently let me know his suggestion is to spend my money on something that I'd get better service out of rather than into the one I've worn out.

After doing my own research, I decided that it would be best if I send in to a 'professional' to get it replaced and have the set up done. Once I got it back, everything ran considerably slower - The boot times went from a couple of seconds to 5+ minutes. I had to do my own research to discover that when they put in the new SSD, that was all they did. When they set up the new OS on my computer, they did not even bother to initialize the new SSD. That means that my computer was completely unaware that my SSD even existed. So for about 1.5 weeks, my computer has been running everything on the HDD, which even the most clueless of computer owners know is not right. It took me 30 seconds of googling to discover the proper procedure to follow in order to actually repair the issue from start to finish, and these guys managed to take about 2 weeks to do it, and they did it wrong. Find somewhere else to get your expensive electronics fixed, because these guys do not know what they are doing. Also the place reeked of sewage.

When that happens, you need to go see Rodi. I've got kids with laptops. That means that we've had drops, viruses, and all sorts of miscellaneous problems. Rodi fixes them all. Best Buy's geek squad will cost you twice as much for half the quality. Take it to Rodi. He'll fix it (sometimes right there while you wait) and his fees are always reasonable. Rodi also gives you advice on how to avoid the problem next time.
