After back to back travelling, work, and events, my body was aching so bad and needed something. I didn't need the whole relaxing spa experience, I just needed a fix for the pains. I looked all over yelp just for a regular reflexology place that does back and feet for a good price and stumbled on this place. To start, I wouldn't say this is the most relaxing place if you're looking for that. It's not a whole spa experience, but I think they try their best as possible? They still have the sounds of a waterfall and spa music, but also mixed with the sounds of the street if the door is open and people talking. "Massage" rooms are basically private by curtains so you can hear everything like the conversations happening at the front desk. I didn't mind though I just needed the massage. I did the 70 min combo reflexology which was 10 min foot bath, 20 min foot reflexology, 40 min back massage for $68. There's different combos for 70 mins with different prices. They give you a warm pad to go over your shoulders & upper back while you do the foot soak. The foot reflexology was sooo good, perfect pressure esp after being on my feet all day the past few weeks. The guy knew all the right pressure points and it relieved a lot of tension and aches. The back massage was good, although I probably should have said to go a bit softer but it hurt too good lol. If you don't like heavy or hard pressure, I suggest telling them bc this guy was going HAM. I usually like the feeling like I got beat up in a good way, but that's just me. He did tell me to let him know if the pressure was too much. At first I wasn't sure about the massage bc it initially felt like he was just putting pressure like kneading cpr on my back. He ended up going deep into the tissue and it hurt too good, I needed that from being so sore. This place is also combined with a nail shop, I didn't get to try it but there were a lot of people coming in for appointments for it. Overall, I would recommend this place. I ran to tell my bf that it's a good place to get reflexology and the price is right. Service is good as well, the lady in the front was nice and greeted when you come in and then when you finish. They also offered water or hot tea and a little snack. Parking is street parking, so good luck.

I came in for a reflexology massage and it was amazing! I'm a young woman and felt super respected and safe. It was extremely relaxing and you have plenty of options of how you can split your time during the massage. I would greatly recommend to bring some AirPods if you want an extremely quiet environment as there is some background noise but nothing bothersome. I'll be coming back to try a pedicure or deep tissue next!

Came here and got lucky because they were able to accommodate a regular manicure and a 30 min massage as a walk-in. My nails look amazing and the 30 min massage was heavenly- just the right amount of pressure on my back...it was perfect! I will definitely be back!

It's hit or miss- I have had some excellent foot massages and a neck/shoulder stretch here from an man named John, who is there part time. Other times I have had some painful massages- or lets say prodding- and tapping percussion from some of the younger staff. I am not convinced that all of them are reflexologists. They have, once upon my complaining to the front desk after clearly giving instructions to them to translate-that the masseuse didn't understand English or the words less pressure and ouch, gotten a slight discount afterwards. I have tipped each time, but that particular time I tipped less and they expressed deep disappointment. You and me both! I left feeling guilty for being in increased pain afterwards. I have had a decent pedicure here and enjoyed that- since they gave me a nice warm neck warmer and a foot soak and massage before it. They also have lots if great OPI colors to choose from. I have had mixed experiences, but I continue to return because they are accommodating on short notice, close to work and self care is important to me, and prices are decent for SF.

Scumbags! Gift certificate was deemed 'used' while it was still in my possession and not used by me. Lost $100.00 to cheaters!

I had the girls pick out my colors for both hands and toes. I told them I wanted natural, sheer and they did a good job!

They did a lovely job. So relaxing. I was able to walk in at 10:05am and get an appointment right away! Very sweet ladies and seems like a great location for massage as well!

Ask the Community - Toe-Asis Spa

Do the pedicures include good foot massage?

If you mean a ten-minute deep tissue massage, then no. However, my favorite part of the pedicure is that they give you a little rub down with warm lotion and knead each foot for a couple of minutes before using a hot towel to wipe off the excess…

Do they do prenatal massage?

i had a reflexology/back massage at 8 months- they accommodated me just fine!

Does this salon offer the full line of VINYLUX polish choices?

A lot of choices especially in Essie

When I sat down for the manicure and pedicure, I informed the person working on my toes that I tend to get ingrown nails. However, when she started trimming my big toe, she immediately cut too deeply into the side of the nail. It was very painful, and I said "ouch" right away. Her response was simply that she needed to cut my nails. I explained that it hurt and that I normally don't have issues during nail trimming, but she proceeded to do the same on the other toe. She did not apologize and then switched with another person to continue the service. I did appreciate the massage, which was done by someone else. Because of that, I still chose to tip, as I wanted to acknowledge the person who did the massage. When I got home, my big toe was still in pain, and I couldn't even wear closed-toe shoes. Additionally, my fingernails were poorly polished, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, despite the good massage, I would not return or recommend this place. I left with a painful toe injury, and overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

If you're getting the foot massage, make sure you wear bottoms that can be pulled up to your knees, because they also massage your calves. I didn't know this, but they had a pair of shorts I could change into, which was nice! If you are ticklish when getting a pedicure, this experience will be no different. I'm very ticklish during the foot scrubbing part and the scraping tool she used on the bottom of my feet felt good, but ticklish at the same time haha. Overall, it was a nice relaxing massage and my feet felt great afterwards. The street noise isn't that bad honestly, but if you're looking for a completely silent massage where you don't want to hear anyone else, then you'll need to go to a different business.

The prices here have gone up significantly over the past five years. A 60 minute foot reflexology is 55, and 70 minutes is $60. I recommend the 70 minute foot massage, which includes some attention to other areas of the body too. If you have a specific pressure preference, let the person on the phone know when you book your appointment, and remind the person at the desk once you arrive; that way they can pair you to the appropriate therapist, and you have a much better opportunity to get what you want. I had a session tonight with Allen, and he met my desired pressure needs well. I love a very deep massage. It was a great session all around. He targeted my areas well and was professional. This is one of my favorite places for foot reflexology in SF, and that's why I rate it five stars. Plan to tip them at least twenty percent. I tipped 28%. Note -- this is a reflexology place and not an upscale spa, so set your expectations appropriately. I feel much better after the massage.

Since this place had good reviews, I agreed, expecting a professional experience. However, throughout the massage, there was repeated touching and rubbing around my upper thigh area that felt completely unnecessary and made me very uncomfortable. What made it worse was the payment process at the end -- she stood right next to me watching while I selected the tip amount, which felt extremely awkward and pressured. Overall, the entire experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. I would not return.

I got the 70-minute combo massage, which includes both foot and back treatment. This occurs in the shared community space with clothes on. I was the only one there on a Saturday late afternoon, no other customers present during my session, and I'm pretty sure my masseur (possibly the owner) was the only worker on site. He had his phone closeby during the massage, which he checked once when it beeped. But he ignored it the rest of the time. Soft music played in the background, but all of the sounds from the street outside and through the walls could still be heard. I didn't mind, cuz the massage was really good which is what matters most to me. My masseur had a unique method of applying pressure and strength, using mainly elbows and knees on my back. Be aware that the back massage was done over a fairly thick sheet/blanket, but the pressure was deep enough to be effective. He was thorough, especially on my legs and feet. Targeted my hamstrings, shins, and outer muscles of the legs which is where I needed it most. The fast rubbing made me a bit numb, but when he slowed down, I was on cloud nine. And he applied pressure to all the right parts of each foot, too. None of it was painful. It didn't feel rushed either, so this place gives a true "foot massage". The guy was friendly, and prefers cash payments, but I only had enough cash for a tip. I was able pay with a credit card for the massage itself, with an additional $2 fee for the charge.
