While visiting around the Sonora/Twain Harte area me & a rather large group came to togo's for something to eat. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've had because I felt like I wasn't listened to at all. The older lady making my sandwich didn't listen and added stuff I didn't want which was fine I'm not upset about that. The service was extremely frustrating because the older man treated everyone with kindness but my boyfriend and I, mind you we all came in the same group. After one of my friends ordered we were literally standing in line and he helps someone else and completely ignored us!! I'm not talking about not seeing us, I'm talking about going out of his way to ignore us. When he talked to us and rang us up he acted completely different and not friendly at all. read more

Years ago, there was a Togos by where I worked in the Bay Area. I loved it! And I ate at the one in Stockton a few times. I also liked them. But today I ate at the one in Sonora and I could not be more disappointed. The place had no booths. Just some rickety chais at cheap tables. I ordered the Roast Beef (#7). There was nothing a boot it that was good. The Beef I would rate at 5 (scale of 1-10) whereas I remember it being outstanding previously. Just kind of okay. I ordered it hot. It was barely warm, The Bread was the worse thing though. It had no taste. It was indescribably poor. The bread use to be one of the best things about their sandwiches! It is unbelievable that anyone would get rid of good bread to serve this truly tasteless "bread". Service was passable but not good. The sandwich cost as much as I could get a very good hamburger plus an endless supply of fries plus a salad plus a drink and be given good service sitting in a booth at another well known chain. And to add insult to injury, this restaurant charged me 50 cents for a cup of water (She rang it up as "au jus" and told me that was for water). No one does that! So needless to say, my memories of a really great sandwich were met with disappointment today. No longer great, not even good. This is for the service. It would have been a 5 but the manager was calling the prep/cook and she was in tears. Someone is watching everyone on a remote camera! I know they are taking phone orders too. I can advocate for myself if I need to urge someone to wait on me. Good mature help is hard to find. Try using positive reinforcement with this one. She's nice and perhaps a little sensitive. That's a good thing. Be more concerned with the employees when they're rude. I had no issue waiting. And, it was creepy to think I was being watched remotely. I don't really like that. I'm not sure I will be back for that reason alone but it isn't because of your employees. They were nice. Paid $16 bucks for pastrami melt with the works. Lady microwaved it, they used to toast it because it makes it crunchy and melts the cheese just right. This was warm but so soft that the cheese was melted to smithereens. Could barely detect it and the thousand island. I asked for pepproncini, got a half of a pepper on a 12 inch sandwich. Super rude. I'm from out of town and me and my husband were just stopping through and saw that our favorite sandwich shop was here. But this one is the worst! Normally they just ask for your phone number for the rewards, but she didn't even ask, I had to. and when I asked if she could take my phone number and she was so rude and said no you have to use the app, so I got my app out to do it that way and she said "it doesn't work that fast" so my husband just told her nevermind and she continued to be so rude. My coworkers and I usually have a lovely experience with this Togo's but today there was a girl there who just had the worst attitude. The computer said "Carly" or "Carla" for the cashier but I couldn't see. She was a shorter girl and was wearing a grey Togo's shirt but not a name badge. She rolled her eyes and unenthusiastically took our order. When my mom asked for her sandwich toasted, the girl literally ignored and went to grab bread and came back and my mom had to say it again for her to say "Okay". Once she finished our sandwiches, she rang us up without even asking if we had Togo rewards and I told her that I had rewards and she said "I will have to void everything out and start all over" and my mom said no because we already had waited for 10+ minutes to even place our order. Idk what was going on with this girl but if you're not having a good day, just call in sick or leave early or something. Two nice young men were making the sandwiches while we were there on Sunday 8/3/14. Both were very engaging and made two great sandwiches. I ordered my typical regular sized turkey/cheese on sourdough toasted and loaded w/ all the veggies, mustard, and blk pepper. The guy put the right amount of blk pepper on my sandwich- I love that stuff!! My boyfriend ordered the reuben on white- not toasted but he wished it would have been- there's always next time. Remember to check-in on yelp before ordering so you can take advantage of the free soda. Went in today to get some dinner early. First off there is no signage on the door in regards to Covid mask rules. Today it was changed for EVERYONE to wear at ALL indoor operations. When we head up to see a play in Sonora or go up to Pinecrest for a weekend away, we enjoy dropping by and getting Togo's for dinner (and lunch the next day). We went up on Saturday (9/1/18), and it wasn't as awesome of a visit as usual. They were running very slowly this time and customer service was lacking a bit. So I placed my order online through Yelp and it said you can do curbside pickup due to Covid. My receipt said call the number when you arrive and someone will come out to your car. When I arrived, I called and the woman on the phone was so rude to me. She told me my order wasn't curbside and I would have to come inside. She didn't even offer to come out. And the place was packed, no one was social distancing. When I went up to the counter to get my order she then explained to me in front of everyone loudly how to order correctly. I told her it wasn't a problem and I left. When I got home my order was wrong. I didn't even get the right sandwich after all that. I wasn't going to complain about the curbside mix up but than when I saw I had the wrong sandwich I decided to post this. Please have better customer service. If someone doesn't order correctly even though I just followed the prompts online, you can still take the initiative to come out to someone's car. Especially during a pandemic. read more

Nice friendly service but the sandwiches don't have as much meat and cheese like they used to. We ordered the daily special and the roast beef was very light but it was loaded with mayo and lettuce. Customer service at this location is what gives this place a 1 star rating. We are not from the area however are often up here. This is our second time in and both times been met with staff lacking in satisfactory customer service. They make sandwiches to order and you can pick what you want on your sandwich. My husband went in to order and the server helping him rushed his order, spoke way to fast and did not give him the opportunity to ask for everything he wanted on his sandwich before pushing him off to the teller to pay and began helping another customer. I get it its lunch time you guys are busy, however when a guest knows what they want on their sandwich. Allowing them the extra minute to tell you they want cheese and more than just lettuce before you slather on mayo and mustard after being told he wanted mayo and light mustard, then slapping on his meat and abruptly telling him where to pay all with an attitude is not acceptable. You work in the food industry and in customer service, I did too and I can tell you no matter how busy you are that is not how you treat a customer. Especially when this is the field of workers pushing for $15+ an hour pay. It needs to be shown that you deserve that pay to make me want to pay more for my food to compensate for your wage increase and this restaurant has been a fine example of me not wanting to pay for a sandwich I am not going to like when I lave because staff is in too much of a hurry and wants to get me out the door. I would rather wait a few extra minutes in line and know that I will leave with the sandwich I want. read more

First off, I called our local Togos to see if they are participating in the $5 wrap special and the lady that answered the phone was rude and just said no (disappointed that our Togos isn't participating in this, I would have spent a fortune and my daughter and I would have gone a bunch of times!) But that didn't detere us, it's a hit and miss (mostly miss) there but we risked it. Too bad. Just went there (6:30pm) on a Sunday night. There was one person in front of us and two people working. When me and my daughter first walked in, none of the two women acknowledged us. Then after waiting around 7 or 8 minutes of completely being ignored we left and went to Subway.
