I have been here 3 times. First experience was great. The kabob meal i had was ok, nothing spectacular. Second time I had a burger and they took way too long to get it out to me. It took about 30 minutes from the time I completed my order to the time I finally got my order! The burger patty was smaller than what it made it seemed from the menu. The third time I went I was asking for options to mix and match and the girl at the counter didn't provide much help when I asked for options! I believe this place could be good, the atmosphere seems nice, food us decent, I just don't think I've had the best of luck the couple times I'd been there! I still do recommend going here, but I'd say stick to the more traditional meals! read more

This location is garbage. I would recommend you go elsewhere. The wait is terrible. They basically have one person doing everything. The last time I came I pre-ordered by phone and then still had to wait after the time they said my food would be ready. Rushed back to work downtown only to see that they gave me the completely wrong order. I called and the manager said he would write my name down and definitely replace my meal the next time I came in. I'm not particularly close to that location so I don't make it back for two weeks. Came in today to get my refunded salad and suddenly they're under new management and can't honor the promise that was made to me. Not a good sign for this new management. I paid over $20 for my order when I came in and was given a completely different order that I couldn't eat. Tofas is in the wrong here, they should correct the mistake that resulted in me wasting $20 not including the cost of my time. Good luck in business, you're going to need it. read more

I cannot say anything about the food, just bad management. I placed an order on Saturday, March 21st, through the door dash app. The order was placed a little before 7:00 and the estimated arrival time was 7:30. At 7:30 the order switched to running late. I kept checking it and at 7:45 it suddenly switched to cancelled. When I double checked door dash, the restaurant was switched to currently closed. The closing time on both Yelp and their website still states 10:00. To see what would happen, I started to place an order through the website, it goes to door dash and gives 8:30 as the closing time, but says that it is closed. As I write this, it is 8:09. I realize that restaurants may be changing their hours due to the corona virus, but then they need to update them so people don't spend time deciding on an order and waiting for over 45 minutes for it to show up just to start all over with another restaurant. This restaurant just lost a customer since I doubt I will ever try this restaurant after this experience. read more

My family has eaten here many times and sadly, while the first few times it was great it's just not anymore. When the food is actually correct and hot it is very yummy! Problem is, it's usually the wrong order, lukewarm and totally inconsistent now. Sometimes tons of peppers and onions, sometimes not. Sometimes finely sliced vegetables, sometimes barely cooked chunks. Sometimes your salad is drowning in dressing, sometimes it's missing. Then there are the other issues..... Do you bus your own table? Where is the line? Where are the workers? Why does nobody answer the phone? Why do the high chairs not reach the tables? Why does the staff seem annoyed and confused? Why is there only ever one person taking orders no matter how long the line is? Why does the food take SO long? And lastly, why is it SO EXPENSIVE?!?! After about 8 tries or we give up. Addicted to the Chicken fatoush salad, I'd highly recommend it. The juju garlic sauce is to die for and comes with most entrees. I love the chicken kebab, it's my favorite. I'd also suggest getting a chicken shawarma sandwich, it's chicken shawarma, lettuce, tomato and onion wrapped In a pita bread along with tzaziki sauce which is more of a cucumber taste but I love the juju garlic sauce so I sub it. The tabouli is always fresh and juicy so I'd suggest that. A small comes with a pita and a large comes with 2 pita breads as well as the hummus. The juju fries (sweet potato fries) are also one of my go to's. Eat here at least 5 days a week. Customer service is outstanding. I am always greeted when I walk in or as I'm walking out and the young ladies in the front always go out of their way to make their customers day, they never fail to compliment my new manicure or my purses. Worst I've ever had. Falafel tasted dry, hard and microwaved. Kafta meat tasteless and hard, definitely microwaved.... I returned for a refund as it was a takeout. They seemed more concerned about the refund than the quality. The cook stood in the back listening and didn't even ask what the issue was. In the end, they only refunded one of the plates. Love going here fresh food, love the juju sauce and garlic sauce, humus and the warm pita breads. Chicken is great, the lamb is great. Very clean, and nice atmosphere. They have lemon cucumber water which is refreshing. The pizzas are amazing, so is the salads they have tasty dressings for the salads, I love the Greek Salad. The food is clean and fresh. I was so disappointed to hear owner/ Manager arguing with a young female employee re: holding her W2 because of his anger toward her. My suggestion is never ever eat here. We have been twice...I have no idea why we went a second time...stupidity maybe. The first time my husband was sick a few hours after. He had the chicken plate. Absolutely horrible service, at this point I will NEVER visit this restaurant again. Third and last chance here, this time I phones in a small pick up order. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes I asked the cashier how much longer only to find out they hadn't even started the order and were now closed. I had a bad experience for the first time visit the restaurant . The service was horrible, the cashiers were rude. There was no waiting people in line , and I had to wait for nearly 25 minutes for my order. There were 2 of my friends ordered at the same time and they had the food 15 minutes before me. Do not purchase gift cards from Tofas! My husband received a gift card from our daughter for Fathers's Day. We used half and were not able to use remaining amount until November. They said there was zero amount on card when actually on my receipt it shows $16.77 . There is no web sight to check your amount! As a consumer I find that very disturbing. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau and after 5 weeks they did not get a response from Tofas and have thus closed this claim. Buyer beware! read more

