We completed a full master bathroom plus master closet remodel with Together Design & Build Ido, the project manager, and the crew, Ricardo and Ismael, performed excellent work at transforming our bathroom from an awkward and dated 1960s layout to a modern, beautiful masterpiece. Selection Process: We interviewed eight contractors for our master bathroom remodel. We chose Together D&B for a variety of reasons. Ido, the project manager, spent a reasonable amount of time with us to understand the scope of the project, including asking questions and offering new insights to challenges. He provided us with a quote of the project cost before even leaving our house. The written quote included an appropriate level of detail about what the project would entail. The price seemed reasonable compared to the other quotes we had received. We felt comfortable talking with Ido. He was not overly pushy to close the sale. He followed up on multiple occasions regarding our interest in pursuing the work further. Before/Design Process: This is our first home and our first major remodel. We were, understandably, nervous. Together Design & Build provided design service through one of their project managers, Roi. Roi provided some valuable suggestions to the design process when he came to our home. He provided nice 3D Designes images of what our remodeled space might look like. As we were still unsure as to colors/styles/etc., the images gave us a good idea of what the finished layout would be, if not much about how it would actually look when the bathroom will be done. In retrospect, we would have benefited from hiring an interior designer to help us walk through the process of style/color/tile selection. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to decide colors and styles. Hiring a trained designer would have saved time and stress overall. Construction: The renovation, from start to finish, was several of weeks not including installation of the shower glass enclosure. The project was while COVID-19 shelter in place restrictions, which made it a bit challenging. With consideration of the COVID epidemic, we were very pleased that the project was completed and so close to the initial timeline. We communicated with Ido nearly every day via Whats App. He came to the house every other day during the process -- mainly on important day like decisions of electric, plumbing locations, tile designs, during inspections or to collect payment -- but, he was available via Whats App at any time. Ido provided valuable help finding us a vanity and countertop through his contacts. He provided some excellent suggestions at going with a more streamlined look that we are glad for now. He also provided encouragement and pushed us toward making decisions in a timely manner, all of which was needed and appreciated. We enjoyed working with him throughout the whole process. Ricardo and Ismael, the on-site crew, were wonderful to work with. Every day, they cleaned up the bathroom/bedroom work area, as well as their work areas on the side of the house. There was very little extra to clean up when the renovation was complete. They were extremely respectful in their interactions with our family, as well as being in our home every day. Ido promise that his crew are respectful, Ricardo, the lead foreman, checked in with us every step of the way to confirm what we wanted and needed. Ricardo had a great attitude throughout the entire process -- positive and willing to make changes or go above and beyond. At one point, he realized that we might need to order more tile for the shower wall, which would have been challenging regardless of the global pandemic, but even more challenging with it. He managed to find enough pieces in the remnant tile to complete the entire shower and no one would be the wiser looking at it -- a puzzle masterpiece. Completion: We are extremely happy with the finished product! We feel that the overall quality of the work is excellent. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE, BEAUTIFUL RESULTS You know how people tell you they're doing a remodel and proceed to tell you about a slow, delayed, over-budget, nightmare of a process? They should have worked with these guys instead. We did a pretty big kitchen and master bathroom renovation, our first after living in our home for 20 years. We interviewed 4 contractors and Together seemed head and shoulders above the rest, almost too good to be true for the estimated cost. But at every turn they impressed us over and over. Starting with the selection of materials in their showroom, their quality products and professionalism were immediately evident. Their eye for design really helped us bring our ideas to life, and having a 3-D rendering of our plans definitely helped put us at ease. When it came time to start the demo, they clearly laid out the process and what to expect. I They At the end of each day, they sent pictures of the progress and the plans for the next day. No down time whatsoever. Every day but Sundays, their team was always working on something. Even with changes in plans and more work than we expected, they finished the project on time and with awesome results. Money is always a concern, of course. We are not rich folks, but we had budgeted more than we thought we would need, since remodeling a house built in the 50's was sure to come with surprises. There were a few, but our team at Together always took our budget seriously and gave us options to get what we needed without breaking the bank. Even with a good bit of work we hadn't planned for, it all worked out for the price we expected. And beautifully