    Cafe con Leche (iced)

From the moment we walked into this amazing family-owned Cuban eatery, we felt right at home; warm, welcoming, and full of heart. We ordered a cafe con leche, iced hot coco, a variety of empanadas, lechon fries, a side of plantains, and their signature Cuban sandwich, and every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made to order. The portions were generous (perfect for sharing), and while everything is prepared fresh, it's absolutely worth either ordering ahead or kicking back with one of their delicious drinks while you wait. The service was beyond excellent. Denise, the owner, was incredibly kind and made the experience extra special for our family. Her husband is the talented cook. She even took the time to teach my daughter how to make Cuban coffee, which made the visit so memorable. I'm so glad we found this place. If you're craving authentic, fresh Cuban food, this is it. Even if it's a bit of a drive, make the trip, bring your people, order a spread, and turn it into a feast. We can't wait to come back!

I stopped by Calle Ocho Cuban Cafecito to try the Café con Leche, and I absolutely loved it! It was smooth, strong, and very well balanced the kind of coffee that has great flavor Fernando was incredibly nice and made me feel very welcome from the moment I walked in. Great customer service always makes a difference, and he definitely added to the experience. The food also looks amazing based on what I saw from other reviews I've come across. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Inside is cute and well decorated they have seating outside

Really great spot that serves up Cuban food in a small strip mall of Rancho Cucamonga. The space itself is pretty small and there are a couple of tables, but I think it's more conducive to takeout. The menu has a pretty good variety of dishes/menu items as well as coffee drinks, but like the space, lots of items you can order are more geared towards take out. I think it's owned and run by a couple and they are super friendly. Also, I've never been to Cuba, but with the decor, it really does have a vibe like you are in a small food shack in Cuba. For my first trip there, I definitely got the popular iconic Cuban hits : the Cubano, the Café con Leche, an empanada with ham and cheese, and a potato ball (papa rellena) with ground beef. All the food was just so delicious and very well done. The coffee was great as well. Definitely a big fan of this place and will be coming back and hopefully often. And I really want to ropa vieja bowl, since ropa vieja is one of my favorite things to order when I've been to other Cuban spots.

Unexpected find! I got an agua Fresca an empanada and a papa rellano. All very good! A bit pricey, about $18 but it's made fresh - fried right after you order - and clearly supporting a small business. The ropa vieja in the empanada was amazing - I'm sure there sandwiches are killer based on the meat and if I went back I would probably go for one of the sandwiches over anything else. The service was amazing as well, such kind and welcoming people. It's a bit hard to park here and there's only 6 seats so plan to take out!

    Great cafe con leche

Walking into Calle Ocho always feel like a warm hug. From the kindness of the staff to the way you can taste the love poured into the food and coffee, it's always an experience that leaves you feeling happy and fulfilled. The guava and cheese empanadas are always a must have, along with their Signature Cuban Sandwich. I never visit without getting an iced Cafe Con Leche (4 shots because I don't play about my coffee). Whether you're a weekly regular, a sometimes regular, or a visitor from out of town, Denise and her crew make you feel so welcome and valued every single time. We've literally never had a bad visit or bad meal. I promise if you visit, you will not be disappointed!! It's a small spot without a lot of seating, but what they may lack in seats they make up with in flavor and culture. Enjoy!

Calle Ocho in Miami is iconic, amazing, electric and fun. The beautiful Cuban experience is 2323 miles away. To all the local Californians and Inland Empire residents, how lucky are you that for the last 8 years Denise and her team at Calle Ocho Cuban Cafecito have brought and delivered- the same energy, the same amazing fare, the crazy delicious Cortaditos, the empanadas and some new flavors that are out of this world, oh cannot forget about the sandwiches - to the 91730. Welcome to 8880 Archibald Ave in the lovely Rancho Cucamonga. All you have to do is come 5 minutes up from the 10 Freeway or 6 minutes down from the 210 and make that turn into the west side into a small shopping center with an auto store, liquor mart and other restaurants. Please look for the sign and as soon as you enter ( video on Yelp) prepare to be transported to Cuba and yes Miami with beautiful banners, flags, that ENERGY, that music that will make your hips move and start doing the Rumba maybe the Mamba; then when you take that first sip of the heavenly and specially prepared Cortadito- you are there! The first bite of the sweet plantain in the breakfast bowl, the flan, the BBQ pork sandwich, the cheese and garlic empanada and the lechon fries( WOW! WOW!) . You can sit inside or outside or start singing the moment you get into the car and rip open that bag with the glorious take out. I will stop now. Please don't take my word for how fantastic this whole experience is. I will look for your 5 star review and new photos following my assessment. Please have fun and enjoy! Another reminder that life is beautiful and so much more fun and tastier with these gems and the love, care and big hearts of Denise the dynamo owner and Fernando the very cool Manager.

