PREDATORY PRICING!!…read more Asked for a quote to do a spark plug insert. They called, and initially tried to sell a new or reman head, not recommending the FACTORY Ford fix. I personally did the repair on the cylinder necessary, but followed up with asking for a quote to fix the rest. Was quoted almost double the dealer fix, with stipulations that I provide the parts and sealants necessary. STAY AWAY!!! Half the phone call was telling me not to trust other people in the Clarksville area because they're incompetent. I think homie needs to look in the mirror if he thinks he can charge almost double without providing anything but labor. Got a quote from a different mobile mechanic in Clarksville (with good reviews) to do a preventative insert repair for the remaining 7 cylinders for less than the cost of one single cylinder from Free Agent. I rarely post a review, but felt it necessary to warn anyone considering this company. Would give zero stars if I could. Edit: to address this laughable attempt to save face, going to respond point by point. 1. dealerships absolutely guarantee their work. Part of the reason to consider the dealer instead of some idiot mobile mechanic. 2. Your pricing is predatory bc you spent almost 20 minutes on the phone call telling me not to trust anyone else. Someone scared of losing their only vehicle may fall for this trap, it's unethical and a terrible business tactic. 3. Yes you work in the elements like anyone else who CHOOSES to do so. You can't charge more for having to deal with weather. Let alone not bringing tools, parts, sealants, anything but your hands. I did the job outside in the weather perfectly fine, no one is giving me any accolades for doing so. 4. Mobile mechanics have always charged less, that's the draw to use you instead of dealers. 5. Suggesting / insisting on a new head may give more assurance that the repair is solid, but is not necessary without attempting an insert, as that is THE FACTORY FIX. If you are too incompetent to do the job, just admit that. 6. To call yourself the Ferrari of mobile mechanics with one yelp review (probably from a family member or friend) is the best joke I've heard all year.

Highly recommend. Very knowledgeable and thorough! Usually responds immediately and will come to…read moreyou if needed.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!…read more This was the WORST experience that I have ever had with an auto mechanic. I was told it would take a couple of months to have my old car like new. I was excited. He wanted money up front which I thought was unusual for a reputable shop. I paid him the money anyway, thinking in a short time all would be well. The two months turned into ten with Fast Shop Auto blaming everything on the parts they had ordered. Finally he called and said it was ready. When I came down he told me that one installed new speaker was not working but he could fix it. They said that the problem might be a new wire or radio problem. He said, " I can fix it , but you will have to pay me to take the dash out again. You have enough money in your deposit to cover my labor." I said, "Let me get this straight, I paid you to fix my car the first time and you did not correct the problem. Now you want to charge me again to fix the problem that you did not fix the first time? No, just refund what is left of my deposit and I will take my car." His reply, "The contract states the money is nonrefundable." After some heated words he agreed to return what was left of my deposit. When I got the car home there was a large scratch on the hood of the car which I asked about and of course they said they did not do it. Also, the dash heating controls were incorrectly installed and a heating duct fell from under the dash on my way home. The defrost control responded to medium heat while the other controls were mixed up as well. I was told that the heating unit was bad, but it was obvious the vacuum tubes were attached incorrectly. Also, the eight track player had been disabled and it worked when the car entered the shop. It was difficult being almost eighty years old, but I corrected several of his blunders. I was not going to write a review due to one similar to mine was posted a few months ago. When double checking the name of the business for a friend to make sure he avoided Fast Lane Shop I noticed that the review had been taken down. So I decided to take the time and effort to write my review to see how long it will stay up. PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!!

I used Fast Lane to "repair" my 1968 Thunderbird, and by repair, I mean to eat up more than the…read more$6,000 total estimated price John gave me to make it run again and about 6 months later than the job was supposed to be finished to deliver a non-working car. I sincerely wished that my hot rod friends had not told me what a great job Fast Lane does, because my experience was John made promises of technical ability and completion time he just was not capable of meeting. If a mechanic doesn't have the time or expertise to do something, that's fine, but they need to be honest with their customers about it so they can go somewhere else. For the work that John sent to other shops (such as rebuilding the engine), that work was great. For work that John did himself (such as replacing the fuel tank), it was an amateurish mess. I supplied the replacement fuel tank, which he did not know how to install (just takes a simple connecting piece to fit), so he did a hatchet job of welding to make it fit. His welds were so terrible that the fuel tank leaked like a sieve, and when I took it to a Ford-certified Senior Mechanic (and note what certification John does or does not have on his walls), the new mechanic showed me the tank and the wounds on it from the terrible weld job. From the money John ate up while not delivering a functioning car and the money I had to spend to make up for his mistakes, I now want to get rid of a project car that I've loved for years. He'll kill your dreams, don't give him your money.