so. Our project manager Avri has been phenomenal at helping us bring all the pieces together, from planning the budget to prioritizing our goals to realizing our vision better than we could have. Sahar, our services manager, made sure the electric, plumbing and other specialized services were done right and on schedule. And our site manager, Mitar, was excellent at communication, troubleshooting, and being hands-on making sure the day-to-day ran more smoothly than we imagined it could. Something important to me was how he interacted with the workers on site, always respectfully and professionally. You could tell the workers took pride in their trade, a quality for which there is no substitute. Finally, our designer Maria has impeccable taste, and her eye for beauty and practicality improved on our ideas tremendously. They just finished a few touch-ups today, and we couldn't be more pleased. They have a 1-year warranty and insisted that we take them up on it if we have any other concerns. What could easily have been a nightmare has ended up a dream come true. I recommend them unreservedly. read more

My partner and I bought our very first home in South Austin last November and knew we wanted to remodel our bathrooms eventually. Around July, we gathered some estimates from a few different companies, but as soon as we met with Ido we felt completely at ease and trusted he would deliver on our dream bathroom. He was professional, easy to communicate with, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions and concerns. Shortly after, we signed a contract with Together Design & Build for our master bathroom and powder room remodel, with Ido as our Project Manager. At the beginning, there are a million decisions to make on layout, design and finished materials. Ido came with us to a few showroom appointments to create our vision, and offered some great guidance on what materials would look good together but also be functional, while giving us the creative freedom. The vendors he works with were excellent and very helpful - Highly recommend ProSource for tiles! After our materials were purchased, we had a 5-6 week timeline from Ido for project completion. It was a smooth experience from demo day to the final walkthrough. We didn't realize how messy and dusty a house can get during a bathroom remodel, and working from home can be tricky during construction, so we decided to travel a few weeks during construction - cannot recommend this enough! We felt safe doing this with Ido providing a lockbox for the contractors, and Ido was often onsite with them checking in on progress and providing us plenty of FaceTime calls and photos along the way. Inevitably, there will be things that go wrong during construction. For example, during the demo they accidentally hammered through the siding on our house. Ido responded so professionally and quickly took action to repair the siding. He soaked in all of our stress for us, and made us feel like his top priority. If and when there are hiccups during your project, you can count on Ido that he will do the right thing and provide a solution. I think the biggest benefit to hiring a company to manage your remodel versus independently hiring contractors is the value of time. Ido did all of the project planning and management for us, coordinating who shows up and when, delegating tasks and catching them up to speed on the project design, functionality and details. Additionally, all of the contractors we worked with through Ido were very professional and pleasant to work with and delivered on time! Our bathroom remodels turned out better than we imagined. 100 stars! We were so lucky to have chosen Together Design & Build for our kitchen and house-wide flooring remodel. Big thanks to Avri, Sahar, Laura, Leo, Alberto, and the rest of the team! We came with a few sketches and ideas for our kitchen, but this was our first major remodel project and we had a lot to learn about the process. Big kudos to the designers for helping us pick out beautiful cabinets and backsplash and create a functional kitchen too. We ran into a couple major hiccups in our project, and TDB was super communicative, empathetic and flexible. After we moved out and demo started, we discovered our house needed foundation work. While we were out of town, Avri brought in a foundation company the very next day, and we managed to get the repairs needed in less than a week to minimize the project's delay. Second, we had found our own flooring contractor to replace some damaged areas of our oak floors, and then sand and re-stain the floors throughout our entire house. When things weren't progressing well with the flooring work and we shared our concerns with TDB, they again stepped up and provided a better solution for less money than our original contractor. The combination of the foundation and flooring issues was pretty stressful (and not at all TDB's fault!) - we are very grateful for TDB's excellent service and empathy to get the project done right and help us feel much less stress than it could have been. More on the service theme: our countertop slab was just a tiny bit too small for both our kitchen and laundry room, but we didn't want to pay for a whole new slab. We started looking at Facebook marketplace for a slab remnant for the laundry room, but were going to settle for a "close enough" similar countertop instead of an exact match. TDB jumped in and somehow found a remnant that was an exact match with our kitchen. TDB even threw in some additional electrical work to improve the lighting in our closets and replace old outlets and security systems that