They're like 7-11s on every corner, but this particular Togo's for some reason doesn't think that it needs employees to help the customers I've never been in this Togo's where there's been more than one young teenager working no matter how busy it gets. I would think of myself as a connoisseur of Italian sandwiches. I love them; favorite sandwich of all time! So seeing that TOGO'S in Tulare finally delivers to us in Visalia was amazing! The Italian to me first started off "incredible!" One of the best in my opinion, but.. then slowly started to decline into just "alright." It needed more dressing, maybe some pepperoni for an added spiciness. Plus this one came with Black Forest ham, I'm not a fan of Black Forest ham. But the bread was fantastic, the Italian dressing was one of the best I've ever had! Pro Tip: ask for more Italian dressing when ordering an Italian from here. I think TOGO'S didn't get a fair shot down here in Visalia. I feel like having to drive to Tulare for a sandwich kind of sucks, but it's worth it. So I've come to this place for the same exact order of a hummus wrap a couple times after my first experience since it's the only Togo's in town.. the couple times I came in between the first and last were okay. Hours seemed inconsistent and not accurate with what the times say on Google but the food was made acceptable. Price is high for what I order but it didn't stop me from buying it because.. cravings. Anyway, this last time blew my mind. I went in 2 days ago for a veggie hummus wrap because that's the only thing I will order... the gentleman helping me seemed very polite. I was polite in return and asked kindly if he could spread the hummus around as I've been to a different Togo's in the past where a lady put a ginormous glob of hummus, didn't spread it, and it ended up on one side of the wrap falling out of the bottom causing me to just throw everything away because it was such a disgustingly messy amount. He understood and happily agreed to spread the hummus. Everything seemingly went good. I couldn't see what he was doing because the counters are always too high to see anything. When I left and found a place to park and eat in my car, i realized he did exactly the opposite of what I requested.. it was almost insulting. I couldn't imagine it being anything but intentional. Blew my mind to the point of me literally regretting tipping him. I ate most of the wrap... although impossible without making a huge mess on my hand and clothes.. but I didn't have time to go back and it would've been awkward anyway. The wrap completely fell apart and huge globs of hummus came out of mostly one end. I don't understand why people think that's acceptable and edible? Have they not be trained.. or have they never eaten hummus?... like I don't get it. It's gross. Worst sub sandwich I've ever had! Togo's is normally one of my favorite sub places, and because there aren't many, I always look forward to having it. The bread at this Togo's (Tulare outlets) was so stale I couldn't even eat it. I was splitting a sandwich with a friend and I assured him that Togo's has good wheat bread. The worst Togo's I've been to yet. You'd think it wouldn't be hard to duplicate a cookie-cutter sandwich that is made exactly the same way at hundreds of locations, but alas, here they did. I ordered a 9" turkey avocado. The girl behind the counter had about as much personality as the bread she was cutting and didn't even ask me what I wanted as far as toppings. She just through it all together in a goopy, hastily-assembled mess. I could only eat half of it because of the imbalance in ingredients. It was mostly borderline stale bread. My advice? Ate here a few days ago and it was terrible. The girl messed up my sandwich and also my mom's. Went to ask the girl if she had any mustard packets since she left mustard off my sandwich,even though she asked me if I wanted any and I said yes. She went to the back and brought back some mustard packets which she looked at them closely and that made me think they were old. So mad. Very satisfied with our food and service today, but let me tell you guys what we witnessed. There was one girl working alone on a Sunday. There was a line, and people waiting for mobile orders and pick up orders. THE MANAGER comes up with a rude tone, seeing the girl work so hard to please everyone and get everyone their food in a timely fashion, ask "Why are the mobile orders not done?" The girl said she's alone and has to juggle mobile and people in line. She asked for help. The lady give this poor girl a dirty look, sighs deeply, stares at all of the customers, before saying "Get it done, I'm going to take a break and use the bathroom." WHAT A WITCH! Evil woman! We gave that girl a huge tip for putting up with that condescending, horrible supervisor/manager/owner or whoever she was! She was a shorter lady, very rude eyes. Everyone couldn't believe what we just saw and heard. My husband yelled out, "Wow, that piece of dirt just left you alone on the island huh? What a team player!" I love Togos! This location is always clean and has good customer service. A good variety of sandwiches, soups and any sandwich can be turned into a healthier wrap! Bread has always been fresh as well as toppings. My only complaint is they charge 4.50 for a small cup of soup..with no option to add soup to your sandwich for a better price. I'd also like to see them offer the rewards program like other Togos since I eat here weekly..they keep saying it should be coming soon. Never even been in the restaurant but I called to see if I could get a delivery ordered at 7:10 on a Sunday night. The guy who answered stuttered an answer that since it was slow their boss told them to close early so they weren't taking any more orders. It clearly states on their website that they close at 8:30. Horrible customer service!!!! My sandwich was made wrong. I returned to the store and was told they couldn't remake my sandwich because there was no more bread. I was never apologized to. I asked for a refund instead. The girl helping me took my card and "refunded me". Later that night after checking my bank statement I found out that I had actually been charged again. So I now paid twice and received no food. I returned to the store and explained what had happened. I asked for a gift card to make up for the amount that I had been charged. I was told they couldn't do that. I asked how we were going to fix the situation and was told it was "my fault, I shouldn't have thrown away the receipt". I actually had the receipt from my original order. I showed the girl my bank statement clearly showing I had been charged twice. She said, "nope I refunded you". I was then told to "call back later to talk to someone else". I have called 15 times and not once has the phone been answered. So at this point I have still paid for two sandwiches and received no food. And am told there is nothing that can be done about it. read more

I am giving this a 2 star because of how good the food can be. However its the total lack of knowledge by the staff that is taking what could be a 4 star to a 1-2 star. I always get delivery down the street, even though this location isnt actually setup for delivery since they dont charge for it. But today they " were to busy to deliver", now I understand being busy and having a long wait. But to basically tell a customer that they cannot serve them??? Never heard of that before. There is 1 compatent person that I have dealt with and had a good experience. The rest either barely speak english, and have no knowledge of the food, or who/if they even deliver. Last time I ordered I had to remind the kid that he needs to take my card info over the phone... I mean when you know the process for payment better than the staff... that a problem.