Tofas is a weak attempt to mimic the already successful Broilers chain of Mediterranean fast food restaurants. service wasn't that great and the person at the counter took at least 5 minutes to make her way to the cash register to take our order. We ordered the large fatuous salad and the Mediterranean pizza and asked her to hold the olives and guess what? olives all over the pizza. When I went up to see if we could get a garlic sauce (about a teaspoon full) for the chicken on the salad. She told me it doesn't come with it. After an awkward pause, I said well I'll pay for it, how much, she said 70 cents rudely like I was putting her out somehow. I said forget about it and then I reminded her that they made the pizza with olives, she said she would make another if I wanted to bring the other one back. I said forget it and went back and had my wife remove them off of hers. The food was good at best. I have never seen a place so stingy with the garlic sauce, it would have been nice though to dip the dry chicken in. For a positive note on the food, the Ingredients were fresh and tasty but for the price and having to put up with nasty, non-accommodating staff, I'll stick to Broilers for a consistent fast food Mediterranean. read more

The customer service at this place is the worst I've ever experienced. After waiting more than 45 minutes for our food, we were told it hadn't even been started yet. We asked for our money back & the supervisor said we'd need to talk to the manager. We asked the manager for a refund & she flat out refused to give us our money back. She even acted like we were doing something wrong to expect our food to be done in under 45 minutes. She went & hid in the back until we were gone. Customer service gets 1 star from me. I will explain: I came in and asked for combo beef and lamb. The server insisted it was called Kefta ( I explained it was cubed lamb). Kefta is ground lamb. Two completely diff prep of lamb. I trusted her since she works there and I don't! I figured she knew what she was trying to sell me. I get my plate of chicken ground lamb and some beef on my plate with hummus and salad and pita. This is NOT what I ordered. I gave it back. She said she will fix it and it's called shish kabob plate (under entree) and its $1.00 more so I paid the extra charge. (Shouldn't have to since you took the order incorrectly). When I got my plate back... It was the same plate I had earlier with just different types of meat and chicken was still in the mix when I never asked for chicken! (Good thing I wasn't allergic to poultry). And to top of off the rice is cold. Because it's now ten min later from the time they first served me my plate. I shouldn't have had to pay extra and the server should have known the difference between shish and Kefta!! Terrible! If it's your fault or customer isn't happy don't make them pay extra for your mistake. If I asked for chicken and Kefta it would have been fine but I didn't i asked for beef and lamb! I had gone to this "restaurant" for lunch mid December with a co worker. The experience was fairly good. There was maybe 8 diners present at the time (weekday). It seemed to be an owner/manager who had assisted us at the counter. He was extremely helpful, polite and inviting, explaining the menu and taking our orders. We found a seat at one of the booths. I had ordered the mediterranean pizza my co worker ordered chicken kabob or something like that. I thought it was a fresh alternative to the other options we have around for lunch. My friend was less impressed. I vowed to return and bring my family. I also had told people at work about the "new" place, ( there are about 300 people at my workplace). That leads up to my next visit...On Friday January 2nd I brought my family in for dinner. As we parked the car, they sighed and said oh no, not this place. Is it a restuarant or take out or what? I reassured them it is kind of a restaurant/take out