Stopped by for a sweet treat after spending the day at Cedar Point. Lines for the drive-thru and inside were fairly long, but the line inside moved at a decent pace. The lady taking our order must have been having a rough day as she was short tempered with everyone who came across her. Luckily when it was my turn, I was able to order without catching any 'tude. Decided to try the new mixing bowl mashup blizzard, which combined brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough into one cup. So good! If you can't decide, recommend giving this limited time treat after try. Also tried some of their newest dipped cone flavor - Crunchin' Cookie, soft serve (went with chocolate) dipped in a blue chocolate cookie-flavored coating. This one is also good! read more

I decided to visit this establishment after a long day of swimming at cedar point shores water park. we went inside to order. it was myself and four little girls. I was wearing shorts and a tank top and the girls were in their bathing suits from the waterpark. This man runs over while we are ordering and tells the cashier that she can't serve people who aren't fully clothed.... it's literally children in bathing suits from the water park two minutes down the road..... if that wasn't bad enough and uncomfortable enough, then everything i ordered they didn't have. they weren't selling milkshakes for the day, they were out of pineapple lemonade, etc. i got a hibiscus lemonade and it was quite literally the worst thing i ever drank. it tastes like bad medicine. then one of the children got a hot fudge sundae. they literally put no hot fudge on the sundae. they brought out items out one item at a time, and each time they tried to take our number from us like we were trying to steal the little table number thing, and i kept having to tell them we were still waiting for more food. overall they were really hostile and rude to us, and out of so many menu items. the only reason they're getting two stars is because the establishment was super clean and they moved through their line very fast! read more

Went here on my way to cedar point thinking it would be way cheaper than the food there. They overcharged me 12 dollars, gave me two pieces of Texas toast and four chicken tenders when I ordered fries and a m'n'm blizzard. It took them around 20 dollars to make my food in the drive through and it tasted disgusting. The worker was absolutely clueless about what to do and insisted I pay with cash because he "couldn't reach the credit card reader out the window" even though I offered to hand my card to him. In conclusion the foods garbage the service is terrible and it's more worth it too eat at cedar point. read more

I would give them a zero but it makes you leave at least 1 star. We were in line on memorial day and pulled in at 9pm (they close at 9:30p) all the doors were locked so we only had drive thru as an option (1st mistake was coming here). As we were waiting in line and it not moving we made our 2nd mistake by not leaving. At 9:17p a worker (gentleman) came out and assured us as we were waiting in line that we WOULD STILL BE SERVED since we were in line well before 9:30pm (3rd mistake was we believed him). At 9:31pm we see a worker leave. 9:35pm we finally get to speaker to be told "sorry we are closed" we informed girl we had been in line and we're told by worker outside we would be served and then she said "well out system went down." Which I don't believe at all because if that was true how would the two cars in front of us (who were still waiting for food & to pay) pay for their food if system was down. Also, her attitude was horrible & rude. I wish I would have read the reviews before stopping as the most recent ones have had awful experiences as well. I strongly recommend not going to this DQ, let them go out of business! We ended up going to McDonald's (wish we had to being with) and they were extremely friendly, quick, & from pulling in, ordering, paying, & getting our items it took less than 5 minutes. read more

GHETTO! The service was TERRIBLE! When we walked in a girl was bend over the counter on her phone. Then we ordered and waited over 20 minutes for 2 meals. When she finally brought the food she was very rude. Went back up to the counter to ask for something and the girl had a hair brush and was banging it on the service counter!! Absolutely disgusting! i picked up four sides of country gravy to have at home with dinner, and when i got home i opened up the containers it was all like water the gravy wasn't cooked it wasn't thick like gravy it just poured like water, and had no taste. like they just mixed flour with water and didn't even bother to make gravy with it. i called the manager and he sounded clueless. i am highly disappointed in dairy queen grill & chill in sandusky, they just don't care. what a waste of time and money! read more

Tried to get a blizzard after leaving the park and one of the employees told us if we were not up to the speaker by 11 they would not serve us. The car in front of us offer to get our order in for us but the manager seen us give them our order and wouldn't allow his employee to make our blizzards. Very disappointing! After a long and tired day at cedar point. We all thirsted for some dairy queen ice cream. We noticed online that it says it was closed, but as we drive by it they're still working the drive thru! if you're looking for a quick snack after a long day at cedar point, do not go here. the service was horrible. super slow, obvious no communication among employees, and prioritized drive through orders way too much. a single small blizzard took 10 minutes, it wasn't made right, and only the top half of it was blended. also gave food away to people who it didn't belong. read more

This is the best place to go to after a long hard day at Cedar Point, but don't get there to late after closing because the line is out the door. Sometimes the services can get slow when they are extremely busy, but if you just remind them they will bring it out. And hey DQ blizzards and Burgers are Great! read more