weren't even in the original quote, at no extra charge to us. We also appreciated daily communication and progress pictures via WhatsApp. Finally, the quality of their work was amazing too - everything turned out beautiful, and it's like we're living in a brand new (and more functional) house. The foreman, Alberto, was patient, kind, and detail-oriented throughout the project. And we enjoyed talking about our cats with him! Nothing in the house that Together Design & build haven't touch, so full home remodel :) We chose Together Design n Build after interviewing 6+ different contractors, The moment ido enter our home and present himself i found him very oriented and detailed and speaking upfront on the project scope of work without trying to hide any small detail of what might be. Ido was our original project manager and than Roi Mazor joined hands to help and both were incredible amazing with their availbllity throughout, leading the crew, and helping me understand the entire process and answer all of my questions. We heard many negative feedback about General contract in Travis county, So we were cautious about our choice and decide to start just with the kitchen remodel only, However Ido & Roi did such a superb kick start, we were so impressed right from the demolition day, Roi presentation of his 3D Design, After seeing their professional work and caring attitude and attention to small details we decided to continue with Together Design & Build for our two Bathrooms remodels and later Floors and Rewire, adding recessed lights etc. The home was recently purchased and was built in 1960, and was not in a great condition, Together Design & Build made this house look like home. We went through couple of hoops here and there, mostly because delays in inspections or souprises due the old plumbing, flooring, framing etc, Ido & Roi discussed and provided various options for those issues, and resolved them in timely manner, Super professional, and most important didn't took advantge of the situation to over charge, they were very fair. We wanted to do a full renovation of our home, including the kitchen and three bathrooms. At first, we received several quotes and decided to go with another company that offered a lower price. Looking back, that mistake ended up costing us much more. We had met Ido, and although his quote wasn't the cheapest, I initially thought Together was too expensive. As much as I wanted to work with them, I chose the cheaper estimate with another contractor. Their design process took forever (and it wasn't even their own people), and I felt like they were just trying to rush me into picking materials from a showroom that wasn't theirs. When the project started, they used low-quality materials to protect my home, and dust went up all over my house. Workers came maybe two to three times a week with no clear schedule. After two months, I realized there was barely any progress. But the biggest red flag came when they brought in their electrician and plumber-- I was left without electricity went out at 7 PM, and I noticed a gas smell in the house. Then I knew it was time to call Ido. He came to the house with his electrician and plumber to inspect the work that had been done, and he immediately noticed how many issues would need fixing. I ended up firing the first team and hiring the person I should've hired in the first time. I had to pay more than the original estimate from Together, since now it was a riskier project--they had to reopen all the walls and essentially start from scratch. I went through that nightmare trying to save $12,000 from the original quote... and ended up paying $21,000 more and wasting three extra months of construction in my home. Ido showed up every day, was deeply committed, and brought an incredible team with him. Cliff, Justin, and Jose were amazing to work with. They covered everything properly, contacted city inspectors to make sure the previous contractor's work was correctly repaired, and handled everything with care. After comparing the two contractors, I now understand why some contractors charge more. Ido did an outstanding job for me and my family. I choose to post the following review for a kitchen remodel that was done in the year of 2016 at my home in California with Ido Pistiner and Roi Mazor two good friends full of motivation and a desire to give me the best result & satisfaction, they worked in full cooperation and shared with me throughout what is to come. From the start of the first visit, to the foot print of the kitchen, to The Design and buy all the part that goes in the kitchen - cabinet, countertop, backsplash, floors etc, I did not have much experience in designing colors and sizes etc. when I first chose the the materials Roi explained to me why he did not recommend those specifically (which I'm sure another contractor wouldn't care) He took the time to explain me why and guided me what to choose, and I am grateful for it . Looking back I would not enjoy the original colors and sizes I chose at all, so it is important to choose contractor who will guide you the route and not just do the work itself. Working with Roi and Ido was really an all-inclusive package, I can't say that wasn't couple of bumps along the way, but hey it's construction right? When I had a concern they always handled it as soon as possible, when Roi even showed at my house at 9:30PM to resolve an issue. and I really appreciate it. my project came out amazing and I get so many compliments from my family and friends. Couple of days ago I called Ido because I wanted to renovate my Master Bathroom and he told me that he