place, but try it, its different. It was about 6:00, dinner time. We walked right up to the counter, no wait. We ordered and found a table. After about 10 minutes or so, the place starting getting busy. I said "looks like we beat the rush". We were sitting there sipping on the fountain drinks we purchased to have with our dinner. Well, after 25 minutes went by and I had seen other groups getting there food and starting to eat. I feared the worst. I approached the counter and got one of the girls attention (by chance). They looked completly out of control. Receipts lined up on the counter from end to end. Food stacked on top of the other getting cold ( which does not meet "servsafe" rules for food safety). I still held out hope. I, with receipt in hand asked about order #6. One of the girls frantically looked at all the stacked plates under the lights, went to the back (I guess looking for our order) I stood right there and watched them in their kaos. After a few minutes I got the attention of one of them and kindly asked for our money back, since there was no food prepared for us. After a few minutes more, a person named "Vanessa" rang back our order on the register for our money back, then handed the money to me (less the money for the fountain drinks)! I had maintained myself up to that moment. I thought I had not heard her correctly. I said "Are you kidding"? after what just happened? You are not going to refund the money for the fountain drinks? (whcih were only ordered to drink while having dinner) which never came. I told her I thought that was terrible customer service and I asked to talk to the manager, She said she was the manager! In complete disbelief I walked over to face my family and tell them that they lost our order and we had to go get something to eat elsewherel I explained the details as we got in the car. My son who had worked in the restaurant business said that is !@#$$%%, He called and spoke to Vanessa who gave the phone to the "kitchen" manager. He said he didnt remember anything. My son went back in and spoke to the kitchen manager who had Vanessa return the money for the fountain drinks! WOW. Needless to say, we will never be back. For anyone who has experience in customer service or the restaurant industry in particular would agreee that "Vanessa" needs to lose her job. She should not represent that restaurant in any way!!! read more

I read about Tofa's in the local paper and just happened to be in the area. I got there at about 12:40 and was told it would be 20 mins. Ok I'll wait and see. I ordered the Lamb Burger no cheese and set my timer on my phone. As I was doing my work at the table I looked around the place, very nice clean. The patrons with food looked happy and satisfied, except for the little boy that was crawling around on the booth next to me. The employees were all in nice uniforms. My order was ready in 14 mins. The Lamb Burger was juicey hot and very flavorful. The bun was toasted soft. My meal came with sweet potato fries which I wasn't anticpating but were a very nice surprise. They were crisp on the outside and fluffy and moist on the inside. The place was packed but people seemed ok with the wait and satisfied with what they were eating. I will go back and have a LuLu wrap which I never tried before but the guy next to me ordered one and I asked what it was, he said it was amazing. I had to get going but as I refilled my Iced tea I saw the cooler case with Grape Leaves and cheesecake. My mother in law loves the stuffed grape leaves and my wife loves cheesecake so I bought one of each for the ladies. My wife said the the cheesecake was salted caramel and was unreal, my mother in law ate the dolmas and said were "great for a take out" I tried a bite and of course had to exclaim that here were a little better. (Guys you know what I'm talking about). Over all great food good service and clean and friendly. I will be back for the wrap. read more