Where do I begin? After a long night at Cedar Point for Halloweekends (keep in mind it was PACKED), and having to pay $25 for two mediocre slices of pizza at the park, all me and my best friend NEEDED was some good hearty food. Two hungry teenagers ready to devour any food in sight, we stopped at the DQ Grill & Chill close to the park. Now while it was a very lengthy wait, boy was it worth it. Did they also forget part of our order? Yes they did, but we called and let them know and they brought it right out to my truck with a smile on their face! We ordered a Sauced and Tossed Chicken Tender Basket, along with a Bacon Double Cheesestack. To add, a Chocolate Brownie Extreme Blizzard. Every part of our meal put us in a state of ecstasy. We sat in my truck hunched over our food like gremlins eating in the dark in silence. All you could hear was the sound of meat ripping and mouths smacking. Came all the way from Chicago to go to cedar point, and visited this Dairy Queen location. First visit I ordered crispy chicken fingers, I got them and they were completely pink on the inside, I took them to the counter and the cashier Said "ugh, those are not done" and I said I know, and she had them made a new batch. I also orders fries and hey were completely ice cold, so I had to get those reordered as well. Second visit on our stay, we went for ice cream, ordered 3 blizzards and a small strawberry/banana shake, first things first they charged extra for a banana, next the shake was disgusting, it tasted like straight milk. I cannot believe the incompetence of the employees at this location. They do not know how to take orders accurately, charge for more than what you order, and provide smaller items than ordered. Furthermore, when you inform them of their wrong-doing, you are treated with disrespect including the staff "fighting" over who was not going to bring my family their food. My husband and I stopped her while on vacation and I would never come back. At least 8 employees standing around to wait on two customers (so definitely not busy) yet when I went to use the restroom I regretted not using the port-a-potty down the road. This is the worst DQ we've ever visited. There were 10+ employees and they all seemed to be more concerned about dancing around & joking with each other than providing customer service. Don't get me wrong - they seemed to be nice young people - but the lack of management was apparent. If I could give this no stars I would. Waited over 40 minutes to get my food. Told the cashier I haven't received my food yet and he said they were just really busy but yet people who ordered after me were receiving their food. Lobby was closed at 9:00 by this time I was there for an hour and they asked me what I was waiting for ( I was the only person left) told him a chicken strip basket and didn't receive what I ordered and paid extra for. We waited about 10 minutes before getting out of line and going across the street to McDonald's, which gave us faster and much better service. I honestly never laughed so hard at what I just experienced at this Dairy Queen. We went inside to order ice cream and there was a bunch of people in the lobby. There was a guy who was passing out the ice cream and screaming out the order numbers, but the problem was he had no idea what he was doing. There was a bunch of ice cream in front of his face along with a bunch of order slips in his face. Everything was pure confusion. He would take a blizzard in his hand then search for the slip then grab another blizzard and do the same thing. He would talk to himself in multiple languages He was very very clueless, as the ice cream kept accumulating in his face. He was getting mad at the people making the ice cream trying to blame it on them, even though he was in a complete shit storm. My boyfriend and I are vacationing in Sandusky OH and came to this Dairy Queen after a long day at Cedar Point. We arrived at 8:50pm, ordered our food at 9pm and did not get our food until 9:50pm. This location closes at 9pm. Why are their customers forced to wait an hour for food when they close at 9pm? Inefficient. For a fast food establishment this is UNCALLED for. It should not take 50 minutes for a customer to receive their order. To make the situation worse we ordered ice cream with our food and received our ice cream 45 minutes before our food came out. By the time the food came out our ice cream was completely melted. The staff was rude and inconsiderate and refused to redo the ice cream because of their inability to make food efficiently. The cherry on the top is when we FINALLY got our order the food was completely wrong and since they had closed down the kitchen they couldn't even fix our order. The employees are incompetent and should be fired, they make the food out of order so someone who ordered before me wouldn't receive their food until the person who ordered last in line would, lastly the ice cream should never come out before the food if you intend on giving the person their food 45 minutes later! I'm in shock of how awful this Dairy Queen is and hope the manager changes up staff and gets employees that are capable of handling this job. Truly disappointed read more

This place is absolutely pathetic! Dont recommend and wont visit this place again as long as current management remains. Last Friday, I placed my order @ 7:44pm. I was given a number and told my meals would be brought out to my table. 20 minutes later and no meals I returned to the counter and asked what happen to my dinners. No one knew...including the manager. I requested a refund. While I was waiting, another disgruntled customer expressed her dissatisfaction with the service. I said, "They're not even busy tonight and tomorrow is Cedar Point's opening day!" They're in for a rude awakening tomorrow! I want to make mention that the problem is not the attitude of the counter staff, they had a good demeanor about them, yet frustrated. But rather the attitude of the management and the obvious lake of training provided.