All ordered this first time here!

After I saw The IE Explorer review on Facebook, I got immediate interest loving Cuban Cuisine me being Puerto Rican loving all Latin food, He was eating a Cuban Sandwich which is a favorite I had to see for myself if it was LEGIT not paying attention to existing reviews, I will make my own review. Walked in approximately Noon time no wait immediately got served by Fernando one of the owners let him know how I was made aware of his food and let him know my history with authentic Cuban Food via my family and living in Tampa FL So , I was disappointed that Relleno de Papa wasn't available due to legit reason, but I proceeded to order the Cuban Signature Sandwich, Ropa Vieja.Bowl, Chicken,Beef & Ropa Vieja Empanadas! In Short a bit of a reasonable wait because all made fresh and had no problem with that, had a Cafe con Leche while I waited Legit The business is strictly TAKE OUT, Love the Authentic Ambiance expressing the Cuban Culture Wish it was a dining in but once I got home and indulged, OMG! SO GOOD!!! Worth the drive from home and back to ENJOY THIS AUTHENTIC CUBAN CUISINE I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CALLING IN ORDER FIRST TO ASSURE THEY HAVE ALL FOOD WANTED AVAILABLE AND READY WHEN YOU ARRIVE... I will definitely RETURN!!!

A quick update from my last two memorable visits. Yes they do greet you with a smile when you walk in and they are friendly. But once you pay and don't give them a tip all that goes out the door. Ahem! Their demeanor changes or I should say Her demeanor changes and when you pick up your order it gets thrown to you. Or should I say my sandwich got flung to me with an evil dirty look. I went back again but this time around I had someone else order and pay and the same thing happened to them. No I'm not making this up. Check the surveillance footage if you will. So not cool if you don't tip you get treated like that. Like WTF! I support local businesses but this is just not cool at all. And that's my Retake on this experience, Peace

    Nadine A.

Love it here! The decorations, the music, the selection, the QUALITY. Absolutely worth the hype. I was getting car work done in the plaza and was due for some coffee. The staff and cozy atmosphere greeted me right away. Felt like I was walking into someone's home with the hospitality and seating. It is quaint and it clearly gets very busy. Take the advice to order ahead if you can. I walked in because I had the time to spare. I ordered the classic Cafe con Leche, guava pastry, and tried the media noche empanada. Oh my goodness, delicious! I would definitely have to come just for the food because that empanada was savory and satisfied a flavor profile I didn't know I needed. Overall, you come here for the coffee and café vibes, but you return for the hospitality and quality food. Shoutout to the business for putting some sazón in Rancho Cucamonga. Wepa!

This location sits at the corner of an apartment complex and there was plenty of parking available when we arrived. The interior definitely matched the vibe I was expecting - a lot of colorful murals, "toasted" imagery, eclectic decor like rubber ducks on every window sill and counter ledge, and plenty of green. The menu had a lot of options and variations with tongue-in-cheek names, but also the common names and descriptions below. Both my friend and I ordered "pinners," which are 8" sandwiches. I got the Kali Mist (Spicy Club) on garlic herb bread and my friend got The Kind (Turkey, Bacon, Shrooms) but without the shrooms on white bread. After ordering at the counter, we took a seat at one of the tables to dine-in. The music was a little loud for my preference, which makes me sound like I'm a million years old but oh well. Our orders were brought over by an employee once they were ready and I was immediately impressed by the amount of toppings and how good everything looked and smelled. My sandwich was super tasty and I especially loved the chipotle mayo and garlic herb bread! Having never tried Cheba Hut before, I immediately asked my friend where the closest location was after taking my first few bites. I'd love to try more sandwiches.

Very soft and perfectly warm. The sandwich was packed full of shredded, slow roaster turkey, stuffed with stuffing and a layer of cranberry sauce. I drizzled the suggested gravy on it- delicious! The reasoning behind only 3 stars was customer service. The man working the register and taking orders was not welcoming or friendly. I enquired how the French fries were there and the reply was $3.49. I asked how they were not how much they were. He remained straight faced. No public service or even a sliver of a smile. When we picked the order up at the counter I asked the woman employee if I could get a side of gravy for my sandwich. Her reply was simply an eye roll and "I'll check the back". Despite the sandwiches and the brookie being delicious I don't know that we will be back. It is important to us as foodies and as consumers that we encounter welcoming service and not be made to feel like we are putting them out. Food great- service NOT.
