The prices are decent and you get free chips and salsa, but it could not be further from authentic. The lengua tasted like squishy meat mush. It wasn't awful but it was not lengua. Unfortunately, being up here in the mountains the options are very limited. The average person out here probably wouldn't even know the difference, but if you've ever lived in SF/LA/etc this is going to be a hard pass. The salsa was mild (even the hot), the jalapeños were boiled (yeah...), and the radishes were old. It was also filthy. The floor was sticky, the salsa bar had stuff everywhere. Great female working the counter! Friendly, helpful, sweet demeanor . The taco I had for lunch, couldn't have been more disgusting, both in flavor and size! Chips were okay, the salsa was nothing like other Mexican eateries. $30.00 for the worst lunch ever. I believe they will be out-of-business in a year. We had great food and experience consistently after they had been open about a month. We went 6-8 times and the 8th time our super burritos with shrimp and carne asada plus added grilled veggies tasted (and looked) like dog food that had been regurgitated into a tortilla. All burritos (three different types) were flavorless and it was so unappealing for taste we couldn't bare to go have them remade. A grilled shrimp super burrito, chicken super burrito, and carne asada burrito shouldn't ALL taste the same and completely flavorless. We haven't gone back in 7 months now... it's unfortunate because it started off so well and the food tasted delicious and flavorful. I hope that we just had an off day but unfortunately, we will not go back. The girl in the drive thru seemed incompetent and I had to repeat myself multiple times throughout the order and while at the window. I also ordered beef burritos. What would you think is in a beef burrito? Maybe beef, maybe some cheese, rice, beans? Nope! JUST BEEF. An ungodly amount of shredded beef wrapped in a tortilla. That's all. I've been to the location in Lodi a few times. I had expectations walking into the new location. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. First of all, the restaurant was clean. I was looking for a breakfast item and asked if chilaquiles were on the menu. The guy behind the counter was super helpful and got me exactly what I was looking for. They weren't the best chilaquiles I've ever had but they hit the spot. I would return the next time we're in the area. read more

We are staying at a nearby recreational area and wanted some fast mexican food. We had never been to a California Burrito so thought we would give it a try. One of the great things was their free chips and salsa bar. The menu is extensive also which was impressive for fast food. Prices were reasonable. My husband got the Carne Asada Burrito, which was huge! He really enjoyed it and still took half of it home- a bargain for about $12. I was disappointed with my cheese enchiladas, however. It was room temperature, and the shredded cheese had never melted. I essentially got shredded cheese in a tortillas covered in a red sauce, sprinkled with more shredded cheese and lettuce. I didn't complain because there was a line, so I just ate it. For me, the best part were the chips and the salsa bar. Since one of the meals was good we'd go again, but try something else. read more

The only reason I gave a 4 ~ if there was a 4.5, I'd have rated it that ~ is bc it was rather warm inside. The air conditioning was working, it just wasn't that cool inside. I like this location better than the Sonora one. The food is decent it's not the best and not the worst. The salsa's really good and they have great breakfast burritos. I like the chicken enchiladas. I have been here a few times recently for breakfast burritos. Everything I have had here so far had been good and I have not been disappointed. I recently tried the Macha & Eggs Breakfast burrito, and it is one of the best breakfast burritos that I have ever had! It is the size of their standard huge burrito, but filled with steak, eggs, grilled peppers and onions, and no fillers. When I was handed the burrito it was extremely heavy, probably well over a pound. I though that there had to be rice and beans filling up the majority of the burrito - not so! This burrito is all steak and veggies. Paired with their spicy red sauce, this burrito is amazing. One burrito is enough for 2 or 3 meals. The people in the drive-through were nice and professional. Overall I would recommend this place for breakfast. I will have try it for lunch or dinner soon. read more

The food and service were excellent. I had a chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. It was a great value. My wife had a chimichanga and it was also delicious. Again, a great value. Along with the meal there a a chips bar with a variety of salsas. The only reason it's not a five is because it was very warm inside the restaurant. Granted it was a summer's day, it did take away from the overall experience. read more

We have eaten at other locations and this one doesn't disappoint. The food and service was quite good. My wife had the Asada Fries. It was a really large serving and she ate the whole thing. We were given several salsas, napkins, and utensils. I had a pineapple drink, it was fresh and tasty. I had rolled tacos, guacamole, and cheese. It was loaded with guac and cheese and piping hot. We will be back again soon. The store itself looks newly decorated and has a great atmosphere. read more

I've been to this place twice, with similar results both times. Prices are very high, place is dirty (today several empty tables with liquid and other crap on them). I was the only person in there today and it took about 15 minutes to get a burrito. A place with burrito in their name ought to be able to whip out a carnitas burrito in a few minutes.... the taco trucks do. I give them some credit for having a very minimal salsa bar & chips that are included. Both times my burritos were big and pretty tasteless. First time it was a breakfast burrito, today it was carnitas. Both way below taco truck grade in taste. I won't be back. read more

Cashiers were very nice and the place did look clean. However, the food was less than impressive. Very bland and greasy tacos and the churros were honestly gross. I feel like they over compensate with the amount of lettuce. I'll be sticking to the taco truck for now. Best of luck to them though. read more