left for Texas a while ago and started his own company which on one hand make me sad since now I have to look for another contractor and my expectations are high, on the other hand I am happy for Ido and Roi for opening their own company knowing they will give to their Clients/ Projects even more than what they use to. After interviewing five contractors, we chose Together Design & Build for our primary bathroom remodel, and couldn't be more thrilled with the results. There were three key factors that made TD&B stand out: their design process, talented team, and exceptional communication. Design: We were presented with three 3D design concepts, which was a game-changer in helping us visualize the final look before we even began demolition. For my first large house remodel, I was concerned about getting the right contractor. Ultimately, Together Design and Build (TDB) did an outstanding job remodeling my kitchen and all bathrooms. After the first meeting with Ido and reviewing past projects that TDB had done, I was confident that Ido and his team were the right choice. Ido has a great sense of aesthetics and provided helpful suggestions during the planning phase of the project to enhance the vision I had for the house. I felt that Ido was up-front and honest about what could be accomplished and where problem areas could arise once the demolition opened up walls and floors. Kevin, the project lead, was careful and detail oriented and he made sure the work was done correctly and on time. Kevin's work shows that he takes pride in what he does and how he does things. David was the main worker that showed up almost every day throughout the project and he is a dependable and diligent worker. Both Kevin and David were easy to discuss any details of the project from concerns to advice on how things should be done. Pilar (Maria) helped me decide and finalize the kitchen design with my vision in mind and she was instrumental in finding the right tile for my kitchen backsplash that would make a statement with the right characteristics and budget I was looking for. Communication with the TDB team working on my house throughout the project was superb. The team was very responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the project. Together Design & Build is a fantastic company to work with. We had them completely renovate our kitchen including removing a load bearing wall between the kitchen and family room. They were professionals every step of the way, bringing in a structural engineer and trade specific experts to make sure the project was done right. Our project manager, Avri, was a pleasure to work with. Not only is he well organized, he is an excellent communicator. He managed the timeline very well and kept us informed every step of the way. I haven't ever had a project manager touch base most every morning during the project to let us know timeframes and what to expect the way Avri did. Quite remarkable and appreciated! And no remodel goes perfectly smooth; in our case, we had some delivery issues, but Avri went above and beyond to work with the vendors to make sure that all issues were resolved to our satisfaction. We've worked on several remodeling projects over the years with other companies, and I can honestly say that Avri and his team are by far one of the best! Additionally, Juan, our main construction guru, was fabulous. Not only is he a skilled craftsman, he is very detailed, takes pride in his work, and is extremely solution oriented. When I wanted to change the placement of the island outlets last minute, he found a creative way to make it happen without compromising the design or quality of his work. He is excellent to work with! Everyone that Avri brought in for our project was friendly, very responsive and highly skilled from our electrician, Kyle, to our plumber, Cliff. Together Design and Build: A Rescue and a Remodel! We had a private contractor begin our bathroom remodel(s). We'd planned two back-to-back jobs: the 40-year-old primary bathroom and the hall/guest bathroom. After an unfortunate accident this contractor was unable to continue, and we were left with an unfinished mess. We found TDB online, read a review where they'd rehabilitated an abandoned project, and decided to give them a call. We're so fortunate that we did! Sahar Habari was our project manager, and from the get-go we had a really good vibe. Sahar was warm, friendly, professional, and communicative every step of the way! His scheduling of their tradespeople was seamless and continuous. Someone was making progress nearly every day. Any delays or unexpected issues (every house/project will have one!) were discussed and thoroughly explained. Sahar always gave us an update on who was coming, the time they would be there, and the job they'd perform. He would answer any questions or concerns we had and would check in on the end of the day to see if we were pleased or had any issues. Each member of the remodel team was prompt, polite, and patient. The workspace was kept broom-clean and organized throughout the project. They each worked quickly but carefully, and we're very happy with the results! And as it turned out, TDB discovered a number of hidden mistakes that our initial contractor had made and saved us from some pretty bad issues down the road. Our experience with Together was exceptional. They helped us convert our detached garage into a guest house and we are over the moon with the results. Ido and team hold themselves to the highest standard, helped us navigate complex permitting, and worked diligently with us to get the project just as we wished. Kevin worked