Saw this place and came in on a whim to buy a loaf of sourdough bread. Unfortunately they ran out early of the bread I was interested in BUT I ended up getting a BYO sandwich instead. I was really impressed with the quality of their sandwich ingredients-you can definitely taste the freshness. I was also happy that they came with a bag of chips included. The service was very fast and I loved how clean this place is. They also have a decently sized seating area as well which I appreciated. Overall, I will definitely come back, I want to try their cracked sourdough bread (available Thurs-weekend). read more

A friend introduced me to this fantastic business a few years ago and I've been in a couple of times since. I always wonder why I don't come in more often. They are open 6am to 6pm, their display cases and available baked goods, especially their breads, are top notch. I'm a sucker for the bread and they often have several varieties available. I try not to buy their sweets and other baked goods to keep my weight manageable, but can't always resist because they all look so good. Their sandwiches are made with fresh quality ingredients, are made to order and are fantastic. Great customer service and an open seating area. If this bakery were close to home rather than my work I would be stopping in weekly. read more

A store down in Orange sells the bread from this business, but it's always a little old, so it doesn't last as long as I'd like. I happened to be out in Rancho Cucamonga, found the store, and dropped in. They bake some of the BEST bread in Southern California! And it lasts far longer when you pick it up FRESH!. I grabbed a loaf of their Gilroy Garlic Sourdough and their classic sourdough and am absolutely THRILLED with both of them! Since I was there, I figured I'd order a BYO sandwich. I used their order form to get a turkey/ham/roast beef with provolone and pepper jack, and a bunch of toppings that included lettuce, tomato, onion, bell peppers, pickles, pepperoncini, and slathered by mustard and mayo. It was a an incredible sandwich and everything was piled HIGH! Of course, since it was custom built for me, I had to wait a bit. Which led to additional purchases of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and a half-dozen snickerdoodles. All of them were baked in house. None of them managed to survive the trip back home. They were THAT good. The crew was friendly and - after I told them this was my first time at the store, they helped me make the best choices. I recently visited Old Town Baking Company and had a really nice experience overall. I ordered a turkey sandwich with veggies, turkey, and provolone cheese on squaw bread, along with a bag of chips. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful--I ended up eating half and saving the rest for later, along with half of my chips. The customer service really stood out. Everyone there was super nice, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel comfortable. They also have a great selection of bakery items--cookies, breads, muffins, and more. The space itself is simple but really nice, with a clean and relaxed atmosphere. It's definitely the kind of place you can sit and enjoy your food. A couple small suggestions: The squaw bread was good, but it breaks pretty easily. I'd recommend getting wetter ingredients (like tomatoes) on the side so the sandwich holds together better. The napkins could be a little stronger--I had to use quite a few of them. Other than that, everything was great. I would definitely go back! read more

I absolutely love Old Town Baking! I feel like it's a secret treasure for breakfast and lunch. If you don't know they serve breakfast, and lunch sandwiches, then you have been asleep. Get down there and try these at once. All you have to do is fill out the little form of what you would like on your sandwich, and what bread you would like it on, and you're all set. If you don't want to take it to go, they have a very nice seating area just on the side, where you can relax, and enjoy your amazing sandwich. Old Town Baking Co stocks one of my fave local markets - Olive's in San Dimas- with their lovely baked treats! On my last visit I grabbed a Lemon Square and it was delightful!! I love any kind of lemon cake and the square was light and spongy with a perfect amount of icing/topping without being too sweet. Prices are great and we definitely look forward to trying more of their baked goods next time we stop at Olives! read more

I accidentally stumbled on this bakery and wow, what a great find. They have so many different types of pastries, breads, breakfast and lunch sandwich items, cookies, pies, etc. The selection of sourdough is especially impressive and I had to pick up a loaf of the seeded sourdough for my daily avocado toast. Absolutely delicious!! I freeze my bread for maximum usage but when I run out, I would totally come back and try the other variations of sourdough. Causal. Great and friendly service. 8/2025 update- RANCHO: Everything. Anything. All at once. Anything you pick up in this bakery is rated 5 stars. Come on, all bakeries are five star IMHO. But this one is really exceptional so here's another star * just because - the place is clean, the service is so friendly and helpful no matter how long the line is, and hands down it's my favorite sourdough. I bought three loaves for hostess gifts LOL. One is for me of course. Yeast Feast. Worth stopping to grab one of their many varieties of bread and goodies. I haven't tried their sandwiches, but judging by the number of people ordering, they must be good. Parking is ample and handicap parking is right in front. One of my coworkers always brings these cookies in and they are so good and addicting. Something about the freshness and softness of the cookies make them so tasty. 4++ This bakery located in Rancho has pastries that you can pick up as well as lots of different breads. My experience was just coming in and picking up cookies. My coworker recommended this place when I was looking for a spot to pick up dessert during the holidays and it sounded perfect. The place has a neighborhood charm to it and the breads lining the tables and walls look really good. I definitely would love to return to buy some of the breads or even just have lunch here. The service was really friendly and helpful in explaining how the purchasing of the cookies works. In terms of the cookies, there's quite a bit of selection. Not sure if it's always like this, but I wanted a larger box to go so you make your selection and you pay by weight. The rate is really reasonable as well. the cookies were a hit at the holiday get together, especially among the kids. The parking is easy because there is a large lot for this strip mall. Although it can get a little busy. I found parking right away, but most of the parking spots were taken when I was driving up. read more

I have had nothing but the best experience in this bakery. We love the bread we've been buying for many many many years. Today we found out that the 6 dollar loaf will be going up to 7.50!! That is a 25% increase!!!! This increase will affect people negatively and I can't see why a smaller percent increase is not more appropriate at this time. Dissapointed! read more

First time here, we tried the breakfast sandwiches and took home a loaf of cheddar sourdough bread. The bagel on the breakfast sandwich was soft, I should have bought the bagels instead of the loaf of bread! The sandwich as a whole was very good and I'd definitely be back for that. The cheddar loaf was good but I wouldn't buy it again. I'd try one of the other flavors though. read more

Outside: There is a lot of parking and it's so easy to find! Inside: It's so big in there now, they have such a huge selection of bread, pastries, and all types of goodies. I've tried just about every type of bread they make, and they all taste the same. I know they are using the same basic sourdough mix, but there is just no real flavor. Their dessert breads, like banana and pumpkin bread, also taste very similar. As for the European cookies, they don't actually make them on-site, yet they charge a premium as if they were homemade from scratch. I've also tried the cobblers and pies, but they are not worth the price. The staff is informative and friendly enough, but they seem reluctant to engage in conversation, almost as if they fear getting in trouble. It doesn't seem like a welcoming workplace. During my last visit, I noticed that prices have increased. They now charge for bags, and the sandwiches contain less meat than before. Things are changing, and sadly, I don't think the owner cares. It seems like he is more focused on making money rather than providing a quality experience. Overall, it's not an enjoyable place to go. read more

Love their bread loaves. Always fresh and tasty. Their sweet breads, however have not been all that great the times I've tried them. They end up being too dry. Stay away from their assorted cookies. The flavors all mix together, making them pretty gross. No one in my house ended up eating them, so it was a waste of money. read more
