This place is so clean, the workers are all friendly and the food is always fresh and good. I prefer this "fast food" place than most in town for a quick burger and their fried green beans. Been here dozens of times never had any issues. read more

The food is okay though the fries are under seasoned. The customer service was bad. Their menu board on the drive thru was not lit, we came at night so it's hard to see the menu. We told the staff but she just brushed us off and hurried us to place our order. We ended up going to the window to order where she kept telling me "I can't hear you" repeatedly. No effort on this staff to hear me, lean forward on the window or whatever. My son even noticed she kept on talking over me and acting very rude. read more

The food is always good but my rating is for the tip/payment pad. Mind you this a walk in and order. Pour your own drinks, get your own condiments, napkins, and anything else you need plus pickup your own food. However when you order they spin around the tip pad and many have a tip jar or glass. To pay you either tip or have to press the no tip button. Why is this even an option?? You do nothing but take an order. Get rid of the tip pad or I'm done with the habit. read more

I was excited to learn that my hometown has hit the big time with its own location of The Habit Burger Grill which is so much better than the usual suspects that you find in every town. The Habit menu has a large variety of options, but not so much that you will have a hard time deciding what to order. The Santa Barbara Char is my personal fave and go to item, however, the "Char-Burger" is their claim to fame and my other favorite item. They also offer a veggie burger and chicken sandwich which I want to try sometime. There is a good selection of sides to choose, which even come in half order sizes if you can't decide between two different items. The food at this location has always been consistent and fast considering everything is made to order. I love the "CHAR" taste of the burgers... it really stands out from the other fast food burger joints. The fries and onion rings are some of the best and are always perfectly cooked. There is a drive thru at this location and plenty of outdoor seating and parking. read more

Food is good. Location is hard to get in and out of... but that whole 99/Prosperity on ramp/off ramp is a cluster of a disaster. I seriously don't know who designed it or why Tulare decided to make Prosperity a main street. Anyway this location seems to be not as popular nor as busy as the Visalia one, but takes longer somehow. Good place but sort of a hassle. read more

The food at this Habit is not as good as other Habit restaurants. Plus, the service stinks. Also, they play games with the price charging on combos. There is an In and Out Burger down the street which has better food and honest prices. This Habit is empty most of the time, and there is a reason for that. read more

It's good to see some new restaurants here in porterville. Came here on their soft opening and everyone was on top of it. This is a great staff and the food is good. The service was phenomenal. Went in this evening and ordered 2 BBQ bacon burgers, 1 with cheese and the other without. The order was repeated back to me as I had ordered it. The receipt shows it as I ordered it. Got home both had cheese. Here is my problem, one of us is allergic cheese, every bit of burger had to be scrapped so bacon was lost. Your people all want $15.00 an hour, yet can't get an order right! Had ANY cheese been left, and the person who is allergic to it ended up in the hospital with an allergic reaction to it. Who do you think would have to pay the hospital bill?? Not me OR my insurance. You make more than most of us on social security, it would be nice if you would protect your customers and make the order right! read more

The restaurant was brand new so it was clean and everybody was nice. Our food was ready quickly and looked tasty. It was not. Eating the burger I had textures of a cheeseburger but didn't taste anything. There was no flavor to any component of the burger. I didn't taste the beef, cheese, onions, mayo, pickles, nothing. My husband said the same thing of his BBQ bacon burger. He said he could taste the BBQ sauce but that was it. The prices were a bit inflated. We tried it but will not be back. We decided to stop on our way home from Palm Springs and we stopped here for lunch. I'm glad we decided to eat in the parking lot after going through the drive thru because my girls were missing their applesauce from their kids meals. My girls are 3 and 7 so when we are road tripping we usually go thru the drive thru and sit in the parking lot to eat so they can watch a movie and we can relax for a little bit without going in and out of somewhere. Today, we went to this branch and ordered salad, etc. Since their kitchen is an open concept, you are able to watch and see how food is beIng prepared. I noticed this gentleman who prepared our salad who was not even wearing gloves and handled the raw vegetables with bare hands which I found unsanitary. He knew he was being watched. He still went on touching the screen, etc then back to preparing our salad cooking the chicken. On the other hand there was another gentleman wearing gloves but cleaning up. So it means that they are just protecting themselves from getting dirty but not protecting their customers from possible illness. I am calling the attention of the supervisor or manager to please train your employees on proper food handling. California lawmakers have done a 180 on a controversial law that required food workers to wear disposable gloves when handling ready-to-eat foods. ... Well its a sad ending for me. This has been my favorite burger joint since it opened in Tulare. The customer service is amazing here. The spicy fried green beans are a must! Unfortunately today was my last of it. I went through drive through it was a long wait with only one car in front of me. I ordered a char burger among other items but when I got home and about half ways through my burger it was completely pink in the middle. Grossed me out and I hope I dont get sick.