tirelessly to get every detail right. And above all, they are great trustworthy people, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. A few points worth going into further detail: - Efficiency: the project took a while to get going because of the permits, but once it got started, it was very fast! We contacted Roi at Together Design & Build after getting a strong recommendation from a colleague. Our project consisted of a full kitchen remodel, guest and half bath remodels, and replacement of all flooring on the ground level. Roi listened to us, asked pertinent questions, and made us feel at ease with tackling such a large project. These qualities, coupled with a fair price, meant we didn't hesitate to sign the contract. We found it helpful to work with the design team to pick out things like floor tile, countertops, and cabinets. And their approach to having all the materials on hand prior to construction helped mitigate project delays. Roi, Demetria, Antonio, and Alberto took excellent care of us once construction began. Alberto and his crew were punctual, dedicated craftsmen who we felt lucky to be working with. We can cite multiple instances where they went above and beyond. We felt like they were treating our house with the same care as their own, which is a rarity among contractors. Both Dementia and Alberto made great suggestions during the project that enhanced the final product. Antonio and Dementia kept us on track with scheduling, material purchases, and upcoming decisions. All construction projects hit unexpected snags. Our issues were minor and resolved within hours. Experiences with bad contractors make the good ones stand out even more. Roi and his team were professional, easy to work with, and skilled at their jobs. They actually finished ahead of schedule, despite having to deal with some of our perfectionist tendencies. After purchasing our new home in Austin, we knew that we had a couple of things we wanted to personalize in our home. Highest on our list of renovations was to replace the carpet in the bedrooms with the tile to match the rest of the house. Our relator recommended us a contractor for the job, but he ended up telling us that he was "too busy". That led us to go to Lowes because we really didn't know where else to start. After receiving their estimate, we decided that we would still look around to see what our other options are, especially after looking at their reviews (huge yikes). After calling around and getting estimates from different contractors, we were starting to feel lost as each of them didn't exactly rub us the right way. Thankfully, the universe directed me to Ido and his team at Together Design & Build. Ido came to my house and gave us an estimate that was about the same price as Lowes and I was almost instantly sold, as his professionalism exceeded through the roof. I could tell that I was in good hands and I definitely was right. Ido and his team came and did the job in a matter of two and a half days. They absolutely exceeded my expectations. The tile looks PHENOMENAL. We had a great experience with our bathroom remodel with Together Design & Build, from the very start with the design meetings to the actual high-quality construction job. The team, particularly Shay, Gabi, and Gia, provided excellent customer service and we felt very well taken care of, and they were very approachable with any concerns we had. One example is when we had finalized the design but I started to feel like we had deviated a bit too much from my original vision for the bathroom. I spoke to the team and they immediately reached out to have another impromptu design meeting. They very quickly understood my concerns and they suggested a change to the tile pattern to make it look more classic and in keeping with a 1940s house. The construction crew (led by Kevin) paid great attention to detail and you can tell they have pride in doing a great job; they also made sure to keep a clean work site, which was CRUCIAL as we have three dogs and a toddler. The main hiccups we had were due to a change in their usual process, where instead of us buying the bathroom accessories and fixtures, they bought them for us and we reimbursed them; I forgot why we did it this way, but it just added a bit more confusion to the process so I completely understand why that is not their usual method. I had an excellent experience with Together Design & Build! Roi, the project manager, is incredibly personable and did an excellent job of hearing me out, presenting me with options, and working with me to remodel my kitchen, with my budget in mind! Before construction work was even started, we went together to different showrooms to look at the verity of options for the cabinets, countertop slabs and backsplash. Throughout the renovation, Roi was a proactive communicator, and I was never left wondering when or if something was going to happen. In addition, Jesus the foreman and the rest of the crew were a joy to work with. Most of the time I was nearby and enjoyed interaction with the crew. They completed the job quickly because of their hard work, and they had great attention to details per my requests and wishes. Roi was as committed to perfection as I was. When reviewing the results, he found an issue I had not noticed and probably never would have. He made sure the issue was corrected the next day. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's been several weeks since my kitchen has been remodeled and I'm so happy with the results! I would highly recommend Together Design & Build to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen!
