I went into Sunny Days yesterday with three of my friends, and we left completely disgusted by the way we were treated. The two ladies at the counter never acknowledged us when we walked in -- no hello, no smile, nothing. They just kept talking to each other. When I looked at a pair of aviator sunglasses, I politely asked if they had any similar options with a bigger frame. They both looked at each other, exchanged an annoyed, almost disgusted expression, and one of them simply said "No." That was it. No attempt to be helpful, no suggestion of other styles, not even a basic courtesy response. My sister was on the other side of the store and witnessed the interaction too. We both left feeling unwelcomed, and honestly, we sensed prejudice in the way they handled us. I've never experienced that before, but it was very clear from their demeanor. We ended up leaving and walking into Stitch & Feather right down the street, and the difference was night and day. There, we were greeted warmly, offered champagne and water while we shopped, and actually felt appreciated as customers. Shopping should never feel uncomfortable or demeaning. Unfortunately, Sunny Days left us feeling exactly that way. I will not be returning, and I hope the store's management addresses the way their staff treat people. read more

Purchased a small had bag from this Sunny Days. It fell apart almost immediately. I tried to return/exchange it. They told me there was nothing they could do. Poor quality. Poor customer service. Clearly they don't stand behind their products. I would not shop there ever again. Can I give negative stars? read more

I just came here with my mom. We were excited because the clothes were similar to a store on Balboa Island. But the vibe was totally off. The whole time we were in the store, one staff member was following and watching us very closely with a scowl on her face. It was very uncomfortable. I watched her to see if she was doing it to any other customers, but it was just us. I don't understand why she felt the need to target us. read more

Yesterday my daughter and I visited the store in Laguna and liked a set of PJ Salvage pajamas. They did not have our size so they saved them for us at the Orange location. I also purchased a sweater of which they also held at the orange location because they didn't have my size. My daughter purchased an item at the Laguna location as well. My daughter picked up the items at the Orange location, brought them home and we tried them on. The pants fit so weird. I have sets of PJ Salvage and these were definitely "off." My daughter called to find out if she could return to just one location. They shared that they do not accept returns. Apparently it says so at the register and on the receipt. I spoke to the manager Grace who was apologetic but said there was absolutely nothing they could do except a store credit or exchange. If this is such a strict policy, I would suggest verbally notifying customers. I would have NEVER purchased something I did not try on had I known. Who reads the receipts before leaving the store? Or the sign at the register? This is super bad customer service. I suppose I will go back and spend my $300 whatever dollars. They do have cute stuff. But I will never, ever shop there again nor will my daughter and we could have been very good repeat customers. I would assume they must get a lot of complaints. Sunny Days, my guess is your "Days" are numbered if this is how you do business. read more

I really like their comfy lounge clothing.  Their prices are a little steep but I found 4 items on the sale rack on my first visit there. Unfortunately 2 weeks later the knit sweatpants by PJ Salvage started to unravel. I went to return them for credit but the manager (La Jolla location) would NOT return them!  First she said the store does not take back sale items.  And then she actually accused me of snagging them on something which was terribly offensive.   Unfortunately this store DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.   Nice clothing but POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Great selection and service! Fun to shop at. Balboa Island is always fun to visit if you can find parking.

This is such a cute shop. I stopped in with my friend and I already have a new favorite shop in Laguna Beach. The clothing, handbags and accessories are great. Cute the pinup girl art on the walls throughout the store are very tastefully displayed. If you like having unique finds Sunny Days is definitely worth checking out. read more

Used to love this store. Would visit every time we came to town. Bought dress for daughter that the strap broke off iphone first wearing. Staff at Laguna Beach store were terrible in handling this issue. Will never shop there again. It's truly a shame. Customer service is EVERYTHING and that staff doesn't get it. read more

My complaint is with the Sunny Days store in Manhattan Beach ( couldn't find a yelp page for that location) But... my complaint is similar to the other one-star reviews. Terrible customer service. Purchased a Wallaroo brand hat in the store.. got home and it was so toxic smelling we had to put it outside. Called the manager the next day and the reply was classic....Gee, no one else has ever mentioned that. Terrible customer service. Had to throw away the hat. $60 loss. read more

Do not shop here if you want a store that stands behind their merchandise and values customer loyalty. I have been shopping here for years, and I recently bought a dress here that I wore ONCE to the pageant. After this, I noticed it started ripping. Upon trying to return it (or even get it fixed), their answer was since I had purchased it more than 30 days ago, I was out of luck. I guess they are relying on tourists who will buy something and leave. Not the kind of shop that values or respects locals and not a store I want in my town. read more

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy shopping at Sunny Days in Laguna Beach. It is so much fun, the staff is always helpful and polite, the inventory is incredible! I don't think ever walked out of the store empty handed! I also wanted to mention the decor!
